I had to read a lot of this for an English class when I was 21 years old. I became fascinated with how politically charged and preachy this text was and I read the whole thing as a study. I think it's perfectly disgusting how education in the U.S. has become so corrupted. So that the goal is not to educate but to indoctrinate.
Much of the book is dishonest and misleading. I will say however that most of it is very interesting to read.
