Supposedly based on a true event that took place in 1837 in Oswego, New York. The cheese went to President Andrew Jackson and weighed 1400 lbs. Compare with Candace Flemings' A Big Cheese for the White House, which is also supposedly true but which takes place in Cheshire, Massachusetts, in 1801. That cheese went to President Thomas Jefferson and weighed 1235 lbs. Can they both be true?
