She is the creator of the “Fate’s Endeavor” series, which explores the realms of angels and demons and meshes them with themes of life, love and loss. The very first book in this dynamic collection, “If Death Should Love Me”, this was followed by the 2nd installment entitled "Demoness Enchanted".
In addition, C. Desert Rose has authored several short stories—independently released works “A Tragedy: The Short Story of Fox and Tango”, “Crimson on a Black Rose”, "For Love and Enchantment", "Martina's Memories", "Angelic Epiphany", and has contributed 4 short stories to the All Authors Publishing House “Concordant Vibrancy Collection".
A couple more of Ms. Rose's stories can be found in the All Authors Publishing House "Divergent Ink Collection". Book One "Crackles of the Heart" features her short story, "Serendipitous Mirth". Book Two "Pleasure Prints" features her short story, "Fleeting Moments".
Ms. Rose’s novelettes include “Nethanyel’s Lady Lune" which explores folk lore, "From Whence Jasmine Blooms" which, through fanciful fiction, dives into the elements that create a fulfilling life. As well as, "Hairy Situations" a paranormal comedy that will keep you enthralled.

With a blurb such as that and a book cover that said little to nothing about the contents of the story—except perhaps for the M&Ms reference—I simply had to pick up this book. Out of intrigue, if not for any other reason.
The fact is that this would not be a book which I would normally be attracted to. However, there was this underlined mystery that sort of caught my attention and pulled at my consciousness, telling me that I should give it a read.
Perhaps it was the title, more than anything, that spoke to me. Also the fact that this is a short story. With a title, cover and blurb such as the ones that this story have, I simply could not comprehend how the story could be told in such a short amount of time. It seemed too complex, and in knowing C. Desert Rose's style, I knew that her stories are naturally rich in content.
I'd finished reading the book in about 10 minutes, and to my shock and delight, I was ravished with it.
"A Tragedy: The Short Story of Fox and Tango" relates the love affair of a teenaged girl, by the name of Felicia (Fox for short) and young man, Tyler. Tango, being his nickname. They are very much in love. Tango is spellbound by Fox's feminine wiles, also more than a little bit smitten by her take charge temperament.
Suddenly, something completely unexpected happens which sends their world tumbling down. Fox thinks she's losing her mind, but is she really?Let's just say that you'll have to find out for yourself.
I was pleasantly taken by surprise at the methodology in this story. In a matter of just a few pages the author managed to tell an intense and intriguing story, with a plot twist that isn't expected. For a genre that I would not normally read, I am happy to announce that I enjoyed this story and would recommend it to the lovers of dark romance dramas.
My score is 4.5 stars. The only reason that this story isn't getting the full 5 stars is because I felt as thought it may have needed a little more backstory to balance out the plethora of richness that was the plot.

Looking at all those M&M's made me hungry. I'm a fan of the dark brown myself, but I'm getting off track.
Besides liking the cover concept a whole lot, I also applauded the unique nicknames of Fox and Tango. Also, in most stories, the female is meek and the guy is a bit aggressive. Yet, in this light, the female is a bit alpha and the guy is a bit more laid back.
I know in most cases, extra spacing is used to depict a separation in scene but there were moments where I was a bit confused. Was the action happening that instant? How much time had passed between scenes? In addition, I felt as if the pace was accelerated a bit too quickly after "the tragedy" and the author could have taken a little more time with Fox, the anguish, and the surroundings.
This short story goes along well with the author's catch phrase: "Happily Ever After is Subjective."
Ranking: 3.5 but rounded up to 4.

The first thing that caught my attention were the M&M's. What in the heck happened to the M&M's especially the blue ones? Those are my favorite.
But this wasn't about M&M's at all. The blurb kept me wondering about what happened with Fox and Tango. So I dived in.
Fox and Tango's interaction with each other mirrored the connection of teenage love. I found Fox's aggressiveness quite entertaining--a welcomed switch from the guy being dominant in the relationship. The action sequence was well thought out and it moved like a play-by-play recap. The mystery element caught me a bit off guard but I dug the sneak up effect.
Well done! I can't wait to read more.

Although it's a YA read, I enjoyed this story. I was a little surprised at the twist at the end. For a short story, it's entertaining and is not a cliffhanger, which is hard to find in most short stories now a days.
It may not be something that adults may enjoy, but teens/YA's are sure to like it.

Although it's a short story, thought the twist could have been expanded just a tad. Seemed slightly too Rome & Juliet like for me, so that concept didn't thrill me.
More 3.5 but the systematic way it played out upgraded it to a 4.
