Damon prides himself on being a Dom Daddy. While always ensuring his play partners are comfortable with his directions in a scene, he knows what he wants and how to get it. Lately, though, he's been disappointed with the selection of men available to him. He longs to find someone who is dedicated to the lifestyle.
Micah has recently stepped into the BDSM scene after abandoning his parent's religious beliefs that men should only be with women. Now free, Micah knows exactly what he wants, a hard spanking and a way to shut off the noise. However, finding someone who can satisfy his body's desires has, so far, been futile.
After thoughtful planning, Damon sets out to prove he is everything Micah has been searching for. Someone with a firm hand who can teach, and a Daddy who believes Micah's true desire will be met through the experience of Little Play.
Little One is an exploration of powerplay through the relationship of a Dominant and his Submissive, and how such a dynamic can create a safe space to allow for vulnerability, honesty, and healing. Little One is a story of love, self-discovery, and learning to reconnect with one's inner child.
Little One... a truly amazing book that delves into the world of BDSM. Damon (a Dom) is a man with so much knowledge on this and how to partake in it to the benefit of himself, but mostly to the benefit of his Sub...Micah (Michelangelo his Little) Micah himself just walks into the club, gets what he went their for and walks out, which concerns Damon, not what he's doing but why? Micah signs a contract to be Damon's Little (Sub) on a temporary/trial basis, im sure with the spankings and sexual encounters being what he found most important to him, but was it? Chapters 12 & 13 had me holding my breath, both upsetting but amazing...I won't spoil those parts for new readers. BDSM mentorship of sorts and its adult benefits, Little...and it's adult benefits, love with a whole lot of caring. I can't recommend this book enough!!!!!
HOT HOT HOT!!!! Explore a world that delves I to the depths of BDSM, a quick lesson in etiquette and a master lesson in love and the power it can hold.
Micah and Damon meeting is like the universe aligning. These characters find each other when they both need it most and explore a world that brings them closer together.
As Micah is introduced to the world properly, his needs are met in a way that he never knew possible, while Damon gains control of a willing submissive that gives him the boost he's been patiently waiting for.
A must read, wonderfully written story that takes you on a naughty little adventure.
I am not sure how to start to start this review...there are no words to describe how good this book is!!! And the word "good" is so inadequate. Let's see if I can find the words.
We are introduced to Damon , a Daddy Dom, who is not actively looking for a submissive but can't take his eyes off Micah, a boy that he can see needs to be taken care of. This is a book of self-discovery, of trusting even when it is hard, of what happens when you find that part of yourself that you didn't know was there and finding that one person who will be there when you need someone but gives you the space you need.
This book is heart warming, full of spice and the BDSM was perfect!! This book leaves you wanting more. The only negative was....this book was too short. I was not ready to leave this world .
A brat who doesn’t know he is a brat ? Added to that he is submissive and needs a daddy but, still, he doesn’t know? Yeah, that’s Micah!
That book was just A.MA.ZING. Seen Micah opening and discovering himself has been heartwarming 💖 I love how bratty he is, and how Damon takes his time to take care of him, love him and protect him.
I love how the author took the side how someone who knows nothing about BDSM and take our hand and just explain the whole thing. We explore it with Micah and it’s beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful. This read was an emotional but well-rounded dive into the ideal DD/Little dynamic. As someone with limited knowledge, I think Little One is a great starting point. The writing itself was nothing spectacular, but the emotional impact was executed to perfection. *chefs mf-ing kiss*🤌💋
I was in awe at the depth of Micah’s character and how the author translated big feelings into body language and mannerisms. the topic of mental health and self destruction was handled with great care and compassion; rare but much appreciated. I think most readers will connect with Micah in one way or another.
Damon’s innate ability to read Micah was shown clearly on the page. His character was the walking personification of safety, love and care. I know written men are far superior to the ones gracing the earth, but Damon only solidified this notion. *patiently waiting for a man to prove me otherwise, don’t be shy*🙏🏻
As the book came to an end, I struggled to let go of the characters. The ending felt a bit rushed. There was a lot more emphasis on the bdsm nature of the relationship than the raw connection between the two men. I would have loved to see them grow closer outside of kink culture. Since it was only a short novella, I can’t complain too much. I’ll never understand how I got so attached to this story in just under 200 pages.💗
I absolutely loved this book. Though it’s only 194 pages, Little One packs an incredible emotional and educational punch. Unlike many other stories that explore BDSM or DD/L dynamics, this one approached the subject with care, authenticity, and depth. As a mental health therapist who specializes in kink and alternative lifestyles, I was so impressed by how truthful and respectful this story felt. It’s fiction, yes—but it carries a real understanding of psychology, trust, and connection. Beautifully written, honest, and deeply moving—Little One is a rare gem that lingers long after the final page.
I really enjoyed this D/s book. I wasn't sure, as a lot of them that I've read are just not as well written as this was. So much knowledge about their world was shown through the character of Damon. I loved the way Micah was all prickly at first, and he eventually found peace. 3.75⭐️
I thought this book would be fun, spicy sex. It was riveting! I'm a heterosexual female and found myself with strong feelings of both jealousy and relating. Worth the read. Take care.
Little One grabs ahold and inserts you directly into a world of curious desire and passionate insight. This novel covers what is usually considered a taboo topic thoughtfully and provoking, keeping you wanting more. The sex is delicious, the scenarios fantastical, and the characters, Damon and Micah, are a match made in heaven.
Damon, a dom in the BDSM world, meets Micah, a potential sub, at a local BDSM club. Damon is attractive, wealthy, and strong in both the physical and character sense. Micah, ten years younger than Damon, has grown up being made to feel ashamed of his sexuality and has suffered varying degrees of abuse because of his sexuality. As a result, Micah isn't very sure of himself.
However, Micah signs a contract to be Damon's sub, and in doing so, Damon assists Micah with his issues. During this time, Damon admits to the love he has for Micah, and Micah falls in love with Damon. Their contact ends when they profess their love for each other and end up marrying.
This was well written, although I found it a bit on an informational read. I would have enjoyed it more, been more invested in this love story if there had been a bit more written about the build-up to the spice to come
I felt that I was reading a bit of a 'how to' of the BDSM world, rather than it being a part of the lives of the characters.
I do look forward to reading another book by this author.
It was so refreshing to read a BDSM book with a soft Dom. That doesn’t mean Damon isn’t strict and dish out punishment, but it is very much a story where Micah’s needs come before Damon’s. Where the subs pleasure outweighed the Dom’s.
For anyone that might not understand the BDSM world and the need for it, or Daddy Kink, this is the best place to start. It taught me as a reader while teaching Micah about the world.
So different to Rachel’s first two books, but still filled with heart, love and the right amount of smut.
Gosh what to say unfortunately this was not it for me. A lot and I mean a lot of telling & slight showing I definitely did not feel any connection between the love interests it was all telling. I honestly felt like this book/story was more of a guide on how to & what to expect. Very knowledgeable but i wanted to see these characters connect & fall for one another Instead of playing roles & working on ourselves which is fine but maybe they could have connected outside of the role play.
It pretty much was a story about facts and the bdsm world.
The spice unfortunately again was all telling no real connection besides playing a role Wasn’t intense nor spicy spice it was ok.
My own opinion/it’s ok to disagree The whole dom daddy/little was definitely not attractive and very cringe for me personally. I’ve read a lot of mm book this just felt like copy & paste from google no real story hear just very informative.
This is a quick read but has a good story line that will grab you and pull you in, Damen is a daddy Dom who has had his eyes on a man in his BDSM club for a while. Micah is new to the scene and is just trying to find what he is looking for, trying to find what he desires that he has had to suppress due to his family's religious background. When Damen finally approaches Micah they have a connection but Micah doesn't think what he is offering is what he needs or wants. This book is truly about acceptance from yourself and others. It's steamy but has so much more to the story. Very Enjoyable from start to finish
this was sweet. a little cliché, but i enjoyed it regardless. this was actually super detailed in terms of BDSM and kinks and stuff like that, the author definitely did her research and she did it well!
I liked this a lot. super short and sweet, sexy and really well researched.
The premise was promising: dude new to the BDSM scene is noticed by experienced guy and pulled into Daddy/little dynamics as a guided exploration of what's possible. I'm here for that kind of mentor-becomes-lover greyness and considering how intimacy comes in many colors.
But this gets in its own way at every possible opportunity. Whether it's clunky writing, weird stereotypes mashed up against snippets of real gay kink awareness, or absolutely wading-shallow characters stumbling through an off-the-rack plot, this became just painful to read. I was so ready for the end, which is deeply unfortunate.
This hot, beautiful story was very well written and gives a great insight into a world not many know about. It had me addicted from the start...so much so that I read it in one sitting. And like her other books, I felt very connected to the main characters, feeling a little lost once it was over.
I highly recommend this book and most definitely author!! All Rachel's books are well worth the time to read. Congratulations Rachel on yet another wonderful book!
This is a erotic/romantic and spicy read, two people with big age gap trying to fulfill their desire that dig into the world of BDSM, the spiciness from the story is so palpable and on-point. Chemistry between main character is so alluring and emotionally addicting which I enjoyed. Kudos to the writer Rachel O'Rourke the way you executed the story is truly a superb novel.
I purchased a signed copy of this as a blind date with an Aussie Author for a close gay friend of mine. He sung its praises so I borrowed it to read. As a cis woman I have to say the story was enlightening. The teaching of the lifestyle was well thought out and showed how it can sometimes be uncomfortable to self reflect on who we are at our core. Well written and thought out. Highly recommended.
2.5🌟I truly did love how the BDSM world was explained to our mmc and how he was not just thrust into a world he knew very little about. I did enjoy the story and romance but it's not the best book I've ever read but it was a fun spicy time. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a short, spicy mm romance
This… was a very special book. It’s so clear that the author has a thorough understanding of the DDLB/Daddy Dom kink, and Micah’s journey was so eye-opening and relatable. Damon is one of the best representations of a Daddy Dom I’ve come across. I read this in a day and I lost count of how many times I cried. I’d give this 6-stars if I could. 🩷
