To be honest, this book really took me by surprise of how well done it was. The story plot line was perfect and the way the words about appeared throughout the story were really creative, matching the scenes of the story. The message I saw in the story was to never judge anyone by their “cover” so to say. Although, all they could hear was a big booming sound that they thought was something scary, it turned out to be something they didn’t expect. The illustrations, done by Jon Lycett-Smith, were very well done. They really brought the book to life. The colors he used in the book were very creative and matched every scene. I think that it will draw in children to this book because of that.
If you are looking for a good book to splash up your summer, you should check this one out. If there was a fun summer book to recommend right now, this would be the one I would for all you out there.
