BEGINNINGS

Taste: The Bachman Bundle is a wonderful way to start immersing oneself in the Bachman World by Ms. Shanna Handel. The stories revolve around the Mafia Bachman family. The three main stories have been previously released and I have read them already, so sharing my reviews.

Vow to the King: A Dark Mafia Romance
THE BEAUTY WITH HER BEAST

The story is a great addition to the Bachman sagas. This story takes place in Italy, where Liam Bachman has decided to find suitable wives for his brothers and cousins—but he has no plans to marry himself. He needs to find alliances to strengthen the family—he has the men, but he needs mafia princesses. Near his home is the Accardi clan with one unmarried female, Emilia.

“Next time keep your runs at the gym, little girl. There are wolves in these woods.”

Liam: Has your family made you aware of our offer?
Emilia: I’ve been raised knowing that I would be married off for my family’s benefit. I just didn’t realize it would be to this family. A family where it’s okay just to accost a girl on the road.

The story will have two people who have no intention of marriage, finding them being forced into a marriage arrangement. The attraction and chemistry between them are noticeable to those around them. Emilia believes if she ruins her chance for marriage, she can move on with her life, but that isn’t the mafia way. Liam has only one choice, to make it right, with her family, and the man who she was promised—before this becomes a war.

“They could not marry. And start a war. Putting every single one of us in danger.” –Sasha

“But I can’t start a war, especially not now that I see the faces of those who would be fighting for me. What have I done?”

Once Rockland and Tess arrive at the Parish, the decision is made, Liam and Emilia will marry, retribution will be issued, and in the Bachman way of life, marriage is forever. Liam and Emilia’s fate has been sealed.

The story has plenty of angst and passion. The chemistry between them pours off the pages. It is always fun to see how the Bachmans handle whatever comes their way. It was fun seeing the private Bachman ceremony. While the story is part of an ongoing saga, it will read well as a stand-alone. There is power exchange, with discipline, explicit scenes, and unseen, but revealed violence (not to our main characters.)

Cash is King: Billionaire Romance (Beauties and Billionaires)
JUST KNOW—SHE’S MINE

The Bachman legacy continues with a few new twists. Anyone who has read Ms. Shanna Handel’s stories revolving around the Bachman clan will understand. For those who haven’t, enough of the Bachman standards are laid out in the story so that you won’t feel left out. While the Bachman family has many businesses, some employees are not Bachman; it is a standard that people strive to achieve. One of the most coveted is to become a Bachman Beauty, but that is by marriage to a Bachman man.

The story’s plot will have Ella at a cemetery in New York visiting the grave of her previous boyfriend. She is still haunted by that night and is still under police investigation as a potential suspect. Her world is out of control, her job has been terminated, and she stumbles upon a man in the cemetery. Cash Bachman is a haunted man, preparing for the future. Seeing Ella in the cemetery has the dominant side of him coming out quickly, taking charge, and ordering her around. Making her accept a ride with his driver back to her apartment.

“I don’t take no for an answer.”

The story has the perfect amount of mystery, suspense, suspense, danger, dominance, and submission. Of course, Cash will learn everything he can about the elusive Ella Anne Hart, and when she goes to Preston to terminate him as council, she will be given a new lease on freedom—or is it a prison? It comes with a contract for three weeks, working for Cash Bachman as a secretary, but he holds all the control—how she dresses, grooms, and his discipline. Cash expects total honesty and isn’t afraid to push Ella’s buttons.

Cash: Were you scared? When you read the contract?
Ella: Yes. I was terrified when I read the contract. I still am. I mean, what woman in her right mind signs something like that from someone like you?
Cash: Maybe one that’s looking for a little order in her life of chaos.
Ella: I don’t know. I mean, maybe under everything I was intrigued—or curious—or, I don’t know. It was insane. I knew I should have signed. But maybe—there was a part of me that was intrigued.

“This is madness, having her work for me, having her sign my contract. She’s just a stranger I met in a graveyard. Yet something about her pulls me toward her like the pole of a magnet.”

The story is an erotic mix of dominance and submission, and Cash pushes Ella to the edge and then is there to catch her when she topples over. She has a streak of defiance to see if he means what he says, and he does. I love how she has a way of remembering, word for word, what she reads, and he makes her quote it to him—there is never a misunderstanding; it is all straightforward, so no excuses. Cash doesn’t push her about the night of Aaron’s death, but he knows she needs counseling to help her. When the three weeks are up on their contract, threats, and messages send Ella running to Cash for help, and he does just that. Taking her to his home in the Village and keeping her safe from the outside world—but what about from him?

The story has the good, the bad, and the ugly of people, and it all comes out. We learn that, deep down, Cash is a caring man, one who would do anything for his family—and those who are important to him. The dance of dominance and submission between Cash and Ella is one that they both crave and desire. While Ella isn’t a Beauty, she is accepted by the Beauties, and her self-esteem shines because of it. With this addition, changes are coming to the Bachman ways, to the Village, and best of all, to Ella and Cash.

Cash: God, I love you. Being back here—it makes me know I was right all along.
Ella: What do you mean?
Cash: In the graveyard that night. The first moment I saw you, I just knew. I knew I wanted you. I knew there was something about you I’d never be able to forget.
Ella: I thought you just needed a little control in your life…
Cash: That too. But my need for control doesn’t explain the fact that I could never stop thinking about you. Not for a single second.
Ella: Well, if that won’t make a girl come—I don’t know what will.

Beauties and Billionaires will continue with Preston and a girl he met when he was a teenager staying with his father at Cedar Creek. Now he is on his way there; his father has died, but what became of Jules Verduce, the preacher’s daughter? The girl he has never forgotten about.
Bronson: A Mafia Billionaire Romance (Bachman Brotherhood)
BRONSON’S ENACTING THE HIERARCHY

The third story in the Mafia Billionaire Romance series will continue after the death of Brett Bachman. Tess isn’t handling the death well; she won’t accept the help from her Village family, she is spiraling out of control, and Bronson needs Rockland to help Tess—discipline her so that she will snap back.

The story is emotional because several chapters cover the death of Brett, the funeral, and then each year, for three years, they hold memorial services, and for Tess, it is living it all over again. But Tess isn’t doing well; she has lost weight, neglected work, and refuses to participate in activities with the other Beauties. Then she will go on expensive spending sprees. She is definitely out of control and needs to be reined in.

“My voice crying, no. My mind crying, yes. Healing the wounds within me.”

Rockland left the Village after Brett and Tess married and, with the blessings of Bronson, started the Parish on a private Greek island. He has only returned for the funeral of his blood brother, Brett, and then for the memorial services each year. What he hears and sees regarding Tess has him concerned, and while he calls Tess princess, he knows she is suffering, missing Brett, missing his control and discipline—and now, Rockland will need to deal with her.

“I loved him. And I love you. And I’ve sworn to care for you in his absence. Whatever it takes.”

“Someone needs to teach that little girl a lesson in respect.”

“Don’t allow your grief to become misplaced anger.”

The plot will have Rockland holding Tess accountable for her actions and disciplining her. She is angry and willing to take it out on him, but he knows that she needs control beyond grief.

“That’s where you’re wrong. My jurisdiction covers much more ground than being your escort and letting you take your anger out on me. There’s a line. And you’ve crossed it.”

The relationship between Rockland and Tess takes a turn; not only will he hold her accountable, and discipline her as she needs it, but he will also love her. When he needs to leave and return to the Parish, their relationship is entirely different than when he arrived for the memorial service. He will leave her a letter—but she refuses to read it, she can’t accept goodbye. Will Tess be willing to risk everything to be with Rockland? But does he want her?

“She wants a man who’ll make her feel safe from herself. I am that man.”

I love that these stories flow well together, are well written, and read as a stand-alone. The men are dominant, the women are feisty, but the love is deep with just the right amount of give and take. Rockland is a powerful businessman, not afraid to do what needs to be done, and while he can be firm and harsh, he has a loving, caring side. Tess may have been born on the wrong side of the tracks, but she is a whiz with numbers and is critical to the Bachman family. Together, this couple will be a formable powerhouse.

A simply wonderful compilation of stories that I thoroughly enjoyed
Vow To The King

A simply wonderful read, great characters and plot I loved every moment
This was a quite different read to one of the Bachman Brothers and their relationships and I will impress on you the fact that this story is full of twists and turns and lots of past hurts that have left both individuals with a number of hurts they have carried deep inside for a long time.
Liam Bachman is the head of his small brotherhood and has just started to look for women for his brothers to bring into their fold which is a process that is very carefully undertaken and which he is extremely determined to get right.
Imagine his surprise when one of the first names on the list is from the broken rundown estate across the water, her family is known to him and he is not particularly happy about the cruelty the brothers and father are renowned for. However, when he sees Emilia as she answers the questions he puts before her about marriage to one of his brothers she speaks openly about the fact she knows she is simply being sold off to fund her brothers and father who are broke.
When he notices the bruises on her arms that have obviously been given to her by one of her brother’s he decides that he is going to keep her at their estate, safe until her father turned up to see if he was willing to pay the dowery amount requested. She had other ideas and sneaked back home unfortunately angering her father that showed his wrath in the usual manner, leaving her with a bruised cheek where he hit her.
Liam’s obvious concern for her had been a surprise and even though she had met all of his brothers she was not able to get him out of her mind, she knew he visited the woman across the lake to have his needs met and this had hurt her.
When her father suddenly decided that he was now going to suddenly marry her off to John Romano a man that was old enough to be her grandfather she knew she had to get out and one of her brothers “Mattia” had left her door open so she could escape, fortunately Liam had helped her taking her to the Parish, which was a small private island in Greece.
As Liam and Emilia spend more time together it is obvious that there is a chemistry there but she has decided that she is not going to be married off and become someone’s responsibility, she has lived like a captive in her father house and since the day her mother died. It had been nothing more than a prison, there was no love, no laughter and her brothers especially the eldest were nasty and frightening barely controlling their tempers around her.
Liam had known that him removing her from her brother and fathers’ clutches would cause problems, however he had also upset the Romano family as well and he knew that this was going to cause financial hardship and this was also something he had been discussing with the head of the Bachman’s Rockland and his wife Tess who were visiting the island.
I guarantee that you will find yourself riveted with this book, there is so much happening and you cannot help but hope that Liam and Emilia find a solution to their problems.
I do not want to spoil the plot so will say no more about the three of them, I assure you that you will enjoy every single moment of this book.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Cash Is King

A simply wonderful read, great characters and plot I loved every moment
Cash Bachman is a man with a reputation and he is at the graveyard he sees a young woman at a gravestone and insists that she allow his driver to take her home and then as he finds a little out about her, he decides to offer her a job at his office.
Ella cannot believe that her life changed so dramatically, accused of killing her boyfriend a very trouble artist who had hidden his moods and threatening behaviour well, even her oldest friend it seemed had thought him wonderful and a great artist.
Cash is carrying a heavy burden with his oldest brother being unwell and him having a young daughter who he has been helping take care of, it comes as a surprise when Janey expresses her pleasure at seeing her teacher after she had to leave the school, she had been teaching at to prevent tongues wagging and bad press.
When she started working as Cash’s secretary, she had to sign a non-disclosure agreement but she also agreed to allow him to discipline her if he saw fit in those first three weeks. Ella had never known a man like Cash and found some of his discipline highly erotic, also his personality she found very attractive and soon realised her feelings for her employer were growing.
Living under Cash’s roof after the threats became more insistent accusing her of being a “Murderer” and then the break in at her apartment had left her very shaken and being in the safety of the Bachman environment made her feel a lot safer, she also enjoyed the relationship with “The Bachman Beauties” as they were known.
This is a truly wonderful read and there is a wealth of emotions the couple have to deal with bearing in mind they are responsible for Janey and she is extremely bright and aware of her fathers’ illness. The threats to Ella are also a worry and the subsequent attempted kidnapping is the final strew for Cash and he realises that he has to man up and tell Ella how he truly feels.
This is another truly wonderful book by Shanna Handel, I have loved every one of the Bachman books they are always so well written and the characters are simply amazing.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

As they step into Daughtry’s together and look at various gifts and she tries on a sexy garment he chooses for her the appreciation in his tone is so sexy it makes you want to melt.
Then the following sexy interlude that Charlie and her Beast share in the changing rooms is simply panty melting, after all these years he always remembers she is a woman that enjoys looking like a queen and he treats her like one.

I love each and every one of these stories and the reader who finds these now is in for an amazing journey with a very talented author.
Vow to the King : I liked the Bachman series and this has all the elements to be a great spin-off to it. All the characters are well done. Emilia has had a few hard knocks in her short life. She wants a different future but life is not about wants it is about needs. Liam knows this but needs to move on. I liked both of them and their chemistry. There are plenty of different elements in this well written story, some dark. This is a hot, sexy and enjoyable book.
Cash is King : I loved Ella from page one. She is sweet, and hard working. Cash is a typical Bachman, a hot dominant protective man. They spark and are good for each other. There are plenty of hot spicy sexy scenes between them where Cash pushes Ella and she loves it. There are also plenty of other elements that make this story a very interesting page-turner. Another Bachman story. Hot and well done. Hopefully there is plenty more in this series.
Bronson : A Mafia billionare romance does not start to describe this brillant story. Hot does not describe this story. It's so much more. This wonderful author has created a village within a city, filled with real people and alive scenes. I loved everything about this amazing story. Please, please write lots more to this series. It's wow. I wish that there were more than 5 stars because I would give this book 10 stars.
Charley and the Beast : This is a lovely little addition. It was nice to know that the heat between these real characters has not abated.
I loved all of these stories when I first read them and it was nice to re-read them. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am leaving an honest review. This is an enjoyable interlude into the Bachman world.

This bundle is simply a superb introduction to the Bachman Mafia family. Like any extended family, there is a family tree and this bundle includes three separate “first” books in sub-series that deal with a particular “branch” of their Brotherhood. My particular favorite is “Bronson”. Although it is the third book in this bundle it is, in reality, the very first of the Bachman books and really sets the table for what is to come. I recommend you read it first. Bronson is the epitome of a Bronson man, strong, dominant, romantic…., a man you can admire, respect and love. Paige is also everything you could hope for in a Bachman Beauty (she is the one who coined the phrase). All of the Bronson peculiarities, traditions and secret celebrations are also detailed. This is such a 5 Star book that it really deserves even more *****’s. The other two books in the bundle, Vow to the King and Cash is King, are both full 5 Star reads on their own and are so hot they set the pages afire. You can read my separate full reviews of these books on this site. All in all this bundle gives you three great books, and a sexy Holiday Bonus, that really show you why Ms. Handel is considered the Queen of the Dark Mafia genre and her books are collectively the Kings of the court! Outstanding! 5 Stars times three plus the Bonus.

A lovely little taste of the wonders of the Bachman world! The Charlie and the Beast holiday bonus is just a scene, but it is hot!

Vow to the King 5*
Emilia is a mafia princess. She knows that she must marry to better her family's fortunes. But she doesn't want to. While out running, she meets Liam. He is the head of the Bachman enterprise in Italy. He is looking for wives for his brothers. When he meets Emilia, he has to fight his attraction towards her. That proves to be a problem. There is a HEA for Emilia and Liam, but the winding road that we travel to get to the HEA is engrossing.

Cash is King 5*
Cash offers Ella a job after she is fired from her position as a nursery school teacher. Cash wants to help her, but he wants her as well. He has Ella sign a contract that she will submit to his discipline. Their relationship takes off after that. I enjoyed the give-and-take between Cash and Ella, and I enjoyed the story.

Bronson 5*
When Bronson meets Paige, he is determined that she will be his. He loves that she is sweet yet feisty. Paige has lived a neglected life, and Bronson wants to give her everything she hasn't had but wanted. It is a sweet story about the two of them, and I enjoyed it.

I have read Shanna's series since the beginning. While all the series are in the Bachman world, they are all a bit different. They could be read in order or as standalone and you would still enjoy them (although since they are in the same world, there are reoccurring characters.). A starter set like this is an excellent way to see where you would like to begin - to be fair, give them all a try, just because you may not care for one doesn't mean you won't love another.

Although I have read them previously as individual books I did receive an ARC of this book and freely offer this review.
