The start to the Surrender To Love serries don’t start it if you don’t have to finish it because you will be mad at yourself 😊. Selena is sweet but has so much on her shoulders taking care of everyone but herself, her mother left with a new husband leaving her siblings behind to be raised by her their teenage older sister and so she gives her one night at a club where she meets the most amazing older man who gave her more than she could imagine but she has no time for anything. Elijah sexy as all get out older Dom CEO of his company doesn’t really trust anyone heads to the exclusive club, and he meets the most special sub there wanting to give her everything. His patience with her is to be praised especially trying to get information out of her but eventually he does however, she isn’t use to people helping her but will she accept it from him, will her mother trying back into the picture especially that he has money, will he accept her siblings, and where are the two of them headed maybe a little normalcy for her, a little happiness for them?

Workplace romance/ BDSM/ age gap/ virgin FMC/ voyeurism/ miscommunication/ pregnancy/ HEA

Trigger warning: cheating(not MCs)/ neglectful parenting

Spicy read between a closed off older DOM and an inexperienced younger woman delving into BDSM. I can appreciate a miscommunication trope if it’s done well and this one was just ok. The MMC knew the FMC was hiding something from him yet when she tried to tell him about what it was, he cuts her off and ends it. He completely steamrolled her yet she forgave him so easily. Like, girl stand up.

Also her younger siblings were supposed to be a huge plot point yet there aren’t any scenes with them and the main characters in the book. Aside from the FMC occasionally mentioning them, I would have forgotten them all together. I mean I guess in the end the MMC talks about reading them a bedtime story but that’s it. I wish they were fully fledged characters.

better than book 2, actually

I read book 2 first, and while I liked it I’d get it progressed slower than I’d have expected. Book 1 definitely didn’t have this problem and we get very quick insight into how Elijah and Selena tick. They’ve both been hurt badly by people who were supposed to love them and they’ve both got trust issues.

Elijah’s expectations were a bit unfair considering he was the one who didn’t want to lose his heart again. I also felt like he missed a huge opportunity to explain to SELENA why he overreacted and while she didn’t forgive him too quickly, she also didn’t ask why he did it. How could she trust him not to hurt her again if she didn’t know why he’d snapped in the first place.

Still, this was an enjoyable read.

Leah Addison does a phenomenal job with the connection between Selena and Elijah. The Dom/ sub aspect is extremely spicy and the chemistry between them is hot even though she’s innocent. He’s patient, passionate, and kind until her secrets are partially revealed. Selena has so much riding on her that it’s difficult to make ends meet and take care of her responsibilities. Trust and communication is paramount in any relationship and I loved how Elijah stepped up and showed Selena that she’s his love and heart. Their epilogue is sweet and spice filled. I look forward to reading more from this author!.

When Selena goes to Club Surrender with her best friend, she has no idea that it would change her life. She is the sole supporter of her younger siblings after her mother leaves, and she is struggling to make ends meet. When Elijah takes over the company, she works for she becomes his new assistant and her new journey begins. This story is filled with BDSM elements but has a heartfelt feeling as well.

If you like meek FMC’s you will like SWEET SURRENDER. The spice is the focal point of the story and it is okay - not what I would call really creative. The opportunity to endear us to both main characters through the younger children was not taken advantage of, but the kids did seem to get lots of sleep.

The connection and chemistry between these two was instant and believable, I really enjoyed seeing them come together, grow together and fight for their HEA.

Good Steamy Romance!

Great storyline, fantastic characters, fun and steamy romance. I was afraid for a minute that E wasn't going to be able to fix his damage, but he pulled it together. I enjoyed this book and will be following this author from now on.

A True Romance

This book is FULL OF STEAMY scenes and yet I feel there is real love between the main characters. Enjoy!
