I just finished Perfected by You and I just loved it. Such a sweet and happy conclusion to the series and I couldn't have asked for anything different. Its just beautiful. You have to read this in order to get the full effect of the story and its characters plus you cant read it without the other so you better go out and get them to read! Following the series, Possessed by You is first then Revealed by You is the second while this is the third and final. I dont want to give any spoilers so I will keep this to a minimum and not give any thing away. You just have to read and see.

I just loved this story. It flowed really well. Throughout this whole story it just pulled me in and I just didnt want to let go. There were times where it was predictable but in a good way and then I would be shocked. Love when that happens. Im sad that it is over but can see more from their family in this story that Brett and Evvie will always be around! This was just beautifully done and just amazed how far both Evvie and Brett's character came from the beginning to the end. To me its about a broken man that had to learn that he could be deserving of love but only by the right woman.

Brett is my man. He is hot, sexy, domineering, and broken. Gah, I just love him. Evvie really complimented him well and brought out the good in him. She was his light. She dealt with alot when it came to Brett. His insecurities, his domineering ways, and his darkness. But what he didn't understand until I felt until later on was that she has insecurities too and all she wanted to do was help him. You see, he has always felt like women used him. I will admit, yes they did. It was always different with Evvie though, she didnt want to use him. She just wanted him to heal, no matter what she had to do to help him, she was there for him. Me personally, I was truly grateful for her character because it takes a strong woman to take on a broken man and I commend her for sticking by him. Their chemistry started out as a possession, passion driven but in the end it was revealed to them that they hungered for so much more that it became perfected.

I will forever be indebted to Miss Walker for allowing me to read and become apart of this journey for her. She has grown into such an amazing author. Im excited to see whats to come!

Wow! What a perfect final installment to this trilogy! Beautifully written from Brett's POV! I enjoyed getting into his head and seeing his true feeling being written in his journal for Evvie was simply breath taking. Yes I know we all knew what he felt for her, but getting into his head made it all the more real! I honestly didn't think I could love Brett any deeper then I did before, but I was proven wrong. I am sorry to see this story come to a close but all questions were answered and mysteries solved. I am truly satisfied with the way everything came to a close. Tissue are needed for this book as Brett and Evvie experience more trails and hardships in their relationship. Brett is on the road to healing and dealing with his past with the strong as ever Evvie by his side. As he is working through everything there a few curve balls thrown at this strong couple. I just can't bring myself to get into too much detail here because you just have to read these books. My words will never to this trilogy justice. On top of all of that is the steamy hot sex these two have! Brett, still his dominating ALPHA self and Evvie, the ever willing submissive to her husband have some of the hottest sex on the planet! Bringing pleasure to each other is what they do and how Brett expresses his never ending, deep love for his wife! As I have said before, I need new panties after reading these scene! They just melt them right off of you! This couple has a love that all people should shrive to have. If you take nothing from this trilogy I sincerely hope that you get the idea of what love should be. To love someone so deep and hard that you will and can stand by them in their time of need or just because then I feel like Jo-Anna has done her job here. I, not only, love Evvie and Brett, but the message she is sending through these books has touched my heart and I hope the same for everyone of you who have read or are planning on reading it. This is a series I will recommend to anyone and for a long time to come. I will definitely be paying Evvie and Brett a visit again in the future as well!!

WHAT A WASTE. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK.

Um, did the author forget what had happened in the first two books??

This was such a let down that I. can't. even. I'm going back to my review on Amazon of the first book to warn people not to pick up the first book if they're okay with a REALLY BAD 3rd book.

This was just dominant sex, masochistic sex. Over and over and over. Was the author horny? Also, the writing was completely boring. Example: "I need you my wife." "I need you inside me, my husband." WHAT A CROCK OF AWFUL WRITING when you have to read this crap over and over again.

This is told completely from Brett's POV. And we're reading the same crap over and over again. About how much he NEEDS Evvie and how he needs to be in control and how much he loves her and how he needs intensive therapy and is attempting to seek it. But he's having nightmares and the only way to get over it is to have dominant sex with his wife. The plotline with the mother and Claire seeking money is like GONE. With barely 2 paragraphs of resolution and it was not satisfying at all. Book two was full of action and drama, so where was that?

There is an HEA at the end and not one, but two Epilogues, but really there's three! Good lord.

If you believe my review and don't buy the book, I'll tell you what happens: there's an HEA and three kids but only after a major serious health issue for Evvie that comes out of the blue and is resolved as quickly as it enters in the book, about 75% through. We're told that his mother was shot by Claire, so we never see those two again. Also, in addition to owning all these clubs, and being a photographer, Brett can play the piano! Seriously, it was as boring as I wrote it above.

OMG!!! I loved reading Evvie and Brett's story through Brett's eyes. You find out how much Brett loves Evvie. In the first and second book you see Brett as this possessive, domineering, alpha-male that needs control. He still needs that control, but you see his walls come down and share this control with his wife.

"Satisfaction flew through me at her words. It was a slow process but I was teaching her to tell me what she liked, what she wanted, what she needed. I was good, but I wasn't a mind reader."
Evvie, helps him deal with his dark past and cravings. In his eyes, she is his rock.

"I became addicted to you fast. You were etched in my skin. Carved in my heart. Engrained inside my skull. I couldn't get enough. You were the high that left me needing more. Always needing more."

He doesn't express how much be loves Evvie, but he puts it down on paper for to read later. The love that Evvie and Brett share is all consuming and passionate love.

"Well..for the rest of our lives, I will take of you. I will protect you. I will worship the ground that you walk on. I will give you that and more. I am yours forever. I am your one. Your only. Your always."

I have loved this trilogy and Brett & Evvie.
They are totally in love...captivated with each other but there is still an undercurrent of destruction with Brett and this story takes us through the why's and his journey of healing.
Evvie is central to Brett's healing process but also Dr Matteo who becomes a friend...another intriguing character who I am itching to read about!
The couple go through many ups and downs in this and is very cleverly written....it's in Brett's POV interspersed with his journal entries...this gives us real insight into his depth of feelings for Evvie which helps us the reader to feel comforted when things don't seem to be going to well.
The growth and transformation of Brett was a beautiful thing which allowed him to be strong for Evvie when needed...and boy was it needed...I have to say I was stunned by the turn of events and my heart broke and ugly cries ensued but don't worry...I'm all better now
Please buy this trilogy it is truly brilliant and I devoured every last word.

Perfected by You book #3 of the “Torn Trilogy” by J. M. Walker


As Final books go this was so unexpected. I wasn’t sure what I really expected but what I got was amazing. I’ve never held back my opinion of Brett, let’s face it I absolutely did not like him. He was sadistic, controlling, arrogant and just not likable. Sorry that’s how I felt. I’m sure these words will anger a lot of readers. But hey you can’t expect everyone to have the same opinion. So now here is where I eat crow. After reading Perfected by you I totally softened when it came to Brett. Why you ask? Well maybe it was reading page after page of his journal. Wow it put a whole different light on him. What he couldn’t say in words he wrote on paper. We all knew he was irrevocably in love with Evvie. She was his one, his only, his everything, his obsession. She grounded him. I think between Evvie and Dr. Matteo they were actually starting to help get Brett out of his head. When you take the journey through his journal with him you feel the intense love for this woman. He’s still not perfect but it was a powerful revelation.

If you remember in Revealed by you when Evvie was attacked by Brett’s mother, and in the hospital she was told she was pregnant and had lost the baby. That was a devastating blow to both Brett and Evvie. Took Evvie a while to cope with it but I don’t think she really did. Then we have Claire pregnant and trying to say it was Brett’s baby or it could be Ethan’s only making things worse for Evvie (because she wanted to give Brett a child). A plan put into motion by Brett’s mother to try and get her son’s money. So the ending of Revealed by you was torturous to say the least.

In between the journal writings the story picks up from pretty much where it left off. What I’m about to reveal is a “SPOILER” so don’t read this if you haven’t read the book.
Officer Charles comes to the club needing to speak with Brett, he was asked to be seated and he told Brett he may want to sit down, then proceeds to tell Brett his mother is dead. She was shot and they found her in her apartment. OMG this put Brett back into his head big time. The turmoil and then the elation of the death of his mother. He was glad. He was happy. He became angry and again spouted off at the mouth to Evvie but she wasn’t having it. The emotions running wild through Brett were too much and he actually passed out. He was out for an hour scaring the hell out of Evvie. After he came to it was here the biggest shock in the world was revealed. Evvie did not lose the baby but she was at high risk. Can we say WOW. My heart stopped and I was totally stoked for them. Thinking finally just finally maybe they will find their little piece of paradise. Yeah NO. At seven months into her pregnancy Evvie goes into labor and Brett panics and calls 911. The next thing the Doctor is coming out into the waiting room to give Brett the update. He lets him know he has a baby daughter who is strong and seems to be holding her own. Then, can I say this again THEN he tells Brett devastating news about Evvie. Okay can we say total melt down? Wow after reading this part I was numb, incoherent and I don’t know what else. I’m an emotional reader so those of you who’ve already read this book you know exactly what I’m talking about and you know every scene I totally lost it. God Jo-Anna how could you do this to your readers. Okay I need to stop otherwise I’m apt to give it all up.

But I will say there are a few more surprises up her sleeve involving Claire, Ethan, Brett and Evvie. Honestly you need to read this book. In Fact you need to read the entire trilogy to get the full impact as to what is going on. Okay Ms. Walker you win and yes now I can honestly say I do like Brett. Not saying I love him, not happening Sebastian will always be my first, but you did manage to soften my heart for that I give you 5*.

I received this book from the author for an honest opinion.

WOW! HOLY CRAP! Brett and Evie's story is one that will always stay with me. They are such a passionate and powerful couple who love deep and hard. They are each others one and only. Those two catch phrases that the author came up with are so such amazing. These "tag lines" for this serie are perfect.

So this book begins with Brett and Evie "surviving" after her miscarriage. They are in a tough place but fighting to be together and work through it together. Brett is really in his head alot and seeing a therapist. I would love to see a book about the therapist...hint hint Jo Jo!! I love how Brett, Mr. Alpha Dom, is able to SUBMIT to his wife when he needs it. He truly trusts this woman enought to allow his control to be handed to her.....those power exchanges are so powerful but so important. It shows how Evie is the perfect match for Brett and he is also for her.

Now the couple has alot of major issues to deal with like....
1. His wonderful mother
2. Claire
3. Anna
4. Her families total dislike of him
5. His insecurities
6. His nightmares
7. His secrets
Get the picture???? ALOT OF TROUBLE!!!! But guess what? There is even more that I cant go into because it is the heart of the story. I cried a lot in the book. The giant tears fell down my face when Evie gives up on Brett. I mean NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! She can't just give up. She has to fight for this man and their future.

If you love this series, you need to read it. I can't go into the story because i would ruin this amazing story. Trust me, you love Brett and Evie??? You need to finish their love story.........

First let me say that I love me some Brett & Evvie. This book was written from Brett’s P.O.V. which I loved. It’s not easy for authors to write from a male perspective being a woman but I think J.M. Walker did a good job of it. There is no lapse in the story Perfected by You ends where the last book left off. I would recommend reading the whole series before starting this one although J.M. Walker fills in the gaps it’s still a great series and worth a read. As a reader what is refreshing is that not only do we get Brett’s P.O.V. we get this detailed journal he writes to Evvie outlining his actions and why he is the way he is. Let me tell you this is an emotional roller coaster because one moment you want to hug Brett and the next you want to strangle him. His mother seriously screwed him up and that translates often in his relationship with Evvie. Where we are used to seeing Brett as the Alpha Dog Evvie steps up and stands by her man and sometimes for him. One break out character who is crucial to Brett’s development and breakthrough is Dr. Matteo. He has a story to tell of his own and it is dark. I can’t wait to learn more about his character as well as the rest of Evvie’s family. One thing I will say without giving any of the story away is that J.M. Walker ties up all loose ends the reader. We find out what happens to the mother and yes there is a H.E.A. which is very much so deserved. I don’t want to give too much of the story a way but Brett is essentially at his lowest and it takes faith, love, and perseverance to bring him through. Will Evvie is being the strong one she has her own personal issues that almost break her as well. The title is perfect for the story because they are each other’s one and perfected by each other. Great job J.M.!!!

The third and final installment of Torn series blew me away. If you loved Possessed by You and Revealed by You, prepare yourself for a new favorite in the series, in my opinion this is Walker's best of the series, there is so much emotion packed in one little book. I laughed, I cried, I cursed, I put this book down and walked away at one point I was so upset with it.
I may or may not have cursed the author at one point during the story, but in my defense once you read it you will understand!
This one is told from our beloved Brett's POV and finally we get to know everything that made him who he is.
And Evvie, the woman who changed him, who won the heart he didn't think he had to give, the woman who is his savior, we learn from Brent's POV just how much he loves her, what she has done for him simply by believing in him.
It's hard not to give any spoilers and still write a good review, if you have read the first two books this is a must read for you, if you haven't read them you should. The entire series is amazing but the final installment seriously hands down, blows the first two out of water, and that's saying something considering how good the first were. If I could give this more than 5 stars it would get it, this is the best book I've read in months, and definitely top 3 this year.

Ok FYI this book needs a warning label for those of us who get attached!! I sobbed like a freaking baby!! Literally big tears thinking how could this happen!! Oh I'm not going to tell you you have to read the book but I will tell you this, JM Walker was swinging and hit a home run with this series!! It's an awesome way to end this series! I'm sad but also fulfilled emotionally with this story.

Bret and Evie have come so far, each couple has ups and downs but none like them. Bret's mother is a piece of work who will stop at nothing to break an already broken person. The pieces of Bret's life are finally falling into place, he has Evie by his side and made her his wife. He knows they have been through a lot, and piecing their life back together is no picnic.

Evie sees her husband battle daily with his nightmares and submits to his every request, she opens her heart, body, mind and soul up to him. Needing him just as much as he needs her. There is a twist and force unseen that will send you reeling (keep the Kleenex handy), shock, surprise and awe at how much I love this couple is not eve enough.

This series is a TOTAL MUST READ FROM START TO FINISH, PULL AN ALL-NIGHTER AND READ IT!

Brett's inner demons after the abuse of this mother, Crazy ex's and Evvie's miscarriage what could possibly happen next to this couple?

As hot as the chemistry was between this couple and believe me the sex was off the pages steamy! I loved getting an inside look into Brett's mind with this book, his journal made for awesome reading.

I enjoyed seeing this couple fight for their love. Brett, big macho Brett needs his wife to keep him grounded.. I loved that! As well as Evvie learning all about her desires and sexual needs with Brett's nurturing. They complimented each other...

I went through every emotion during their journey.. Their are parts of this book that broke me, honestly broke me! I bawled like a baby and didn't want to continue... I'm glad I did.. I'm completely satisfied with the ending :) #Win

Wow. Let me just say this was an emotional book for me. I absolutely loved the epic love story continued of Brett and Evvie. In this book they are tested to the limit on how much obstacles they can handle emotionally. Brett is having nightmares but trying to take control the need to basically sexually attack Evvie after waking up. Evvie is still struggling with the loss of their baby. In this last book JM Walker finishes all the loose ends of Bretts mom, Claire, and Stefan. There is definately a time where Brett and Evvie get hit with the worse news which had me sobbing. But i do believe the the author ended this book amazingly. Loved this series.

If I could give this book more starts I would! This whole series was amazing, but this book just blew me away! OMG Brett and Evvie have been through so much to get to their happily ever after. I absolutely couldn't put this book down. I cried so much for these characters, I felt so deeply for everything they were going through. I don't want to say anymore cause one I start I know I won't stop. this author is amazing and I'll definitely be looking for more of her books! This really is a must read series, just make sure to have tissues handy for this last book!

Amazing ending to a wonderful series. I'm kinda sad to see the end, I will miss Brett and Evvie. I think the thing I loved most about the book is being able to finally get into Brett's head. I feel I now understand where he was coming from and why he loved Evvie so much. This wasn't a fairytale, it had some twist and turns and some angst to go with it, but that made the ending even sweeter. Well done J.m. Walker, well done!

What can I say I loved Perfected by You. Wow I loved Alpha Brett. I loved Evvie as well. She never gave up on Brett when times got rough. I cried, laughed and was truly happy how this series ended. I'm telling you that you will not be disappointed in this book. Author J.M. Walker did an fantastic job and I'll read other books from here. Please give this book a chance you will come away with how some truly struggle to get over things that have happened to them in past.

I don't know how JM Walker has done it again, but she has. The love, need want and devotion these two main leads have for each other is honest and makes you want what they've got.

OMG!!

Again JM Walker writes another 5 star book! Evvie and Brett are steaming hot together. I finished this book in two hours because I couldn't put it down. Felt so bad for Brett because of what he went through when he was a child. I was almost in tears towards the end but, thankfully it had a happy ending.

I have to commend JM on the great story. I read this in several hours cuz I just couldn't put it down. The intense emotions throughout this and the whole series is amazing. I have to say I did cry and after reading finishing another boom this morning with an even more intense story, I am emotionally drained by this one.
Looking forward to reading more from this author.

I liked the books, they were a easy read. I thought some of the story line and characters could have been explaned more, but by the end of perfected by you all was explained. I read each book in one and half days only because i was not ready to leave this story and Characters. Brett and Evie are again characters you love and hope that they find happiness.
