Romeo's Fire

Rate this book
Mike Romeo thought he’d left the violence of the streets behind…

Now working as an investigator for his friend, lawyer Ira Rosen, Mike finds himself drawn into the dark underbelly of Los Angeles once again. Ira’s newest client, Coby Keaton, is a homeless young man accused of a brutal murder.

As Mike digs deeper, his investigation leads him to Reverend Tatum Walker, a man trying to bring hope to the the city’s homeless. But a shadow of darkness looms large over L.A.'s streets. Soon, Mike uncovers a deadly plot aimed at Walker—and himself.

With time running out, Mike must face down a network of evil more insidious than he ever imagined—forcing him to confront not only a murderer but also his own demons.

Another un-put-downable thriller by “a master of the cliffhanger, creating scene after scene of mounting suspense and revelation . . . Heart-whamming.” (Publishers Weekly)

Oh Boy Oh Boy!

More fun From James Scott Bell! Romeo always getting in fixes. You wondering how he can escape. Mr. Bell making you laugh during non-action times with his humorous knowledge base about Everything! As Ira his best friend persistently explains the wisdom of God to a skeptical Mike Romeo. And the romance continues. I've now read all nine Romeo books! Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to the next one!

Romeo’s Fire

A good addition to this series. Romeo is not the typical hero but is a thinker. That’s a refreshing change from most of the thrillers out there. Believable story line. Good cast of characters. Recommended.

Great series

James Scott Bell is an excellent storyteller with a few different series ongoing. Mike Romeo is my favorite pick. Much better than a lot of the offerings on Kindle Unlimited

Razor-Sharp, Witty, and Uplifting
It's not often that one of your favorite mystery series will give you a breath of fresh air and a sense of uplifting, but James Scott Bell manages to do all that and more with the Mike Romeo series. Book #9 in the series keeps up the same high level of craftsmanship as the previous entries. Treat yourself to a series that is challenging, cerebral, and edifying - all without bad language - a real treat in today's literary circles!

Riveting

Bell's Romeo series is quite goid, and the dialogue catchy - as in part throwback to old detective movies, though with more class and style. I've not read a bad one yet, and will continue till I do.

Michael Romeo's day just got more exciting. Politics, religion and friendship all combined to create Romeo's Fire. Can he put this fire out?

Typical Mike Romeo, and that's good

If you liked the earlier books, you'll like this one. If you haven't read any of them, start with the first one, Rome's Rules.
