Chloe: A Christmas Novel

Rate this book
When success is measured in kindness instead of dollars, a career-driven woman finds her world turned upside down.

Chloe Anderson finds herself stranded in the quaint town of Benton Falls just before Christmas. As she's drawn into the warm embrace of small-town life, her perfectly ordered world begins to unravel.

From caroling to moonlit ice skating, each tradition chips away at her walls. And then there's Oliver Hanks, the handsome owner of the struggling local department store, whose kind heart and Christmas spirit are hard to resist.

As Chloe becomes entangled in the lives of Benton Falls' residents, she discovers a community united by love and the true meaning of Christmas. But when her good intentions lead to misunderstanding, Chloe must return to her successful city life, or embrace the love she's found in Benton Falls?

With a little help from a guardian angel in training, Chloe might rediscover the magic of love, community, and the season of giving.

This Christmas Clean & Wholesome Romance is stunning. Rebecca Goldstein must help Choe Anderson discover and embrace the true spirit of giving. Rebecca had been a driven and successful young woman with big dreams and even bigger ambitions before she died. Chloe is a living embodiment of the same personality. The Board of Directors forced Chloe to take much-needed time off weeks before this Christmas.

This tale uses small nudges rather than heroic pushing to achieve its goals. Even so, it takes only tiny distractions to cause a blowup: for example, stomping away in anger or threats to leave. Nevertheless, in general, the story flows smoothly. The end, on the human side, is amusing. And, on the angelic side, it's educational.

Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Happily Ever After. Romantic. Unpredictable. Wonderful characters.
