Rue Chambers, an up-and-coming journalist, pursues the seemingly impossible task of taking down Bordeaux Behavioral Hospital. After a mysterious car accident leaves her with more questions than answers, Rue is determined to uncover the truth about the corrupt facility… and report it to her followers.

As she pieces together the fragments of several recent crimes with questionable outcomes, she realizes that someone will stop at nothing to keep her silent. With every step closer to the truth, Rue must navigate a web of deceit, betrayal, and danger.

The deeper she goes in her quest to uncover the truth, the higher the stakes. Will Rue expose the secrets that threaten to destroy her and countless others, or will she become a victim of her own investigation?

Excellent Storytelling Skills

This novel is excellent, I absolutely adore their writing style. I was so angry, annoyed, happy and emotional reading this story. I assume book five is coming soon. It certainly left me wanting more!

Ruby!

Our FMC, Rue, I'm trying to decide if I feel sorry for her or not. First, let's talk about all the secrets and sneaky people. EVERYBODY! It was just about everyone in this small town who was just corrupt in some way.

The journalist went to the extreme to get to the bottom of the story. But in the meantime, she runs into road block after roadblock. Just when she thinks she had it all figured out, she doesn't. This was a thrilling read.

Getting to this final book has been an insane ride. Let me first express my gratitude for fiction writing and the ability to SOMETIMES walk away from an incredibly bothersome story knowing that the events that took place were not real. If there is a place like Bordeaux mental faculty being ran by someone like Corrine I am absolutely terrified to be in any proximity of that place. Some terrifying shit went down in this story. I love the thrill of it and the plot twist. I will say that Rue.. girl what the helll were you thinking.

We Ride At Dawn!!

I was ready to follow Rue on her YouTube channel and become a keyboard detective to join her quest to take down Bordeaux Behavioral Hospital but that dang Corrine and Fabien Francois…!! Reading this book was like slowly watching a cookie crumble…talk about crestfallen!! Every little thing and person introduced in this story means something to greater scheme of things. Tanisha Stewart gives you so much story in so few pages, she dives in and gets right to it. I was on the edge of my seat and side eyeing everyone the whole time I read this. I liked how Rue battled with herself regarding being a social media influencer creating content for clout and her journalistic instincts to expose the truth and seek justice for Alana and Taylor. She was a little naïve and cocky at times, but her heart was in the right place. But every time I think about the fact that Corrine and Fabien Francois are walking around free, my pressure spikes and my fists automatically ball up. Tanisha Stewart and Toni Larue’ tag teamed the hell out of this series and I will continue to come back to it until justice is served!

😳

Let me start by saying that this is not my usual genre, but I’m so glad I decided to step outside my comfort zone with this one. The Journalist by Tanisha Stewart completely pulled me in from start to finish, and I can honestly say it might have opened the door to a new favorite genre for me.

The story is a thrilling blend of suspense and psychological drama, filled with twists that kept me guessing the entire time. Stewart’s writing is sharp and gripping, making it impossible to put the book down. Her ability to dive into the minds of her characters and create a hauntingly vivid atmosphere really sets her apart.

What stood out most to me were the raw emotions and the way the main character’s journey felt so real. Without giving away spoilers, the twists in the story were masterfully executed, and each chapter left me wanting more.

I’ll definitely be moving on to the next book in the series—I need to know what happens next! If you’re a fan of suspenseful, thought-provoking reads or just looking to try something new, I highly recommend giving The Journalist a chance. You won’t regret it.

Tanisha Stewart has earned a new fan in me!

I’m just gonna say that this series has been one of the most entertaining series I’ve read to date! I’m not ready for it to be over! I need more please! 😜

So many truths, secrets and lies revealed in this book! More lives are threatened to a life sentence with Bordeaux Behavioral Hospital! Our beloved Rue takes her true crime journalism to the next level! Girl why did you do it?!?!

Is this the end of this asylum and its insanity? Will there be more? This one left my jaw on the floor!

This series is so worth investing your time into!!
Toni Larue’ and Tanisha Stewart do a fantastic job writing these twisted and insane characters! The atmosphere is incredibly sinister. Every person, place and event come together perfectly!

This book had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Rue was doing whatever she could to get Alana and others discharged from Bordeaux Behavioral Hospital, but her work was in vain. After checking herself in (I don't know why she would do that), things got worse for her, but someone was able to get out, and Rue had no clue. The end killed me because now I want to know what happened. I read all the books to the Asylum series, and I'm really hoping another one comes out and let's us know what happened to Rue and that video that Rashad sent to the news station. Great great great series

Great Read

Book 4 of The Asylum Series did not disappoint. I am in awe of how well the book was written, as it featured many characters from previous installments without feeling like character overkill. I’m looking forward to seeing if there will be more in the series to find out what happens to Rae, Jakobi, and the other characters.

This was an amazing continuation in the asylum series! Left me wanting to know what happens next! There HAS to be a part 5 or at least 4.5 of this story! It was so real and detailed! The FMC definitely gave can’t stop won’t stop energy! As always the plot twist, twisted! This author never disappoints!

Bourdeaux! Bourdeaux!

With each installment I’m on the edge of my seat wondering if this will be the end of the infamous Bordeaux and its staff. The characters made risky moves to challenge corruption, some even resorted to stupid actions. Did they succeed? I won’t ruin it. Read it for yourself.

Exciting series...

This might be just a me thing, but I wish they were released more evenly spaced out so that I could really remember everything that happened in the first two books, since they both made heavy references to them. But otherwise, the entire series was thrilling, well written, and definitely makes me want more from both authors.

They could've done such better with the ending although it did leave as a cliff hanger. I haven't heard there's going to be another book released in this series. I will say it was good at getting you to root for some of the stupid things Rue wanted to do.
