Rate this book
GOOD LIFE TO HOOD LIFE Born with a platinum spoon in her mouth thanks to her drug-dealing parents, Fancy is a young, spoiled princess. But when havoc enters the picture and the Feds seize her family's ill-gotten gains, Fancy's lavish Caribbean trips are traded in for cold winter nights in the heart of the hood. When the gravity of Fancy's situation causes her to crumble, it's her roots that put her back together. Unwilling to stay down, Fancy realizes that she was born to hustle, and this American Gangstress is reborn. What emerges is a fierce contender the streets aren't ready for.

This book was so good, and for only 2.99 on google play, it was well worth it. The relationship Fancy had with Nasir was so strange and nasty, but the was a big relief for meat the end. However I see that part two is gonna be a whole new can of worms do to the fact Nasir haven't been 100% loyal, But her mother, Belen that chick is a ruthless "Bitch, I believe Fancy is gonna be a split image of her. ITS A MUST READ AND YOU Won't BE DISAPPOINTED!

Fancy is your normal hood princess. She is born with a silver spoon in her mouth and has absolutely no worries. All of that changes when her drug dealing parents are arrested and everything they own is seized by the feds. Green to the streets Fancy tries to put her life together like her parents did. Only when complete havoc takes control will Fancy see her way through, but at what cost?

This was a very good read with lots of drama. There were times in the story when I wanted Fancy to wising up. She was green for much too long in my opinion, especially based on all of the things she had gone through and witnessed. The ending was a tad bit far-fetched. All in all I am willing to continue the series.

This book was good, good GOOD! The was by far the best street lit book I have read. Words can not explained how much I enjoyed this book! The Rise of an American Gangstress is about a privileged teenager name Fancy who has always had a silver spoon in her mouth traveling all over the world shopping and enjoying life without a care in the world. When she comes home from Paris one day to her parents being arrested her perfect world changes forever. This book is full of lies, sex, murder, drama, revenge and more lies. This is an unpredictable pageturner! Can't wait to read part 2!

This book was so good that I read the entire book in one afternoon. Although I thought some parts were predictable I still loved the way the author weaved the story together. Fancy is grimy, selfish, ruthless and on the "come up", but I still find myself rooting for her. Now on to book two.

It took a minute....

It took a minute but Fancy extra gullible ass won me over. I went from thinking "what an idiot!" To thinking " ok lil mama! I see you! " I am intrigued enough to want to continue with the next book.

This book is a page-turner! Fancy, Fancy, Fancy! I couldn't imagine being in her shoes when her life drastically changed. Going from having everything, the picture-perfect life, to having nothing at all. Not even a family. Seeing the way she navigated this new life intrigued me! I was shocked and honestly impressed! This book was definitely worth the read. I found myself thirsting for more drama with every page!

Fancy Lane was definitely her mother's child. I've often heard the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and I agree. Her mom was a mob queen and not the dad. Fancy followed in her mom's footsteps. She committed her first murder by killing a six year old child. She and Nasir came up in the game and started living together. Can't wait for part 2. Good Read.

Ok

This was an okay read and although there's another book, my journey stops here. I don't get how Fancy became so in tune with the drug and murder game because she was sheltered all her life. It just doesn't feel believable
