Dutch III picks up where part two left off.

Craze is working on a plan to make sure that Dutch escapes before the verdict is read. To accomplish this he is offered help from Mr. Odouwo. Of course, Mr. Odouwo wants something in return. But, at what cost?

A deal is made, Dutch escapes and is making a new life for himself internationally. He is doing it big but the FBI is still looking for him. The FBI is following all his close family and friends hoping to catch a break. With no real leads, the FBI decides to try to plant an undercover agent to get close to someone within the organization who may lead them to Dutch. Will this work? Who will they send and who will they trying to get close to? Will Dutch get caught or will no man be left standing?

All this and more is answered in due time.

Because I have read the other version of Dutch III written by Kwame Teague, I felt like I was reading the same story over again when I read Dutch III by Terri Woods. The difference is that this version went into more details about the characters and the events. Some of the events were really farfetched and it seems as if after page 140 the story is a little rushed.

This series has had its share of controversy. I don’t know who wrote what parts of the series but out of the three parts, none measured up to part one. I was not impressed.

Dutch III is about thieves and mainstream criminals. It is entertaining, action packed, and exciting to read. However, the ending was predictable but it did not affect the storyline, since it flowed with the two previous books in the series. I recommend Dutch III to those who like action and drama.

Don’t get me wrong I loved Dutch by Teri Woods. Especially book 1 and 2. If readers paid attention in book 1 and 2 than they don’t need all the play back Frim the books prior to book 3.

I think it could have been 2 books if all the extra filler was left out of 3.

But y’all it’s snakes everywhere. People you least expect are not to be trusted. People you love are not to be trusted. Pay attention make sure you know who is 10 toes to the floor with you.

Dutch is like when you go to a party. If we come together we leave together.

Early 2000s my mother swore by this series. Now reading it for the first time I think it is so mediocre. The second book was the best. The writing could be better sometimes things seem rushed and cringey band for the third book if I wanted a summary I would’ve wrote one myself. Waste of most of the book.

I wish she spent more time on Dutch and more of his international dealings instead of explaining in every instance how we got here.

Had this book for a minute. Bought it for someone in jail maybe he should have read it all! Definitely keeps you engage. It's violent but definitely gives you lots of food for thought about race and justice, especially in the current world events. Check it out.

I was very sad to reach the end of this trilogy. I admired Dutch, and understand why he chose a ruthless life. Embedded in him were the seeds of his families past. Those demons were viable factors in his reign of terror. When faced with limited options, an unfair society, and no hope you are essentially trapped. Dutch refused to lose, and took out anyone who was in his way. The American dream should be more obtainable, and within reach for all. There are Dutch's in every 'hood. As James Baldwin said, "People who treat people as less than human must not be surprised when they bread theh cast out comes floating back, poisoned."

This was an awesome series, and I am sad to see Dutch go.

The last of this trilogy was a huge disappointment in my opinion. It was not typical Teri Woods novel. It didn't read smoothly and a lot of passages were in the previous book. I wasn't thrilled about the ending and how rushed it was either. I was sad that I read this book because it turned my view of the series completely around. I would advise reading the 1st two of the series and letting your imagination complete the ending. LOL

It was an intense gangster novel. Money comes in bunches. Craze and Dutch escaped Newark to a life of riches in Paris. Just like in The Wire, the lure of the quick hit is so strong. Some of the shootout scenes were unbelievable. I felt sorry for the fate of Kim who had dreamed of working undercover. She did a great job of infiltrating the organization but a bullet ended her quest.
