A brisk, interesting account of the return of Napoleon and the battle of Waterloo -- a battle in which Napoleon's usual tactical brilliance and his troop's efficiency were both absent, or at least, less than that of Wellington and the British troops. I was given this book as a teenager -- it is written for young adults. I've only read it through this year, however, spurred on by my rereading of the Hornblower novels by C.S. Forester, which take place during the Napoleonic wars. I like military history and enjoyed this hour-by-hour account of June 1815.
