Another of the Cape Cardinale series, in which four siblings have to spend a year together at the house they inherited from their no-good philandering father. And no one knows what that year will bring.
For Alexa, a job as assistant to a teacher who doesn't want her help, it leads to an unexpected romance fueled by Dr. West D'Angelo's genius-level son who happens to be in Alexa's classroom. He adores her and wishes she were the permanent teacher.
But that's not to be until the regular teacher has pneumonia and Alexa steps in to teach the class and make some key decisions she never expected, including one involving romance.
