Julie is a young girl living with her mother in a dilapidated part of town. Julie's life has not been the best lately since her mom brought her boyfriend to live with them; a man that Julie is not fond of for a variety of reasons. Walking home one day, she encounters Winston, an old man that is enthralling as much as he is mysterious. They form a bond that will change both of their lives in ways that cannot be imagined. A twisted thriller via a dark, psychological character study. Innovative in the way the story pulls you along and draws you into the world of this young girl as she becomes enveloped in this intriguing mindgame....which is almost Machiavellian at time. Many scenes that will make you uneasy, but you'll be hard pressed to look away. Powell scores a winner with this calculated, tense story.
