St. Pete Beach is getting weird. Between warlocks, shark shifters, and wolf packs going to war, Hali Waverly and Gray Hunter have their hands full. Things get even worse when shifters with ties to Gray’s pack start attacking people on the beach. What’s even weirder is that when the duo step in during a frothing melee, the shifters drop dead before they can be questioned.
How is that even happening?
Hali has her suspicions, and they revolve around Marmaduke Epson, the warlock who escaped punishment only weeks before. She’s convinced he’s close…and plotting against them. Finding him is easier said than done, however.
Hali is determined to track down Marmaduke and cut him off at the knees before he can cause more trouble. Unfortunately for her, the closer she gets, the weirder the mystery becomes. It seems Marmaduke isn’t the only powerful enemy in the area. And this new enemy means business.
Hali’s frustration with shifter politics is about to spill over. Marmaduke’s ties to Gray’s pack mean trouble for everybody involved.
It seems death is coming to St. Pete Beach. Just who will survive the ultimate fight, and what will the collateral damage look like?

Carries on from where the last book finished.
Instead of a different villain we have a continuation of the story begun in the last book. Marmaduke (the warlock) did not.succeed in his plan to steal the diamonds and when he was exposed he threatened innocents with death in order to escape. He assured Hali they were not done and th the would be back for his revenge now Hali and Grey are waiting ...............nervously.............for whatever comes next. Then one day there is a commotion on the beach, a wolf shifter is rampaging on the beach in his wolf form, terrorizing the human beachgoers. Grey and Hali deal with the shifter but on checking they find the man is now dead, Hali did not use enough magic to kill the man so the questions are, what did kill him and more importantly what caused him to rampage on the beach in the first place........... Then they find this is not the first shifter attack but the third in two weeks........................

The War is Starting
Hali and Gray are here with all their family and friends but trouble starts when a fully shifted Wolf foaming at the mouth tries to attack beach goers only to be subdued by Hali’s magic, but suddenly the wolf dies shifting back to human form without Hali having used enough magic to hurt him. This is just the beginning of more attacks and surprises which could be the start of the Marmaduke Warlock wars. You don’t want to miss this book because it s just part one of what could be the deadliest fight Hali, Gray and their covens and Packs have ever had to fight. You have to read this book first to understand the reason for the war in the first place, happy reading my friends;)

Life on the beach turns to life on the rocks for a time for Hali. Danger is in store as villain returns, so Hali and Gray along the coven and the shifters unite forces to battle someone they didn’t see coming.
Unexpected factions work together, like the sirens and the shark shifters (Jagger sure is chatty). They work side by side with another blast from the past Vin, who protects Bod and his groupie gals (no, not making this up).
It’s a family and friends affair of effortand support and the villain really is astounding. And the main character is one of my favs, she is delightful.
This is such an entertaining novel and an absolutely worthwhile read

I eagerly await each new book, and devour it within hours of it's release. Oh, well...
I had a lot of fun reading this latest installment of the series. Things are heating up in the magic department as a new wave of paranormal happenings threatens Hali and company. This is a continuation of the story line from the previous book - no spoilers - and I loved every minute of it. Now the wait is on for book 11.

I love this series and this book. Hali and Grey are so cute and devoted. The surprise at the end of this book had me thinking it was going to be a bit longer, but I will look forward to the tying up the ends left open at the end of this book. The different types of paranormals in the book is very interesting. I am also quite curious about the Flamingo familiar and his story. I highly recommend this book and Author.

Another great Hali-Gray book
This is one of my favorite series. I enjoy the Hali-Gray team and that they both have active parts of the story. Rusty and Carrie seem to have hit a good friend relationship to help round out a foursome. Nice set up at the end for an overarching story for a few books.

OMG, *Another* "tune in next time.." Story!
It's not that I think Hali should just casually kill all her opponents, but sometimes it seems more of a character flaw than restraint. It's very unsatisfying to read. And the cult was there all day; (and so was her grandmother) why didn't she at least try to talk to Wayne?! Or get better background. Phooey!

disappointed
I love your books and I have almost all of them. This was disappointingly close to a cliff hanger. It will be a long time before the next book is out so a cliff hanger is mean. Disappointed, I trusted you to always leave a satisfying ending.

Good read
Book 10 finds the crew battling on the beach again. There is humor, danger, murder, mystery, shifters, witches, love, romance, and loads of magic and other paranormals. Highly entertaining.

Great story
The witch and the wolf for the win sort of but it was definitely worth the read. I absolutely love this series and can’t wait to see what happens next. Read it you won’t be disappointed.

Great story!
I love Ms. Hart's stories! Out of all the different books I read she is my favorite author. She has a fun sense of humor that she writes interesting mysteries around. You won't be sorry to buy any of her books.

Totally enjoyed it! This is a well written and has well developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
