Mazsola was originally a cute pig puppet tv series in Hungary, but made into a book it is similarly outstanding! The characters and stories are heart-warming and still serious, filled with morality and love, the best kind of stories to read your kids in the evening! The relationship of Mazsola and Manócska reminds me of foster parents, but still how much love is in there! I could feel deep wisdom in these stories, even though the settings can sometimes be mundane. The backgrounds are situations from the time before tv, smartphones and internet, which is a great value to know even for today's kids and their parents.
