"What If..?' is like having a trusted coach walking alongside, asking powerful questions. These are blended with real-life examples and artful storytelling.
I loved the invitation to look at challenging situations in a new light as well as seeing where we grow from our experiences.
For those I work with in career change and transition and especially with midlife women, I enthusiastically endorse the messages and nuggets contained within "What If...?".
I read this book after a tough week and it was just what I needed. Through a series of What If? questions Bronwyn gently encourages her readers to reframe life's challenges into opportunities for growth self-care and gratitude. This book is easy to read and very practical. It is also authentic as Bronwyn shares how these questions have helped her navigate her own challenges. It is a book that I will be returning to again and again.
I read What If…? after a recommendation from a friend. I really enjoyed the book's format where the author poses questions to the reader. It’s almost impossible to not think about your own situation and the scenarios in your own life when reading through the questions and chapters. There were a couple that got me off-guard, such as ‘What if: you know you didn’t have long to live’ which really made me think hard and question some things in my own life. So, if that’s what the author intended, she definitely succeeded. For someone who doesn't read many self-help type books, the format and succinct style of the book resonated and worked well for me. As did hearing about Bronwyn’s personal story which made it very authentic. Will definitely recommend to others.
Maybe I’ll try this again to be more fair to the author. But I started listening to this audiobook and after 10 minutes of “wot eef” questions recorded in poor quality I was too mad to listen to any more of it. The first three chapters are just straight “wot eef you realized mean people helped you grow? wot eef you loved your body instead of criticizing it?” no expounding on it, just wall to wall “wot eef” questions. AAAAAGGGHHH
This is a deeply personal book that shares a lot of hard won insights. Life in its darkest moments can teach us things - this is the message I took away from What if...? It is really accessible and down to earth. I am the publisher of What if and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Bronwyn, who I find to be sensitive, gentle and wise.
I loved how this book helped me reframe things and how the stories in it helped me understand each of the 'what if' ideas. You can dip in and out of it and the prompts in it are fantastic for journalling and reflection. Something I'll return to time and again I'm sure.
A vulnerable story of how the author has overcome her own personal challenges. I'd recommend this for anyone wanting to grow emotionally and look at life positively. Gems of advice and an easy to read style.
A good book to help you reframe your life and inspire positive change. The prompts are great for journalling and reflection to tap into your own wisdom.
