Recommended only for those who LOVE profanity, drama, and excessive use of "baby" and kisses between almost every other sentence in every conversation.

Best scene.
That soft ‘please’ of hers would make him agree to almost anything. Yeah, he stepped to her and pulled her from the seat and standing in the rain, in a crowded parking lot, on a hot and muggy as shit summer day, he danced with her. Then the music actually penetrated and he heard the song. John Michael Montgomery’s I Love the Way You Love Me. He held her tighter, laid his cheek on the top of her head, and danced with his Krista held tight to his chest in the hot and muggy rain and he loved every F-in’ second of it. When the song ended, he placed his arm around her back and dipped her slowly, moving his body over hers to block the rain and leaned down and kissed her tenderly. When he brought her back up, and they were both standing, he took a step back and just looked at her smiling face. He lost his heart all over again. She smiled up at him bigger and brighter than he’d ever seen. It was the most beautiful sight, and he’d given that to her just by dancing with her in the parking lot in the pouring rain. He stroked her face, his thumb lightly brushing her cheek. He felt her head tilt into his hand and he knew in that moment that he’d give his life to keep her safe. Forever.

Probably a 3.5. In a super cheesy way I really liked the book. It was so fast though I had whiplash. And I really like Instalove/lust. But he was there from the first minute and she never questioned it. It just made me say huh? But I liked it and liked that there was no real relationship drama. I mean one woman weirdly gets in her face. But it was a strange interaction and did not cause insecurity/anxiety. If you need a really sweet and quick read, it is free on Kindle Unlimited.

Will definitely read more by this author! There were some minor new author type issues

In general the story and hero gave me a good feeling and I'm excited to see how Ms. Bass evolves in her writing, I can definitely see her books becoming must-reads for me.

I'm a big fan of sexy cowboy books, so I was happy to get my hands on, His Safe Keeping. Kade is a rough and tough alpha cowboy who won my heart from the start of this book. I laughed so hard at his language and his habit of dropping the *F* word in many situations. Krista is a sweet as can be and I really felt for everything that she had been through. I loved that even though she was timid, she stood firm in what she wanted and didn't let herself get
pushed around by her protective alpha or anyone else. This book had so many great things about it. It was a love story, a suspense, and it was full of humor. I have to say that I am a huge fan of books with HEA's and this book had a great one. If you are looking for a good cowboy romance with a little
bit of everything to hold your attention, then give His Safe Keeping a try.

A total alpha male cop, who's main vocabulary is the "F" word, rescues a woman he sees throwing up next to her car on the highway. He's instantly smitten, rescues the woman and immediately becomes her protector. The cop, although over the top sometimes, was loveable in his own way determined to help this girl out. The girl had a very tragic background including watching her mother be murdered and then sexually assaulted herself. Add to that her having a rare blood disorder that required frequent chemo sessions and this girl was one messed up person.

The story had a lot of miscommunication, angsty moments. Too many. The girl would run out the door and then the hero had to go after her. It got a little tiresome. But our alpha male finally broke through (effin' all the way) and there was a good ending.

This is the first time I've read anything by this author but certainly won't be the last. I thoroughly enjoyed Kade & Krista's story. He's a balance between hot alpha male, cowboy and cop who loves as intensely as he does everything in his life. Krista has had some extreme life altering events over the years that would crush most people. Yet she remains sweet & sassy with an optimism that boggles the mind. Put these two characters together and its win/win. You'll laugh, rant/rave and shake your head at their interactions but in the end they balance each other perfectly.
I am glad this book was brought to my attention for I have found another author I will keep an eye out for future releases. I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did. Happy reading.

His Safe Keeping by Tina Bass

Krista & Kade

KADE CAN CUFF ME ANYTIME!!!!

Well hello sexy story! I found that this book had everything I needed. It tore at my heartstrings, it made me belly laugh, ugly cry, and at a few points I swear my panties burst into flames. Iit's actually fairly suspenseful also. See I told you it has everything.

Krista is just all kinds of wonderful. She's so delightful, and amusing, and if you can believe this she's very sick but manages to plaster a huge grin on her face almost everyday. Krista has seen some hard times and not just with her illness but with a past that haunts her everyday and every night. On the outside she seems fine and like life could not be better, but on the inside she harbors much pain and loss. When she meets Kade things seem to do a 180 for her... at least in the romance department.

Kade, well let's just say he may have some anger issues. He has only two weeks left on the police force and then he's retiring and becoming a full-time rancher. Meeting Krista on the side of the road that one day really seem to throw a monkey wrench into his carefully planned out life. I have to say he seemed a little over protective where she was concerned, but I guess that's just what you get when you fall in love with someone. Kade is all alpha and sexy as all hell, but will he be what Krista needs him to be or will he lose her because of his ridiculous temper?

The supporting character cast is excellent. There is a villain in this story and his name is Damon Price. He's a rapist and a killer and eventually he's coming back to get Krista. That part of the story kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The pacing is superior, the dialogue flows with effectiveness and the writing was superb. Its 215 Kindle version pages long and for this reader was just right.

ARC provided by Beau Coup Publishing for an honest review... thanks guys!!!

This is book one in the Safe Series. When I read the description I was intrigued and thought there was a promise of something new to a storyline. I made note of all the high ratings and had hopes for a great read. In all honesty, I don't feel like I found a solid entertaining read. Yes, the storyline was unique but just fell short of development. It felt rushed and unbelievable. There was a nice mixture of drama, romance, suspense, etc..It was the details and realism that made those themes fall short. Every story needs characters that are attachable and relatable. Roles that bring words to life. For me, I was back and forth. I felt I recognized the personality that was trying to be displayed in each role. I am not sure the dialogue and behaviors did an accurate portrayal. For example, strong alpha came across as mean and controlling. It made it difficult to establish a relationship with them. Kind of a wish wash feeling..difficult finding a consistency with moods and feelings. I did enjoy the humor and every day activities included. The ending for the first book in a series was good..No major cliffhanger. My suggestion..Not the worse book I have read...but also not the best. Keep in mind the reviews and that this is a new author. AndreaAH

I read the second book in this series first and liked it. This one started off good. Kade was all posessive "He couldn’t stand the thought of any of that happening to his Krista. His? Damn straight, she was his! She might not know it yet, but she would in time. He would make damn sure she did." When I read that I was like yes! That's how I love a man in books! Then I kept reading. Kade was trying to be protective and I dig that, but he was always yelling to get his point across which was annoying. Then Kade was an a-hole, and was like "the first step to fix things was to get Krista to talk about her past"....no the first step is stop being a douche. Krista was always doing stupid stuff like not locking her doors. I get wanting independence, but be smart. She seems immature. I wanted to smack her a few times. Always yammering on, and instead of being cute its juvenile. But all the men loved her. I was extremely annoyed by Kade and Krista.

His Safe Keeping, is a good read. Kade is a state trooper who meets Krista on a day that has been very tough for him. Krista is having a bad too. She has had treatment for a her rare blood disorder. Kade is an overbearing alpha. After meeting Krista he has an instant connection with her. He wants to protect her but also make her his.

Krista is struggling with her past and her rare blood disorder. When she was a kid she had some bad things happen to her and she never really dealt with those issues. She's a strong independent person and that sometimes clashes with Kade's desire to protect her.

They have this insta love that was written very well. and seemed to flow smoothly. At some points I forget that they hadn't meet the far before. It's not all just a romance story, there is also some suspense. There's a escaped rapist turned serial killer on the loss.

A copy was received for a review.

I honestly wasn't as a big of fan as I hoped I would be of this. I think it was primarily because it took me about three quarters of the way into the book to really grasp both Krista and Kade's personalities.

Trust me, I'm all about the "HE MAN IN CHARGE" type of guys, and I really did like that kind of guy in romance books. They always try and do the best for their women and are just so yummy you can't help but love them.

Kade, well, I couldn't really get that with him. He made me more mad with how he handled Krista in the first place and I had a hard time letting it go. Once they really got comfortable together and I could see they really were perfect for one another, it helped quite a bit.

Overall, it was a cute story. Not one of my favorites, but still glad I gave it a shot.

DNF @ 35%.

Ok, this story had a terrible case of the instalove. The H (a cop) meets the h in beginning and takes her back to her place bc she was sick on the side of the road. He kisses her forehead before he leaves and calls her baby. Um, you just freaking met!! The H wants to take care of the h, who acts more like a naive child than an adult. She likes to keep her doors unlocked and prance around the woods with her headphones on. She was terribly immature. The H acts more like her father and the h acts more like a little girl who needs coddling.

Damsel in distress stories are always my guilty pleasure. Who doesn't want a strong alpha male protecting them? But this story was the worst case of INTA-love. Like he literally saw her on the side of the road and acted as if his sole purpose was to protect her. Which again, I normally like to read but there was no build-up whatsoever and they barely even had a full conversation before he was going all crazy stalker on her.

This was okay. It felt overly long and drawn out. Very repetitive. The characters would think something in their head and then turn around and say it out loud. The next chapter, we'd have nearly the same thought and then conversation. The hero sometimes came off as mean and controlling instead of alpha and the heroine was TSTL in many situations.

Krista's carelessness for her her own personal safety drove me nuts. Add the many misunderstandings. Thankfully, Kade/Irish's over the top alpha behavior balanced her out.

A very Kristen Ashley-like alpha male, but I dunno… incongruous to the heroine? And they were hot and cold… insta-love… heroine made TSTL moves… and definitely needs an editor.

Krista + Kade

“Her Irish”

I loved the insta love aspect of the book but OMG Krista was agitating af. It got to a point where Krista was acting before thinking, and by that point I just was not caring for her. The main thing that pushed me over the edge was not even her complete disregard for her own safety and dismissal of Kade's feelings, but when she "overheard" Kade's phone call regarding a filly assumed it was about her and took off. She was very immature.

Kade was the saving grace of his book for me. He was not overprotective compared to Krista's lack of self-care. I felt as though he was perfect. I saw not one flaw. He took on her health and her past in a beautiful way and assured her that he was different by actions and not words.

Too Much Cheese

**2.5**
I like over the top instalove stories, but His Safe Keeping was a little too heavy on the cheese.
I also didn't care for Krista's character. She came juvenile and overly dramatic. Plus, for someone with her trauma and who received 0 therapy/treatment of any kind, she was all over Kade. Her past and her present were very contradicting.
This definitely isn't the worst, but is probably only good for a once or twice read.

To start with Krista seemed sweet and insecure. But as time went on there has been no character development and Krista just seems young and somewhat childish. I don't like it. the story is sweet but I'm not certain if I like the book or not.

Krista Avery has a very rare blood type and she needs treatments to try and help her. With each treatment her symptons get worse. She is returning home to Mt. Eve, Va. and she has to pull over the dizziness is very bad. She is resting her head when Kade, a police officer comes along and sees her. He thinks at first she might be drunk but then he realizes that she is ill. He gets her to respond to him and just in time she jumps from the car and starts to throw up. Kade McKaden can't get her out of his mind. He helps her get home and has her car towed for her. He is so drawn to her and he can't understand it. He goes back later in the day to check on her because he wants to make sure she is okay. When he gets there no one answer so he tries her door to find it is unlocked and he walks in. She just got out of her shower and has a robe on. He thinks she is beautiful. He wants to get her to eat but she says she can only sleep after her treatments. He leaves but he has so many questions he wants to ask her. Krista is dealing with her own set of demons. She was raped when she witnessed her mothers murder at fourteen. The rapist has always promised to come back for her. Kade knows there is something special about Krista so he starts to see her. Before long he can't every think of letting her go. This story is great and it will keep you interested. However, it contains a lot of profanity especially the F word and some very sexual scenes. If that offends you this book probably is not for you

His Safe Keeping by Tina Bass
5 out of 5 Stars
This book begins with Kade finding Krista on the side of the road, and the sparks begin to fly. This is what I would call a whirlwind romance, and it was a really enjoyable ride. I loved watching the two of them fall in love. These characters were together from the beginning and working together to handle anything that was thrown their way. I found myself being drawn to the secondary characters in this very well-written book that had a wonderful flow from beginning to end. Krista was attacked as a teenager, and now her attacker is back. Kade is overprotective to a smothering degree that she secretly enjoys because he makes her feel safer than she ever has before. They come together to defeat her past and make a place together in their future. They have cute little nicknames for each other and I really felt like we were just getting to glimpse into their life story that would continue on after the book ended. It was truly a fun read with a little bit of heaviness thrown in. I truly didn’t want it to end and wish there were more stories about their friends.

His Safe keeping.
Krista Avery moved to Mt. Eve to go through experiential treatment for a rare blood disorder she had since birth and never had a normal life until she has to pull over on the side of the road and try let her sickness pass from her latest treatment.
Lawson “ Kade” Mc Kaden was a state trooper and just about to retire and live his life on the ranch. He was supposed to be doing paperwork but had to fill in and take a prisoner to a prison .This prisoner bragged at everything he had done which pissed kade off and he couldn’t wait to get rid of him. So on his way back he noticed a car pulled off the side of the road and he decides he better check on it. That is when he sees these beautiful women who is dire need of help something draws him to her, but will he still stay when he finds out her health issues and her past?
I was given this book for my honest review and let me tell you that I loved it. It had it all going on and most of all the love and chemistry between them was so unbelievable and she didn’t let him get away with anything either she stood up for herself. This book is going to be one of my favs and I will read it again.

This is my first book by Tina Bass & I look forward to reading more by her!

Life can change in an instant and Krista knows that better than most people. She has moved across the country and is starting over, determined to live her life her own way. Kade is wrapping up his law enforcement career, comfortable being alone and looking forward to a quiet life on his ranch. A chance encounter, a moment on weakness on the side of the road will forever change the way Kade and Krista view Destiny.

I really liked Kade and Krista, even though they were borderline sickeningly sweet sometimes. I liked how Kade was a bit rough around the edges, a foul mouthed cop wanting to protect his woman. I laughed at the way Krista would do her own thing, refusing to stay in the bubble he tried to put her in.

Not your typical romance

I loved this book. I became engrossed in this story pretty fast. I wanted to know about the blood disorder, how her mom died/her loss of innocence and then to have it all come full circle was heartbreaking, yet at the same time when that chapter of her life was over, I was glad how it was resolved. It was a perfect resolution.
The story of Romeo and Juliet was so sweet and that's all she ever wanted for herself. Again coming full circle. The author did a great job with all of this. She tied it all together so neatly but with so much drama mixed in that I couldn't put the book down til I got to the end. I'll be looking for more from her.

As a note, if the use of the "F" word offends you, this is not the book for you, as it is used ALOT!!!!! It doesn't bother me and I found its use/overuse to be quite funny at times.

His Safe Keeping by Tina Bass was given to me to review and I loved it. This is the first book I have read from this author and it was good it drew you in right from the start. You meet Krista who is so sick you can’t help but wonder what is wrong with her, but she has decided that she is strong and a survivor and doesn’t need anyone. Kade is a strong protective male that is taken with Krista from the get go and wants to know more about her. I loved how they interact with one another, how you find out about Krista’s past and how Kade helps her overcome it. This book is well written and gives lots of descriptions which give you a sense of belonging in the story. This is a 5 star book and can’t wait to read more from this author.

After finding Krista Avery sick on the side of the road, there's only thing
that State Trooper, Kade McKaden wants and that's Krista, safe and in his
bed.

Krista moved to small town Mt Eve to pursue experimental treatment for a
rare blood disorder and to escape her terrifying past.

An escaped rapist and murderer is stalking Krista. She was his first and he
won't let anyone stand in the way of making him her last.

This is Tina's first book. Kade McKaden is the epitome Alpha male. This book does not disappoint. Suspenseful, and filled with Drama

It's well written and keeps the reader interested with suspense and intrigue. I can't wait to read the next book!!

*I was gifted this book for an honest review.

What an enjoyable read! This is the first in a new series from Tina Bass. It is a quick read. The characters both had their flaws. Kade was bossy, arrogant, and hateful at times, however, once you see from his perspective, you can understand why. Krista is an amusing character because of her philosophy on life.

While there are things that could have been explained in more detail, the emotions that Tina brought up in regards to Krista's rape, showed me that this is a talented author, who will only get better.

I give this entertaining read 4 stars!
