About the author

John Champlin Gardner was a well-known and controversial American novelist and university professor, best known for his novel Grendel, a retelling of the Beowulf myth.

Gardner was born in Batavia, New York. His father was a lay preacher and dairy farmer, and his mother taught English at a local school. Both parents were fond of Shakespeare and often recited literature together. As a child, Gardner attended public school and worked on his father's farm, where, in April of 1945, his younger brother Gilbert was killed in an accident with a cultipacker. Gardner, who was driving the tractor during the fatal accident, carried guilt for his brother's death throughout his life, suffering nightmares and flashbacks. The incident informed much of Gardner's fiction and criticism — most directly in the 1977 short story "Redemption," which included a fictionalized recounting of the accident.

if you watch a romantic movie thats bad, you recommend it to your friends anyway. thats the case of icebraker. no plot, at the page 20 i knew the end of the book and it happened exactly how i pictured it, and no magic in the romantic story. just sex. and yet, i recommended it to my friends.

Nice bok. Romantisk, hur ett förhållande kan se ut om det är bra, även reaktioner från båda parter där man litar på varandra. Fint avslut också!! Känns som denna kärlek är borta i dagens samhälle men fint att läsa om.

Anastassia jest łyżwiarka figurową, która jest zdeterminowana, planuje wszystko, a do tego nie nawidzi związków i hokeistów. Jednak jej partner na lodzie doznaje kontuzji, przez co musi trenować z Nathanem - hokeistą. Niby się nienawidzą, ale tak było tylko przez dosłownie chwilę, tylko się nie lubili. Nathan jest mega słodki, ale bardzo oklepana książka. Mało chemii i romantyzmu, pomimo wielu wyznań miłości itp, sam seks. Chociaż z drugiej strony lubię szczęśliwych ludzi, więc nie było źle. Największy plus za wątek z Aaronem, bo dużo uczy i pokazuje na temat toksycznych relacji. Spoko jako rozrywka, fajny vibe. Szału nie robi dupy nie urywa.
