This was my first TNTD book and I loved it! I died twice but I eventually made it out alive lol ever since the 90s when I was a child. I always loved the choose your own story books. And seeing a horror version of that, makes it even more perfect. I am highly anticipating reading more books in the Try Not To Die series.

Man, what can I say? TNTD: At Meadow Spire Mall is all that and a bag of chips! It's everything good (and bad) about the 90s wrapped into one gory, heart-pounding thrill ride! This book has all the nostalgia and crumbling possibilities I feel every time I go in the closest mall and see the state of it compared to what I remember of it in its heyday.

I was hooked right from the start by P.W.'s very apt description of high school girl dramatics: a time when someone discovering your secret crush was so not cool and had everyone wiggin' out at how totally lame you were, and you could just die. The sheer level of over-the-top drama at the start of this book was masterful, mondo props to the author!

But hey, it's Valentine's Day - gag me with a spoon - and what better way to spend it than to kick it with your friends at Meadow Spire Mall and celebrate Ant-Valentine's Day? Surely, nothing will go wrong there (tell that to my 10 deaths), and we won't see all of the people who totally embarrassed you about your wack crush the day before!

This was so much fun to read, and I got so invested in the characters and what was going to happen to them. I kept getting stressed trying to figure out how to help them and prevent others from dying, then proceeding to die myself. And the creatures?? Total buzz kills (and horrifyingly gross!)

So, my home skillets, if y'all don't have this one at the top of your list, you're the scrubbiest of the scrubs and I have just one thing to say to you: Whatever, Major Loser (full hand gestures included)!

Another fun TNTD from these guys.
I don't want to say this was better then the original because come on, its the original, but this was so much freaking fun, i don't even know how many times i died lol .

I loved this one, and i loved the regular version as well, but when you get to make the choices, its a thrill that adds a extra layer to the tension you were already feeling.

This was my first time reading one of the Try Not To Die books, and it was lots of fun. Did I die a lot? Yes. Did I make it out alive? Eventually lol 😆 This was filled with lots of 90's nostalgia. The deaths were fun and cool. Since this was my first TNTD book and I never read any choose your own adventure books, I wasn't used to the way this book was, but I got on board pretty quick. I definitely want to check out the rest of the TNTD series.

Another great TNTD! You will want to check this out whether you have already survived the 90s once or not. This is loaded with 90s nostalgia and fun ways to die. This one is a bit longer than the other books in this series. The author uses amazing descriptions and scene building in this one.

I'm absolutely loving the whole TNTD concept, even when I'm becoming annoyed with the fact that I'm dying at every single step. The Meadow Spire Mall story was a bit of a slow burn to start with, I thought the whole teen angst and drama could have been shortened to get to the main events of the book and to the juicy and bloody bits. Once the action got started and rolling, it was a true delicatesse to read and die in the most gruesome ways. I Will defo check out the rest of the TNTD series.

As a kid I loved the Choose Your Own Adventure books. It added a personal element to the story you read. Do I chose the path to the left or to the right? There was always a few twists and turns before the ending became apparent. This book delivered an adult dose of what I have been missing in my horror fiction.

In Meadow Spire Mall, as I suppose with the other TNTD books, you are not coddled with too many choices. One wrong move and it’s over. You are consumed, beheaded or otherwise killed in an untimely manner. You had so much more to accomplish as a teenage girl full of angst.

However our compassionate author sets you back a step so you can make a difference in this world and choose the correct path to enlightenment and life. Onward to make more choices.

This story is full of teen struggles for popularity mixed in with the chance to cross paths some antagonists that H.P. Lovecraft would approve of. A great story along with having only yourself to blame for having to die yet again. Well written and good flow. I can imagine these types of stories are not easy to write. I encourage you to try not to die. I died and died and died yet again.

I’ll be looking at Dethfest next as I can relate better with the metal heads as opposed to the spoiled teens.

Thanks for a great read.

This one follows Quinn and her friends as they head to the local mall in order to cheer her up after being humiliated at school. During their day of terrorising everyone at the mall, a crack in the ground opens, releasing fog and creatures that came from inside the earth. These creatures go on a rampage killing all those still left in the mall, while a snow storm rages outside, freezing the already flooded area, trapping them inside. Now it's up to the reader to help Quinn get her friends to safety.
This one was a beast, almost 800 pages, long chapters and a long way to go if you made the wrong choice. At times it was a little frustrating, but as always, once I finish a choose your own adventure, I always go back and read what would have happened if I'd chosen a different option. Out of the books in this series I've read, this was definitely my favourite and I'd love to read a version where you don't have to choose.

A massive gamebook featuring nuanced characters with a well-developed backstory, and relationships that develop over the course of the book, and a terrifying set of antagonists once the main action kicks in. Overall, the ending is more optimistic than other books in the Try Not to Die series, and reaching that ending is a daunting endeavor. Fittingly, while the ending is more optimistic, it is clear that there was a price to be paid for surviving the horrific ordeal.

This was my first Try Not to Die book, and it was so much fun! When Quinn is humiliated at school, her friend Kirsten drags her to the mall with some other friends to take her mind off things. Then … some wild and horrific stuff happens! I really don’t want to ruin the surprise, but even without the fun of the Try Not to Die aspect, I absolutely loved this story. Looking forward to reading more by P.W. Feutz as well as the TNTD series!

Being this was my third TNTD book, you would think I would be better but nope. I died at every choice I made!! Sadly, in real life I would not have make it out alive. Great book though

This was a fun and gory story. It was very descriptive. I made many wrong choices and had a lot of fun!

I received a digital ARC of this book, and this is my honest and unsolicited review.

Monsters, Mayhem, and The Mall, Oh My… Try Not To Die: At Meadow Spire Mall Written by P.W. Feutz with Mark Tillius as editor. It’s a killer trip to the mall with none other than a horde of teenage girls armed with teen anguish and full on drama. Did I mention monsters?! I’m not talking about the teenage girls, but creepy crawly mutated swamp monsters. As if shopping will ever be the same, the 90’s or even Valentine’s Day. So grab a copy as soon as you can or whatever and prepare to die in the newest release to this totally nostalgic choose your own adventure saga. That is if you dare read one of the two versions available. There is the interactive version or the survival version. Either way you don’t wanna miss out on all the deadly fun in this book.

OMG I Loved this book!!! So fun to choose the next move... except I lost count of how many times I died... :) When I finally got a chance to read my arc copy, I didn't want to put it down! I felt like I was there with the other survivors and went through a range of emotions while reading this book! GREAT characters, great location and GREAT story! I Loved this so much even while dying in my choices... :) I would recommend this book for teens (17-18) and above... Gory but Great! 5 STARS in my book!
