This is an amazing story with just enough gangstery intrigue, romance, and mystery. I was absorbed the entire time by the vibrant language, fast-moving plot, and rich characters. Nothing is overdone—not the violence or sex—just the right amount to keep me glued to the book. The story ends up in a very satisfying resolution.

Ms. Wakem has done a remarkable job on her first novel which had me snagged from the first page. It is an expertly woven plot, full of enough twists, turns and thrills for even the hardest to please rollercoaster lover! Her protagonist becomes an endearing character that you kibda wish was your second cousin or at least someone in your family that you could have in your pocket for unexpected crises in your life! The story has no lags in dialogue, plot or action! I’m hoping they turn this into a movie, honestly, because I made a mess trying to frantically eat buttered popcorn while forwarding thru my Kindle pages at lightning speed! Well done, Ginger!

What do you get when you combine a coming-of-age protagonist, living a hard-driving double life, cloaked in a multi-generational, mob family saga replete with romance, remorse, and redemption? Ans: a gripping tale and perhaps a call from the Coppola family or Netflix producers for a series option. The author ensured every shred of evidence and foreshadowing was satisfied, every bad guy died, every dirty deed by Ray was justified, and every worthy character survived with a blissful conclusion. I’m looking forward to a potential sequel or flick. As a reader and an Author, I give Two Thumbs Up to Ginger Wakem’s impressive, meticulously written debut novel, Trust No One, Promise Nothing.

That was absolutely a wild ride of a read! The twists and turns and character development were executed excellently. Such a wonderful story and definitely unlike others that I’ve read. It’s very easy to fall in love with some of the characters quick but don’t hold onto those favorites too tightly!

Excellent book, must read!
Possibly the best book we've ever read, kept us engaged all the way through. Fantastic storyline, well developed characters, the story flowed all the way. Well written, no grammatical errors. Great read.

A wonderful book! It sends you on an emotional journey, there is crime, intrigue, love and plenty of twists. Definitely a good read and recommend.
