Dr. McClister’s work is scholarly and insightful while remaining highly readable to those who do not know Hebrew or Greek. He identifies major themes that run throughout the book and illuminate the aim of the sermon. It is well worth the time to use this commentary to aid your understanding of the rich book of Hebrews.

McClister was one of my favorite professors and I’m grateful for his diligent and thorough work on Hebrews. It has been my favorite (and often the most helpful) of the commentaries I’ve read/referenced while teaching through Hebrews.
