Adia had always been known as the "fat" girl, a label that weighed heavily on her, prompting her to guard her heart from further pain. When she finally allowed herself to be vulnerable, her ex’s infidelity shattered her confidence, leaving her feeling more insecure than ever.
Cristiano had been in love with Adia for years but recognized that she wasn’t yet prepared to embrace the love he offered. Instead, he focused on building a successful career, becoming a man of respect and accomplishment.
When Adia reappears at his brother’s wedding, Cristiano seizes the moment. This time, he is determined to show her the depth of his feelings and he refuses to let her walk away.
Throughout the book, I kept getting more and more annoyed with Aida. I was so frustrated because she kept running, kept Cris at a distance, and kept getting angry when things didnt work out because she couldn't communicate. Her talk about her body was so damn frustrating. But I realized, as a woman, a bigger one at that, I've done that to myself. Maybe not to the extent she has, but I've definitely disparaged myself and my body. Its a hard thing to overcome. I love how patient Crus was but how firm he was about her getting help. Tia also pushed as it was so needed. Cris could not give Adia confidence if she didn't love herself. It wasn't fair to him or her. I dont like the pregnancy trope in this one as her body image issues weren't resolved. For me, it could have waited until the epilogue after they were married and she'd been going to therapy. Still a good story and will find this authors other books.
Adia was always known as the fat girl and as a result ridiculed, so she guarded her heart. Cristiano has always had a thing for Adia but never acted upon it until his brother's wedding and went all out to get Adia. Will Adia be able to put her past hurts aside to grab a chance for happiness with Cristiano. This story is predictable and moves at a slow pace but has its merit's.

While not my favorite this is a heartwarming and romantic tale that will captivate readers who crave a love story about self-acceptance, second chances, and the transformative power of vulnerability, making it a perfect fit for fans of contemporary romance and anyone seeking a feel-good, uplifting read.
Being known as the "fat girl" would be hard for anyone. Adia has every reason to guard her heart. But Cristiano didn't care about any of that. He wants Adia! Such a good read!
Very boring, writing was all tell no show. There was no dialogue showing banter or chemistry between the characters. For example, "I poured wine for both of us, setting the bottle aside once our glasses were full. As we dug into the meal, conversation flowed easily between us." That's it. This is their first date after crushing on each other all through high school, and that's all we get. Same thing on their first kiss. They Kiss then it's a week later with more boring inner dialogue that tells us what is going on. Readers never see it.
