Dragons Love Curves #2

Tease Me: Ein Kurviges Mädchen und Drachen Liebesroman (Drachen lieben Kurven 2)

Rate this book

This is my second by this author and I’m really enjoying her “voice”. This is a fun and light hearted story, even while this couple have to battle against an entity of darkness. While it’s a complete insta-everything, especially on the hero’s part, it’s so much fun watching him try to win the girl. As for the heroine, watching her grow into herself and understanding that she has control of her own destiny was wonderful. Add in the fact that the hero must release his own control in order to allow her to do so and you’ve got a great romance. The journey for them to each get to that place is the fun part filled with plenty of steam, lots of humor and some exceptional secondary characters. I’m loving this series!

This is stupid....... Sooo F’ing stupid!

WTH!
Ok, this stupid idiot Fleur wants a shifter mate,( Dear lord is this chick thick and i sure as heck don’t mean her thighs) but for some stupid reason only God and this writer understand, she’s insisting on going to a wolf mating ritual to find a wolf mate when she already has a sexy dragon shifter throwing himself at her....
Again WTH?!?!?!?!?
And your gonna write a “curvy girl” have that stupid itch OWN IT and make us proud to be reading about her story ...... Don’t make her a stupid itch who’s telling a DRAGON, A. D R A G O N, A Freakin Dragon 🐉 don’t pick me up you’ll hurt yourself ?
Seriously ?
This guy can probably lift a car w/out breaking a sweat 💦 and Fleur is probably barely a size 12 at the most..... puh lease....
She’s attracted to Steele like she NEVER has been before( dang, I should have dropped this book at the sample) but for reasons I can’t begin to fathom wants to save herself for a stranger ...
Fleur who seems clueless and witless is desperate to go to this stupid ceremony but sadly hasn’t B.B. clued in on what goes on when/if shifter find his/her true mate...... why ? I haven’t a clue just like the h and honestly I don’t think the idiot wants one...
I’m sure their are dung beetles more self aware than she....
She makes Steele and co. leave the party when everyone finds out they’re not really strippers and then Steele gets “killed”trying. Save her dumb behind and he’s goes to this weird and useless thing where the First dragon and his witch mate argue and then send him back.....
Supposedly the h saves him w/some sorta special dragon breath, something that “be see as amazing or special or something “ but instead the moronic h acts like it’s an insult ,like she bad breath or something and everyone else just walks away like it’s no big deal...
Seriously?!!?!?!!?
This moron just saved him when he was already dead just by breathing green ?air in to him and yet it’s no big deal?
Seriously , WHAT. THE . HECK?
Then when Steele flows her inside and tells her she’s his mate, she acts like it’s nothing and doesn’t want this derail her plans fir her unknown future and tells him to leave she’s still going to the wolf “mating ritual”.....
Ok, let me get this straight, your unreasonably attracted to this Dragon shifter you just met ,he died trying to save YOUR LIFE, you bring him back using some magical green dragon breath and he comes back telling you are his mate and all you can think is I must resist him soo I can find a wolf to mate tomorrow?
Again but WTH?!?!?!
How does this make sense ?
She lacks the self awareness of a turnip ,because even a born ,just dug up out of the ground ,true blue vegetable would know something special was going on here and stop and think....
Right ?
But No....
Not our little flower 🌸, she has a plan.... a destiny ! And even if said plan/destiny is starting her in the face in the form of a sexy dragon shifter she won’t get a clue or be detoured....

What. A . Dumb . Freakin. Mess......
What a clueless girl who is a giant insult to BBW’s everywhere...
This chick doesn’t need to lose weight, she needs to gain a bag of clues and the common sense to use them....
Never coming back here again, grateful this was K.U.

That was a lot of fun. Steele and Fleur’s journey gave us a lot of new information about some of the behind-the-scenes string-pulling that’s going on. But, I feel like for every new clue we got, three more questions popped up. I loved Steele. He seemed to be one of those big, cuddly, cinnamon roll alphas I love reading the most. Fleur frustrated me a bit. Her adamant refusal to see what was right in front of her made me want to tear my hair out. However, once she stopped fighting it, I really enjoyed seeing these two together. Now I want to know even more about what’s really going on.

So much better than book 1! I adored Fleur, flower nymph + something more,Steele is a hottie young green dragon and together they were super sexy and cute! Good addition to book one in story, wyvern dragons recurring characters, paranormal romance, unknown bad black dragon and witch = decent new world building/story! I hope we get more info/answers on Fleur and her fathers genealogy in the next books!

I found it interesting that the alphas from Aidy's Wolf series are being included in this one, big ups.

Overall it was a fun read. Although it's short, it got the point across. My only real complaint is the lack of actual bonding and friendship outside of the bedroom between the MCs. The story just seemed a little rushed, but I'm not sure how I would fill it out without just adding adjective filler and lore.

Honestly this was like a mild spicy novella with dragons and supernatural vibes. The audiobook narrators did a good job and I look forward to more plot and deeper romance in the next Curveball Dragon book.

Cringey writing
I get that it's fated mates but this was way too insta-love. The writing was so cringe inducing. The plot was interesting enough, I guess but the romance was underdeveloped. There was no real connection aside from instant attraction and the mating bond. It was a fast read but that was the only good thing. Her contemporary books are better.

After reading Chase me, I needed absolutely to read Sass Me.
And I was so right.
The author is doing marvels with her shifters world.
To the dragons and the demon dragons fighting them, here are werewolves and their mating ceremony.
Like with Jakob and Ciara, Steele and Fleur are a must in the hero and heroine category.
Steele is so hot and cute too, ready to do anything to please Fleur, even letting her go to a werewolf mating party, well he didn’t say he will stay hidden.
He is pure alpha skin, always in protecting mode and easily lost in his love-chemistry for her.
Fleur is a great surprise, she is too a very strong and feisty woman, full of sparks and fun with scars from her youth. And even if she fight her attraction to Steele like Ciara for Jakob, she is much more open to the mating thing and when every rope shows her where is her « destiny », she accepts to embrace it fully.
I adored their internal dialogues and crazy banters, they are pure joy to see evolve, even if the action is set in a very short time.
Plus this story bring back the protagonists of the previous installment, it adds more fun as for the werewolves different packs.
The plot processes a little giving us more visions of what will come soon.
To sum up, an other must read in this awesome series.

My only complaint is it is part of the kindle world so unavailable for non amazon.com customer.
I was lucky to have been provided of an ARC edition, so I am very happy to give here my true and honest review.

Loved this short story . Not just the hot sex , which is definitely Hot ! Following this strong and sexy males emotional upheaval and insecurities over discovering true love was wonderful . Who doesn’t love the perfect alpha willing to do anything to win his woman ? And win her he must . Every alpha deserves a strong and passionate woman to fight by his side , and Steele found his in Fleur . A must read if you love a HEA with a good story to back it up .

I have truly enjoyed reading this story by Aidy Award. I don't read to many books that includes shifters, but I am glad that I have read this one. I love dragon shifters and am really hooked on this series. Tease Me was full of action, adventure and hot steamy romance. Hot sexy dudes wanting curvy girls really makes this a sexy story. I love the creative writing Aidy brings to the story with the characters that are fun. Can't wait to read the next book to see what happens.

Shifter romance continues plot

MY RATING
5 stars--WOW
4 stars--would read again
3 stars--was good
2 stars--didn't enjoy
1 star--didn't finish

Should I read books before this one: probably
Cliffhanger: not for them; the black dragon arc continues

SUMMARY
Steele and Dax are extra security at a wolf shifter event; they're dressed as strippers. Steele isn't turned on by all these sexy women until a goddess carrying a tray of drinks comes in. She's wearing a sparkling tree necklace. He can tell she's not a wolf or human. He flirts, calls her his flower, she thinks it's part of the service she hired for this party. “I don’t belong to any agency, I don’t need a job, and I’m not a stripper. My name is Steele. I am a dragon.”

Fleur had no idea what her destiny was, only that she had one. Her mother had told her so her entire life. Told her to prepare for it, save herself for it, while never even alluding to what she should prepare for. It made her feel stuck. Her mother was currently spending the summer as a red windflower at the burial site of Fleur’s father. Again. Fleur decides to have fun tonight. Her necklace tingles, saying yes. She and Steele start kissing, rounding the bases too fast. There was no way a dragon she’d only met tonight was that destiny. Besides, tomorrow night is the wolf mating night she'd been invited to attend; she's hoping to find a wolf mate so she'll be a real part of the Troika family. She says We can't do this, Steele picks her up to carry her to the bedroom instead of having sex in the kitchen. She's very uncomfortable, afraid she'll break him, makes him put her down. The she-wolves find out the men are security, kick them out.

The guys change clothes outside, put their soul shard necklaces back on. Steele's is blazing bright. It shocks him into shifting, filling him with power. Demon dragons attack. Steele is determined to keep Fleur safe. The demon dragons try to get his shard. The women come out, 3 shift to help fight. The demon dragons get Steele's necklace, he is instantly weak and human. The demon dragon runs to the first, the trees fight him. Fleur's necklace is shining bright as she directs the trees. She gets attacked, Steele finds one last bit of strength. His chest gets ripped protecting her. The wolves get the demon, Fleur gets his necklace and it glows in her hands. He knows she's his mate. “I'm sorry, little flower. For leaving you when we’ve only come together.” He expected tears from her, but he got narrowed eyes glaring down at him instead. “Oh no you don’t.”

EVALUATION
Sadly, character development falls by the wayside to make room for plot and sex. I wanted to learn more about Fleur and flower nymphs. What is her parents' story, her childhood?? How did she hook up with the wolves? How does she not know what she is when her mother can turn into a flower at will? Steele has no distinct personality from Jakob. He's not even distinctly European; even British speak differently than Americans.

It also feels like there's another series involving these wolves.

Yes, I'll keep reading because Ky and Match intrigue me (hoping they're unique), and I want to know the deal with the black dragon.

RECOMMENDATION
Adults who liked book 1

FAVORITE QUOTES
He scooted away from pincher-lady, who must be a damn crab-shifter.

“I’ll do everything I can, every day to be worthy of you.” “You shut that sexy dragon mouth. You don’t have to work for my love. I give it unconditionally to you.”

POSSIBLE TRIGGERS (SPOILERS)
Sex: multiple scenes
Language: 62 f***, 23 Lord's name in vain, 23 s***
Violence: kidnapping, battles with injuries

I liked this story! It was a quick, sexy, read with a fated-mates/insta-love pairing between a dragon shifter and his magical mate.

It starts off kinda cringy - and I was doubting myself for choosing to listen to it throughout chapter one - but there's nothing like an external threat, a battle and near-death experience immediately after to change a gal's mind!

I assumed the story would be all about the mated-pair coming together and accepting their bond - and it was - but it also had a deeper plot around the dragon species and an enemy who is seemingly hell-bent on destruction... It was interesting enough to make me want to read the others in the series about the other dragons! I need more pieces of this puzzle and to know how the external threat plays out to conclusion.

The audiobook:
The audiobook production of this was patchy. It was dual narration and had annoying inconsistencies with accents.

For example, chapter one was the male narrator - American accent for all characters.
Second chapter was the female narrator - American accent. However, she gave the male character a (really freaking bad) accent that was labelled as "European" but sounded more like a bad attempt at English... It is revealed that the dragons come from Czechia, so use the correct accent! Further more, each chapter the female narrated, the accent given to the mmc changed! Sometimes it was American, sometimes it was "ambiguous," and, on occasion, it went back to the bad attempt at English whilst the male narrator stayed consistent with his plain ol' American portrayal all the way through. *Sigh.* I'd recommend grabbing this on ebook over the audiobook...

So far I'm really like this author's writing. It's so fun, full of fun banter, unique, enthralling and I'm really looking forward to more of her books. But....

This book just hit me wrong from the get go. In the first scene, the H is pretending to be a stripper at a "pre-mating party" held at the h's house. Similar to a bachelorette party. There's a handful of mated women there, and they're the ones who are excessively groping and trying to cop a feel on the 'strippers'. They wanted to smell like strippers to make their possessive mates more aggressive in bed.....gross. Then, those same mated females flip when they realize their mates brought in pretend strippers for them. They know their mates are super possessive, why are they surprised? Were they hoping to go further than stripping? Since they expect their mates to be ok with this, would they be ok with female strippers for their mates? Just, that entire scene really ticked me off. So much wrong with that. Come to find out those women are from a previous series about wolf shifters.....note to shelf, never read that series. Super gross.

Also, the first half of the book the h is "convinced" her mate could ONLY be a wolf shifter. Eyeroll. She was incredibly rude to the H just because she thought she should only be with a wolf shifter. I recalled disliked this h. I finished the book only because I was curious for the developments for the rest of the series.

I went into this one hoping it would be better than the first one. In some ways it was, but overall... No. At least with this book, you got the idea that the FMC was at least familiar with shifters and that part of the world, which explains why she is OK with everything. That is why this got 3 stars rather than the 2 that I want to give.

I really hate coming across a published book that has "you're" instead of the proper "your", which is what I saw at about 42%. I understand online submissions with no proofreaders or editors may have this, but professionally published works should be better than this.

One of the things I had issues with in the first book was that it took place over about 5 days, and suddenly all in love and ready for HEA. This one took that and whittled it down to about 2 days. Seriously. I can't get invested in the characters over 2 days. At this point, they are strangers to me, so while I don't want anything to happen to them, I still feel toward them as strangers.

Why was Fleur so adamant to be mated to a wolf? She had this big belief in her destiny, but nothing in it specifically said "Wolf" so why didn't she realize: Hey, it could be dragon! ?

I gave this series 2 books (and I even finished both of them), but I just can't continue. I don't want to keep going, I'm just not getting anything from them. I would not recommend these to others, either.

Surprising and good! This was my first Aidy Award book, and as a curvy girl with beautiful curvy daughters, I went into this with the expectation that this would be accepted and I wasn't disappointed! I've read other BBW books, some where the heroine needed to accept herself, some where others around her treated her like donkey dung. I found this book really refreshing because everyone just accepted, and appreciated a more Rubenesque figure on women.
My rant against fat-shaming aside, I enjoyed this book because it surprised me a few times. Without spoilers, which I won't do, it did something that normally isn't done in an HEA romance. It also had quite a bit of heat to it! I'm looking forward to reading more from Aidy at this point. I'm also intrigued to learn more about her world mythos for the books. It seems like it could be intricate, but again this being my first book, I don't know too much about it yet.

I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book so I could give an honest review.

As a new Aidy Award reader, I initially struggled to keep up with numerous characters and terminology. Once I connected with the rhythm of the author, the story was very engaging. I was hoping for an explanation of the shard necklace (piece of the soul) hanging around the neck in order to transform to a dragon. I recall that he told Fleur he would tell her about it, but I don’t recall it ever being explained. I enjoyed the story but I would have liked some more backstory on the types of characters in the book. Maybe it was in there and I missed it somehow. Or, deeper explanations come in each character’s own book.... I am going to keep reading because I love the antics of the First Dragon and his White Witch. They are entertaining.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

As much as I super enjoy being immersed in this dragon-mate world, I just don’t find the price worth the pages of this book (granted, they’re only a few bucks, but still). 152 pages?! That’s a novella. The same premise occurred in this sequel and the attraction (and even a cheeky kiss scene) happened within 9% of this book. Everything is just too quick and short. Still adored our beautiful couple but I would have liked more of a plot to keep them occupied so the tension grows. That’s just my opinion though.

From more startling action, spicy sex scenes, and undying love, Tease Me is a fun read. And the only other book I’d consider reading in this series is the one with 2 males (book 6 or something) 😯🤭

Great characters, plenty of tension, compelling mystery...

It just keeps getting better! The world- building is fantastic and so imaginative! The complex, ongoing mystery of the women's backgrounds is gripping; Fleur really has a chance to shine and gain confidence. Steele is adorable as an alpha with heart, and the passion between them is hot enough that Fleur can take her little side trip in stride 😉. The bit of humor in the beginning is welcome, as are the surprisingly fun personalities the author gives to First Dragon and his White Witch. And this author REALLY knows how to write epic battle scenes; the climax does not disappoint! The only small quibble is the need for more attention to editing in an otherwise STELLAR book.

This is a fast paced Romance. Fleur and Steele are two wonderful Characters that have a powerful bond from the beginning except Fleur does not want to believe it at first. It takes some sexy convincing from the dragon Shifter to get his Mate on board. I loved the story and power that this book game the characters right from the beginning. There was some humor with Fleur and her magic that will make you smile. Both Fleur and Steele are both Alphas and bump heads on some things but work together in the End. We learn a lot about the past of the white witch and first dragon and I loved every second of it. If you love some sexy dragons and their sassy mates you will love this book and the series. Can't wait to read the next book.

Book 2 of 11

It’s a long series but each book so far has been an easy read. With book 2 the number of characters continues to increase. Some haven’t been given names yet, and some have multiple names; I can foresee it getting convoluted if the author isn’t careful.

Each book is about one couple but advances the through plot of the series - the big conflict. The details and history of the conflict is being revealed to the main characters at the same time as the reader.

This book centers around the beta green dragon and his mate. It introduces another group of supernaturals into this world. They may or may not have a role in the final conclusion. It did feel like some of the characters of this book, including the MFC, may have been introduced in a previous series. (I suspect the MFC was a minor character in that series.)

😁

So far, so good. I've been in a reading slump, and these books in this series have done an amazing job of pulling me out of it.
There's a good plot, hot guys, real women, and bad guys that are just the right amount of scary. The author also actually makes you feel the characters fall in love, not just tells you they're in love (which happens waaay too often).
This book specifically was a little short on pages, but the story itself didn't feel short. It was nice to see the Troika wolves, and makes me excited to go read that series. Fleur and Steele are the perfect amounts of fun and sexy.

Pushing Daisies

Steel and Fleur have more in common than they realize. Steel, a green dragon, along with his friend Dax, a red dragon, are asked to keep the ladies safe during a "bachelorette" party. Fleur is hosting the party and doesn't realize she's met her match. Her one. A crazy story of good and bad dragons, wolves, fighting against evil, and all during a matchmaking fest Fleur has an unusual green thumb as well as some new talents she's slowly learning she has, and the best one is when the love flows the daisies grow and bloom. Definitely a fairytale story that has a happy ending. No cheating or cliffhanger. Enjoy 🤓
