Ivy is a biker bitch who doesn’t take life seriously. When the members of the Dust Bowl Devils get a little too rough, she laughs and brushes it off. When her competition with the new girl in town turns dirty, she finds the whole thing amusing. And when the president of the club warns her to be careful, that their rivals are out for trouble and blood, she nods and smiles and has another drink.
Until Theo. The mysterious biker from the east coast chapter is big, badass, and handsome as all hell. Their undeniable attraction is no laughing matter; she refuses to be pushed away, blissfully unaware of the dangerous mission that puts him and anyone near him in jeopardy.
He’s there to hunt down two new members of the Devils’ rival club. They’re the sort of men that make the Devils look downright wholesome. Ivy thought she knew a world of sex, drugs, and violence, but when she falls into their hands, she quickly learns that she’s only dabbled.
Will Theo and the Devils come for her, or will they back down in the face of a club that’s taken a far more dark and ruthless turn?
Rivalry, friendship, love violence passion - this novel also contains explicit language and graphic adult content. It is suitable for mature readers only.
Well, I felt like I was reading a book about a motorcycle club and not a sappy, I am a bad guy because I had a scrappy childhood. Good job Britten Thorne. Really enjoyed the book.
I was weary when I got this book but as I started to read I couldn't put it down. Theo kept pushing Ivy away afraid of hurting her but she pushed back to get the one she loved. It had all you would expect from an MC book bikes, guns, drugs, explosions but it also had an amazing story to it. I would have paid more then I did if I had to buy it again.
This story drew me in. Told from a different point of view than I'm used to seeing in a biker book. I would have liked to have seen more from Theo, and explored that more.
This was probably 3-3 1/2 stars, but I thought the point of view was original, so I rounded up. I'm interested to see what's in store for the future.
This is the first book I've read from this author & it was a pleasant surprise. I really liked the development of the characters. There were a few spelling errors but nothing major. The story was really well written & I really enjoyed it. Ivy was such a strong woman & I loved her & Theo together ! I'm so glad they got a HEA.
I really liked the storyline of this book. I only had a few problems. With other MC books that I've read, the members each hold a position, president,vp,sergeant st arms, etc. This book only mentioned two. I also think that the book would have been much better if it had been told from both h and h pov,not just one pov
This story shows a much grittier version of the biker world than Joanna Wylde created in her Reaper series. It's not so much a romance as a thriller. There is a love interest but so much horrible stuff happens to the heroine - a biker club hanger-on - that the romance feels secondary.
New Author to me that's is I've a love for Mc books crazy about them even know this is the first time I've read her books gotta say I'll go back for more great read worth 5 star's.........
For a short read it was certainly packed with everything you would expect from a good MC book. If it went any longer it certainly would have ruined it.
