A rebellious prince, a reluctant witch, and a mysterious prophecy, twisted together in a tale of Beauty and the Beast
Trapped in an underground palace Prince Kian must remain a beast, or give in to the queen’s plan to strip him of his powers. But Kian refuses to submit to his mother's evil plan and is determined to escape both his prison and his curse—even if it means dabbling in witch's magic.
On the run for most of her life, Bryanna MacElvy has never learned to use her healing Gift. When she’s pulled by Kian’s spell into his prison, the prince sees the golden witch as his salvation. Refusing to let her, or to accept she is incapable of curing him, Kian offers her a terrible bargain—heal him, or give up her freedom forever.
Their lives entwined by fate, the prince must learn to love a human and Bryanna must learn to trust herself—or risk losing their freedom, his powers, and their passion, to the evil of the Black Queen.

I fell in love with the first book in the series , so I was so excited when I found out Jessica had written book two. Prince of blood and bone isn't your kids beauty and the beast. This is a wicked tale that continues the trials of the black court. This is Prince Kian's book . As he is so trying to get himself out of the prison , his mother has put him in . He is also under a curse that has him a beast. He will not give into his mothers demands and marry Argona. No one wants to marry Argona . She can suck the powers right out of a man .
As he tries to find a witch to help him. He spells Bryanna MacElvey to his side. A witch and healer. But he doesn't know that she hasn't had any training . Because she has been on the run trying to stay alive. Kian gives her an offer she can't refuse, help cure him of the curse and he will help her find her family. As they start unravel the curse, things don't do right and they are in danger. Will they survive and will they realize that they love each other,
This is a truly beautiful book. Such a page turner, You are sucked into a world of elves and the courts of the fairies . There are such strong characters in this book, Bryanna is a healer/witch that doesn't have the faith in herself . At the first you kind a want to shake her and say man up a bit. As you see her with Kian she becomes such a strong woman and starts fighting for what she wants and needs. She fought Kian all the way until the end,
You know how in fairy tales the Prince always saves the damsel in distress . Well not in this story. The heroine does the saving and the loving and all. Not saying that Prince Kian is a wimp oh heavens no. But Bryanna does help him out of his dilemma and they both go and save each other.
You will shed a tear, cheer and scream at your e reader while reading this book. The action is great and the love story takes a life of its own. Jessica weaves the best twisted fantasy . I think that you should try her books the first being the DARK HUNTSMAN with yummy LOGAN
then this one. Trust me if you like twisted fairy tales and you like elves, fairies and witches . These are the books for you. It would be a great read curled up on the couch or on that lazy day in the hammock .
A dark, thrilling, and romantic twist on Beauty and the Beast, Prince by Blood and Bone was a wonderful fantasy romance. I really liked this book and I enjoyed reading it.
Bryanna was a good heroine. She was stronger than she gave herself credit for and very loyal and protective of her family. I got frustrated with her a few times because she tended to get stubborn about the wrong things and I wanted her to step up and actually fight. She did, eventually, so I ended up being okay with her.
Kian was wonderful. He was determined to free himself of his curse so that he could end the fight that he started with his evil mother years ago. He was very loyal to his followers and his loved ones. And, he was also sweet, when he let himself be. I really liked him.
The romance was lovely. The chemistry between Bryanna and Kian was super hot, with tons of steaminess to go around. And, they were sweet together, when they both finally let their walls down. I thought they were a great couple.
The plot was fast paced and I was hooked then entire way through. There were a few twists that I didn't expect. I enjoyed the story and the ending has me curious about what will happen next.
Prince by Blood and Bone was a wonderful fantasy romance. I really liked this dark, romantic read. Romance lovers, this is a book worth checking out.

Prince by Blood and Bone is a steamy twist on the fairy tale Beauty and the Beast – and I loved every second of it. While definitely not Disney’s version of B&B, there’s a cursed prince with a temper and a captured beauty…who happens to be just the witch a brooding elf prince needs. Bryanna is the youngest witch of the McElvy clan, a clan hunted relentlessly by the Black Queen to prevent the prophecy of her downfall. Kian, the queen’s son, spends his day cursed as a beast, trapped in an abandoned castle…until he manages to work a spell and summon Bryanna to his lonely goblin kingdom. He believes Bryanna is the key to his cure, but Bryanna’s magic skills leave much to be desired. Together, they must learn to trust one another and conquer their flaws and fears or risk losing everything. If you loved The Dark Huntsman…Prince by Blood and Bone is even better. Plus, Solanum returns (love him – he totally needs his own story) with Logan and Trina—it was like reuniting with old friends. A fun, sexy, adventure woven with magic, humor, romance, political intrigue, and an ending that left me more than ready for the next book. Can’t wait!
Title: Cursed Series: Fae Magic #2 Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: Jessica Aspen Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Serial: Standalone, No Cliffhanger #PRN #BlackQueen #Fae #Witch 5Stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ •••••••••••••• 💢Holly Cow on Rollerblades! Fan-Blessed -Tastic there is everything in this mind blowing book - Adventure, Survival, Fear, Betrayal, Suspense, Action Packed, Loyalty, Hate, Love, Wickedly Hot Scenes - so much Drama, Revenge, Sacrifice! Definitely a Must Read! 🔹️ Bryanna MacElvy is a Witch Healer, she’s just isn’t good at it. Bryanna, her mom and sister are being hunted by the Black Queen all that’s left of her family. On the run she is whisked away by a spell that takes her to the home of Kian or is it a prison? 🔹️Kian is a Prince who has been cursed by the Black Queen. Hundreds of years he’s been stuck in the same structure, in a monsters body never to go outside. He conjures up a Witch from a spell book so she can break his curse. If the Queen finds out the Witch is dead. ☄️ This review is my own opinion, this author is new for me but not for long, I plan of reading all her books.
This series continues to impress. The 2nd in Aspens 'Tales of the Black Court' we learn about the missing Prince and his struggles in captivity.
It took a surprising percentage of the book for our new hero to meet Logan from book 1. And we learn that whilst Trina (from book 1) has been in the Fae lands for nearly a year for her family on the outside it has only been a few weeks.
The book concludes with a rapid battle scene, the action reaches climax and then we see our heroes preparing to put a final push on the Black Queen (presumably this happens in book 3). There is a cliff hanger in as much as one of the characters is yet to be rescued from the Queen and although a smaller battle has been won they are still fighting the war.
Again this book twisted fairy tales with Fae magic, if not quite as much as book 1, where is was quite obvious what fairy tales were being referenced, it was still evident and was well done.
Joins my 24hr reads, and is one of the longer page counts on this list.
In the first book of this series we met Trina, Bryanna is Trina’s cousin, who is like a sister, and this is her story. In this story it takes awhile for our heroine to meet the beast that is Prince Kian. Prince Kian has been cursed by the Black Queen, who happens to be his mother. She transforms him into a beast form so he searches for a witch. Bryanna is the witch who hasn’t had any training. Bryanna is captured by Kian he tells her that if she helps him with his curse he will help her find her family. This is a darker version of Beauty and the Beast, definitely not the Disney version. I loved the first book but I think…I love this one more! I especially loved Kian.

I was drawn in from the first pages of reading! The action and emotions were intense. I immediately liked all of the characters and were invested in them. This was a slight twist on the Beauty and the Beast, only more magic, more curses and more action. I wanted more for Bryanna and she found her way to it. Although at the beginning she might not have seen it that way. Prince Kian just wanted company and didn’t dare dream of freedom from his curse, until that moment when he did. After that everything changes. This story kept a great pace and my interest. While this is the second in the series, I don’t feel like I missed anything by starting with this one.
While I am no fan of cliff hanger endings, I am glad that the next book was available to pick up and read. The story is a unique twist on Beauty and the Beast.
The first was hard to get thru . This one was easier. So far the books are okay. I will read the series only once and will delete them when I am done. I won't be suggesting these books to anyone.
what's up with mating far with human witches. oh, wait the witches have some fae blood don't they. ok, just yanking your chain. good story and good melding of stories. i like your stories, good job.
Just what I needed a beautiful pure fantasy tale to take me out of this world and escape in to another. Brilliant. Really enjoying the series. Kudos, Jessica Aspen.
What a spicy thrilling ride! Kian and Bryanna are finally together and at peace, and they are with Logan and Trina. But how long will that last? And Cassie is now missing, the Queen of the Black Court's right hand man has taken her. There is still lots more craziness on the way. I wish I could give this book more than five stars. I loved it.
So we all met Trina in book one, and Bryanna is Trina’s cousin, who is like a sister, and this is her story. I loved the story telling, and the continuation of the re-telling of fairy tales, and this one is Beauty and the Beast. And there’s a whole new twist to it. :) There’s a prince who needs more than just a swift kick to his ass, and there’s a lovely lady that eventually figures out she can be the one to do just that! LOL
Kian is a little crazy. I completely get that he’s been locked up by his crazy mother, and twisted horribly, but you should be nice to the lady who can help you, not throw childish temper tantrums. And he seriously doesn’t wanna to marry the crazy scary troll lady who is a lunatic! Worse than his queen mother :) I actually liked Kian when he wasn’t being nutty. He has a sophisticated way about him, and kindness, even growing up with who he did. He’s finally gotten his hands on a witch, and he sometimes forgets that you should ask nicely, not throw furniture and demand. He made me giggle, then feel sorry for him, then want to slap him, then want to hug him. He may be the most complex of the male characters of all. And he deserves his HEA just like Logan did for all of his troubles. :)
Ok, I have one seriously big complaint about Bryanna…. Shut up, stop whining, get your ass off the floor and stop acting like you can’t do anything at all. OK, complain over. I actually liked her, alot, until she needed to be serious about things and then she’d fall apart, and whine like a 5 year old told to do her chores, and blame everyone for her not having her right powers to do the things she need to do. She actually just needed to freaking try. However, she’s also loyal, brave, funny, and very willing to help, even after Kian throws massive temper tantrums. When he finally put his temper aside, and Trina showed up, it’s like everything clicked into place. Kian got his act together, and Bryanna figured out she’s a damn good witch, no more whining. :) I like my heroines a little more ask for forgiveness then ask for permission, so I am extremely happy Bryanna finally shaped into the first.
And then there’s always the surprise ending, which left me a little shocked, and very excited for the next book, but boy I hope it’s not too far away! I look forward to what’s happening with Trina, Logan, Bryanna, Kian, Solanum the Crazy Puca–please tell me he’s going to get himself a woman soon- the lovely hounds, and even the crazy Queen. She is seriously loosing it! And I just want more. :) 5 hairy, scary, beautifully broken PAWS!!!
This is book 2 of the Fae Magic series I loved it and I can’t wait to read book 3. Prince Kian has been cursed by the Black Queen his mother to be in beast form she has put him in his own kind of prison so he searches for a witch. Bryanna is that witch / healer who hasn’t had any training she is captured by Kian he tells her that if she helps him with his curse he will help her find her family but either of them didn’t see love coming, there plenty of action, adventure, danger, passion and so much more to keep you entertained and turning the pages. This is a darker version of Beauty and the Beast it’s a fantastic story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.
Bryanna doesnt have much faith in her gift or herself and when the tables have turned she finds more than she could imagine. A darker retelling of beauty and the beast, wicked mother and a fight for your life. Very engaging, a bit bloody and the beastly girl gets her due. Entertaining and quite the love story, I couldn't put it down.

Loving this series. This time we have a beast who has been imprisoned for fifteen years. So his manners are definitely not the best. But he will do almost anything to end is curse. And the witch he needs may just runaway. She has her own problems she needs help with. Plenty of magic and adventure as the beast learns to care about someone besides himself.
A sorry retelling of Beaty and the Beast, full of all the cliches, with some boring sex scenes thrown in to try to make it interesting and a whiny main character who is just begging to get slapped. Not worth the time, IMO.
Kian and Bryanna’s story is so intense!! It’s crazy how they found each other, and the things they have to go through. Finding her cousin and Logan, and the power she finds in herself. I absolutely love this series.
This is based on Beauty And The Beast. It has Kian Prince of the Fae cursed by his mother to be a beast and Bryanna a witch who is beauty. The learn how to trust and depend on each other plus they find love. I really enjoyed this book.
