This book was so good! The dedication spoke to me! Our story follows Jack a best selling author but also a liar? Jack had a tough childhood and chooses to use storytelling as a coping mechanism in both his books and life. Enter Roxy a journalist who changes his life. A wizard of words is exactly what Jay is as this was perfection!

So out of this world

This is a great story. I couldn't put it down. Jay Michael Night has done it again and made a awesome book. I will make a point to read anything he writes. Jack has a rough life and the things he does makes him so much better and worse at the same time. Though I love jack just the way he is

From the moment I opened the book, the dedication resonated deeply with me. It set the tone for a powerful journey through the life of Jack, a best-selling author whose storytelling prowess becomes both his salvation and his downfall. The narrative flows seamlessly, capturing the essence of Jack and Roxy's relationship while exploring themes of love, trust, and understanding. Jay's ability to balance intimate scenes with meaningful lessons is commendable, making the book both engaging and thought-provoking. This book is a masterful blend of storytelling and insight, offering both entertainment and valuable lessons. It’s a testament to the power of words and the complexities of human nature. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a beautifully written, thought-provoking read.

What can I say about this book, other than it was written in a brilliant and smooth manner. Jack has been through a lot, and Roxy was right by his side just like every couple. However, Roxy's deep understanding of Jack's coping mechanism of lying to protect himself was nice to read since usually people tend to get upset if they find they had been lied to. Not saying that couples should hide or lie to each other, but the understanding of basic self preservation and coping mechanisms, couples can decide how to proceed in their relationships. This book was enjoyable with enough intimate scenes as well as lessons to be taken. Loved the newsletter at the end of the book, nice touch.

Lies, Love, and the Labyrinth of Truth...

Jay Michael Night's Armor of Lies is a razor-sharp tale of duplicity and passion that pits reclusive literary titan Jack Armor against tenacious journalist Roxy. Her hunt for the truth shatters his carefully constructed façade, creating sparks that could ruin them both. The author expertly blends smoldering heat and fast pacing, with each revelation tightening the screws on a tale in which love and betrayal battle in the shadows. This suspenseful romance tests whether sincerity can thrive amidst make-believe. It’s a gripping, emotionally intense tempest of tension. Highly recommended for fans of romantic fiction.

4.25 - This book started strong with the dedication. The dedication. Holy cow. It set the tone for Jack's journey through life. Jack is now a best-selling author which is both his saving grace and perhaps his nemesis. Jay (the books author) effortlessly explores Jack and Roxy's relationship and the entire story is masterfully told and thought provoking. Well worth the read.

Good book about overcoming childhood trauma & using coping mechanisms to get through them. I could feel his pain and the burden of loneliness he had to bare. The author was good at expressing his pain. It seemed fast paced in the beginning and then a slow burn after that. I wanted the main character to make some better choices but I suppose it's what makes it a little more realistic.

While I am in no-way-shape-or-form a fan of slice-of-life or contemporary romance stories, I have to say I was massively impressed with this one. It gave so much to the development of the MMC, and you can see a real relationship develop between the two main characters. It's definitely a very well written story, and well worth the read.
