Stefan March lives for a good time. Born into wealth, he sees everything in terms of what he can have, especially women. So far, life has denied him nothing and no one. When he meets his newest bartender, he instantly knows who his next conquest will be, but Shay's not like the usual women he collects. To get her, he'll have to be more than just the player he's always been.
Shay Callahan is beautiful, determined, and intelligent. She's got plans for her life, and they don't include getting sidetracked by a man, and certainly not her wealthy player boss. Her job at Club X is for one thing—money to fund her education—but if she can make Stefan March see he's not God's gift to women, all the better. She never expects to find out there's more to him than meets the eye.
As different as day and night, can these two see past who they think they are to find love?

Surrender tells us Stefan and Shay’s love story. Stefan is Cash’s (from Temptation) younger brother and one of the owners of Club X. He manages the bars. Shay is almost done with college and will study one year abroad, but she needs money for that. She will become a new bartender at Club X, so Stefan will become her boss.
Stefan loves women and he sleeps regularly with his bartenders. He wants Shay, but Shay seems immune to his charms at first. Stefan isn’t someone who gives up easily and he always gets what he wants. He tries to spend time with Shay as much as he can and Shay learns another side of Stefan. Sparks eventually fly and they grow closer. Things are great between them, but they have to keep it a secret.
I love books where a player falls in love with a woman who’s perfect for him. Stefan is definitely a player. He doesn’t change quickly after meeting Shay, even though he wants her. Stefan only changes when he can’t stop thinking about her and when he wants her more than he ever wanted someone. Shay keeps pushing him away, but Stefan keeps trying. He even settles for being friends so they can get to know each other better. Stefan wants to make Shay happy and he enjoys being with her. In the end, there is only one woman Stefan wants and her name is Shay.
Shay is smart, passionate and talented. She’s an amazing bartender and gets along with the other bartenders. She doesn’t like man like Stefan, but there is something about him. She wasn’t looking for something serious because she will leave soon and she isn’t sure where her future will be. Shay slowly warms up to Stefan and even hopes for a future with him.
This book is a great addition to the Club X series and it can be read as a standalone. There are many things I loved in this book. There is one thing that kept me from giving this book 5 stars and that would be what Stefan did near the end. I know he did it with good intentions, but that doesn’t make it right. Everything also felt a little too rushed right before the epilogue. I wanted a little more time of them as a couple before Shay had to leave. I loved the epilogue.
I don't usually leave reviews that are negative but I will say I only made it through about 4 pages of chapter 2. Shay was a completely different person than chapter 1, and her attitude towards a possible employer was ridiculously rude. There's absolutely no way she should get that job! So confused.
I don't know why I bothered to give this series another shot but I did.
Yet another brother (like Cash) who can't keep it in his pants.
And another stupid female (like Olivia) who keeps forgiving and forgeting that he screwed around on her.
I'm done with this pathetic "romantic" series. It's bullshit. I don't want to read about the H screwing around with other women while running around the h at the same time. That is a cheater & a seedy sleazebag. Whether they're "officially" together or not. That's just semantics. You (I'm talking to you Cash & you Stephan) want the h, then STOP SCREWING OTHER WOMEN.
ANdddd...if I had a stupid moron for a friend like Carrie who actually condones Stephan's cheating I'd dump her loser ass.
K.M. Scott really outdid herself with this one. When I was reading Temptation, the first book in the Club X series, I kept telling myself that there was nothing that K.M. could do to make me like Stefan March, well, now I have had to eat those words!! Stefan, is the ultimate bad boy, rich, sexy, arrogant, and used to getting anything he wants, no matter what the cost. Enter Shay Callahan, who applies for a job as bartender at Club X, because she needs money for her future plans, not because she needs a man. Shay is independent, smart, sexy and her friends consider her a player. It doesn't take long before Stefan sets his sights on Shay, but he quickly figures out to get her, he will have to change his playing ways. The sparks fly between these two from their very first meeting, and I am not only talking about sexual sparks. I refuse to give away anything about this book, because it is too good to spoil for anyone, but I will tell you to hold on for the ride of your life, and enjoy watching Stefan be bought down to his knees.
Great job, K.M. Scott, and although I have really enjoyed Cassian and Stefan's books, I am really looking forward to the next book in the series. There is just something about Kane that has attracted me from the beginning.
I love this series, the March brothers are all seriously hot. The first book with Cash was an incredible romance, and this book with Stefan is just as great. A rich, tall, muscular, gorgeous male who tries to squander his man-whorish background to give his all to a girl is--while a little cliche--but a good read. This book was close to 400 pages and every night when I'd pick up the book and read Shay and Stefan's story each chapter would hook me in. I'm definitely excited to read about Kane's story, personally he seems to be the most interesting brother to me...scary looking, big as life, hot, dark past, doesn't pay much attention to girls... This book deserves five stars; great character development, wonderful plot, and incredibly sexy characters.
This is the second book in the Club X series that can be read as a standalone but will be enjoyed more if you’ve read Temptation, for that is where you first meet a number of the characters and there are references to things that were learned in book one.
Stefan March is the youngest of the three brothers that co-own Club X, a place where fantasies can come true. He’s a man-whore who uses women and then leaves his brothers to legally clean up the ramifications of his dalliances. He’s got bad boy down to a science and this player knows his looks are an asset but he’s never been turned down until the day he meets his new bartender. She won’t be easy to capture but with a little taunting from his half-brother backed up by their sibling rivalry and the need to show up his brother he’s primed for the chase.
Shaylene (Shay) Callahan is the newest bartender at Club X. She’s there temporarily to make money to fund a year of education abroad in microbiology. She’s beautiful, smart, sassy and determined to meet her goals. She likes being with men but does not want any serious distractions or attachments. She’s a bit of a player herself and the cockiness and arrogance of her new boss rubs her the wrong way at their first meeting. She wouldn’t mind bringing one like him down a notch.
These two have such an electric connection and definite chemistry. The dance between them was so damn sexy and amusing and also heartbreaking. You wonder who is playing who at times for they both rock each other’s worlds and the game they are playing is bound to get someone hurt emotionally. Shay can’t let that happen but the more she gets to know the Stefan that not many see the more she finds herself falling for him. There are those that hide behind the façade that the world wants to see and it takes a catalyst to alter their masquerade. Stefan was not my favorite of the brothers in book one but there is more to him than meets the eye. Though a leopard can’t change its spots one wearing leopard’s clothing can chose to change their coat given the right circumstances and for Stefan, Shay is that catalyst. He has never known anyone like her.
I absolutely loved this book and am looking forward to Kane’s story, the brother that I found the most intriguing of the three. This is the first series that I have read from this author, she writes compelling and likable characters that you can’t help but get invested in and engaging storylines that keep you turning the pages. The Heart of Stone series is definitely on my list to read soon.
I was lucky enough to win an ARC of this book from the author.
I liked this but didn't enjoy is as much as the first one. The one problem that caused me to give it 3 stars was the Lola and Stefan drama at the end and how everyone told Shay she didn't know the whole story that he did it for the club that was a huge turn off for me and two weeks later Shay forgives him cause she felt bad that he felt like he had to do it.
This book was meh. I didn’t hate it but also felt like it dragged on for too long. For about 300 pages there I felt like I was just going through the motions of reading because the book was not catching my attention. The story was predictable but I guess if you read as much as I do you start to see patterns in book and how similar a lot of authors write compared to each other
Surrender Book #2 Club X series by K.M. Scott What a delicious read. Stefan March, Hot Hot most sought after male in Tampa. The Player of all Players, a man whore and part owner of one of the hottest Exclusive Members only Tampa Clubs. Shay Callahan is beautiful, intelligent and determined. She has her life totally planned out and there is no room for men. I would consider Shay the female version (maybe not as big) of Stefan March. Shay makes it perfectly clear to her boy toy Elliot, their relationship is for fun and commitment free. At year’s end she will be heading off to Copenhagen for a year to study and finish up her Ph.D. That is why she applies for the bartender job at Club X. She’s heard the girls make a fortune in tips and this is just what she needs. Getting through her interview with Cash and Kane, Shay was heading out the door when she encountered Mr. Player himself. Her perception of him was anything but good. And here is where the story really gets interesting. Finally Stef has met his challenge. A woman he cannot make swoon over him. Challenge on. And what a challenge it is. Wow! When a player plays a player only two things can happen. It can go terribly wrong or it can go oh so right. Does it go right for Stef and Shay? Is Stefan’s Player persona all an act? Is he hiding behind something? You’ll have to read this great story to find out. Will Shay hold true to her determination, just for fun and no time for men? Will she ever give up her heart? “Spoiler here” Stefan and Shay fall hard for each other. Really hard. Tearing down every wall they’ve ever built. But when Stefan’s Player persona comes back to bite him, his actions, good intentions from the heart to not hurt his brothers or club any further could totally destroy what he and Shay were building forever. And it nearly did. When Shay walked in on the little scene, that was it. The End. Or was it. Two players so to speak totally devastated by the course of events at what happened. Total meltdowns and completely came unglued. One realizing what his actions just did. He lost the woman he loved forever. This part of their story hurt. You felt their pain and anguish. But in true K.M. Scott fashion I think you’ll like how this story ends. I did . BUT I need more of these two characters. I need to see what happens 8 months later. I need to see if Stefan pops the question. I just need to see everything. I really want more. That being said I so can’t wait until Kane’s book. Possession. He has a soft spot with me.
Surrender by K.M. Scott is the second book in this trilogy and it was a book that is going to give me a book hangover until the next one comes out! This book was awesome!
This book starts where the first one ended and we get to see what is going on in all the brothers lives-this one is about Stephen, the youngest brother and the one in charge of the bar at Club X. Stephen is the cocky, self-assured brother that sleeps with anyone and everyone he wants to and does not seem to take life too seriously.
Shay, a woman who is a student and studying to be a scientist and needs some money to save up for when she leaves for Copenhagen at the end of her semester, goes to Club X to get a bartending job so she can earn a lot of great tips and be more prepared for her trip abroad.
From the moment they meet, sparks fly, and it is very obvious that they both have an agenda-Shay to avoid her player boss and show him she is not interested in his type of entertainment, that she is not a bimbette, and Stephen decides he wants to win Shay as she is different than anyone he has ever been with and it will be a feather in his cap to win. He has never lost so he is exceedingly cocky at times and it sure does not hurt his cause that he is so handsome and has the perfect body, a body a woman can get lost in! Shay on the other hand is a beautiful young woman, and she decides to try to beat Stephen at his own game!
Then a crazy little four letter word gets in the way of all the scheming, plotting, and planning! Will Shay see past the facade Stephen shows the world to see the real man inside? Will he be able to change? Will Shay believe what he says to her? Then when he changes before her eyes what is she to think? How will she react?
This book had a great plot, great dialog, great situations, hilarious scenes on occasion, and oh so much confusion for the both of them! I can't wait to read the next book in this series, as I know it is going to be good. This book really nailed it as one of my all time favorites, and I will enjoy reading it again and again in the coming years!
I gave this book 5***** stars and I know it will remain a favorite of mine for years to come when I go to re-read it! Thank you K.M. Scott for writing another winner! The hits keep coming on!
I was looking forward to Stefan's story. Out of the three brothers who own club X he's the manwhore, he's had sex with most of the female bartenders who work for him. Which has caused multiple problems with his brothers and the smooth running of their club. When Shay gets a job as a bartender in the club Stefan is attracted to her, but she's got his number from the get go. I wondered how the author was going to make Stefan's character do a complete turnaround. On the whole I think she did a really good job, and despite his whoring ways I really liked his character. Shay on the other hand took a little longer to warm up to. She was a bit of a user herself I get that the author did that to even things out between them, but it made her seem a bit of a cold fish to begin with. There was quite a bit of angst but not as much as I thought there would be. The book was well written and the characters were well drawn, I liked how the relationship between Stefan and Shay was built throughout the story. There was some drama, but this was really more character driven.
Overall this was an enjoyable read, I didn't like it quite as much as the first book featuring Cassian and Olivia. But I look forward to Kane's story.
4.5 stars I have a thing for bad boys and I think that KM fulfilled all her bad boy duties, with this bad boy! Stefan is hot, sexy, confident, arrogant, and melt worthy. Pretty sure he made my book boyfriend list for October.
I could see the book playing out as a movie in my head, and every time I got interrupted I had to hit pause, but each time came running back as fast as I could to get back to what was happening.
I love the brothers, Kane, Cassian & Stefan, sibling rivalry anyone with a sibling can understand.
Carrie and Shay, reminded me of myself and my friends, so that made the story line, totally believable.
I want to thank K.M. Scott for the chance to read this before the masses I truly enjoyed and can't wait for more I. The club X series
I received a copy of this book from the author in return for an honest review.
I loved this book. The bad boy changed from the love of a woman. I laughed, I cried it was awesome. Shay is a player - at least that's what her fiends think. She goes for a job at Club X in order to raise money for her trip to Copenhagen. After her interview she runs into Stefen, the resident bad boy and part owner of the club. They get off on the wrong foot and right off they've met each other's matches. Shay won't take Stefen's player, sexually harassing ways and Stefen sees her as his next conquest to win a bet with his brother.
Things just escalate from there. So be prepared for the ride of your life.
Stefan March, owner of Club X, man whore, sexy and rich, he's used to get everything he wants, until the day he meets Shay, bartender, beautiful and intelligent, with a determination to fight for what she wants. Stefan's and Shay's world will collide and sparks fly! What starts with a bet will end, after some bumps, in a beautiful relationship based on truth and trust.
This book has a great plot, the characters are good, some scenes are hilarious, others intense. I loved Stefan, he's adorable, sexy and so confident! In the end everyone wins!
K.M. Scott has outdone herself again! This second book of the Club X series features Stefan March, the infamous man whore and co-owner of Club X. When he meets his newest bartender, Shay Callahan, sparks begin to fly. He soon finds out, to win this girl, he will need to change his playboy ways.
Congratulations, K.M. Scott, you have done it again! I can hardly wait for the next book featuring Kane to come out.
I absolutely loved Stefan's book as much as I did Cash's. It was awesome to see the ultimate player be put into his place by a sassy intellectual woman who was also a bartender. To watch his fight to change the image that he portrayed to the world was endearing at times and your heart hurt a little for him because he still blamed himself for things that happened in the past. I cannot wait to read Kane's book! This series is a must read and another slam dunk by K.M. Scott!
Stephen March, player extraordinaire, meets his match with Shay Callahan. This a fun showdown to read about. Witty banter and barbed comments will have you page turning. This books lacks the intensity of the first book but it is still a great read. If you liked the first book you will enjoy Stephen's tale.
I loved it. HOT, SEXY, and full of guys that need a God women to make a difference in there life. Shay was a great character and I loved she was a smart one to not some twit. And Stef well no need to explain him after reading this it explains itself. Can't wait for Club X 3 patiently waiting for Kain
oh my this book brings playing, bad boy to his knees.this series is one of my favorites club x is staged in Tampa .it's a sex club and three brothers run it but the playing brother Stephen falls for smart girl what.this is a must read. great job k.m.Scott.
This book is all about the youngest of the clan, Stephan. He is a man whore but when he meets the right girl things change. I liked the book just fine. I still prefer the first one in the series. But I am happy to have read it.
Shay💋💉 is a woman scientist living in Miami.🌴 She has a young boyfriend that is her bad boy sex toy👱🍌🌋 but that's it. She is keeping it temporary because in a few months she is going to Copenhagen for more studies.
Likewise, she gets a temporary job as a bartender🍸 at Club X, a members only sex🍌🌋✋ and dance club. The pay and tips are outstanding, and on her first 🌙night, she meets Stefan🐺🍌🌋✋,one of the club's three owners. They are all brothers. Stefan🐺🍌🌋✋ is a super handsome alpha, ultra sex god womanizer, and he comes onto Shay💋🍸 right from the beginning. Shay💋🍸 is too smart to let herself be sucked into Stefan's sordid games, so she plays hard to get, making him actually go do things around Miami🌴 with her. She isn't going to let herself be a one 🌙night stand with him. Besides, she has a bet with her friend that she will get him to fall in 💘Love with her. Little does she know that Stefan's brothers have a similar bet, Stefan🐺🍌🌋✋ will get Shay💋🍸 to fall in love with him! In the meantime, the young boy toy👱🍌🌋 gets the boot!
Lots of xxx scenes in this book between Shay💋💉 and Stefan🐺🍌🌋✋, but not much of anything about the goings on at the club. This book can be read alone, but there are references to things from book one. This is an angst😣 and heart break💔 ridden story of a man coming to terms with his actions and his lifestyle, and becoming the man he should be for the woman he 💘loves. YEHAW! Ride em Bareback🍌, Cowgirl!🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
"All I can do is show you every day that I love you and hope that one day you believe me."
Oh. My. Goodness! Stefan is a hot one! I wasn't sure I liked him in Book 1. He's a womanizer. A misogynist. He objectified and used women for one thing and one thing only. And they came to him willingly. Book 2 was no different. Until Shay. I love Shay. She's smart, strong, and doesn't play into Stefan's "God's Gift To Women" ego.
Stefan is all about the game. A player. Content with meaningless fun with whatever woman is up for it. Running the bar at Club X gives him a steady stream of bartenders more than willing to keep the boss happy. Any way he wants.
Shay wants the bartending gig for the money before she heads overseas to complete her microbiology research. Finding herself targeted to be Stefan's next conquest, she decides to play her own game with him.
But what happens when the players get played? When the game of manipulation, becomes a battle of the heart? Will a duty to the Club mean the end of the game for them both?
The March men are so different in many ways, but one. They are HOT !
The March brothers own a private club; Stefan March is the youngest brother who manages the bar area. Stefan is a player and is sexually active with most of his female employees.
Shay is a graduate student trying to save money for an internship in Copenhagen. She hears how good the tips are and applies to be a bartender at Club X. She sees Stefan is a player and decides to turn the tables on him.
Stefan’s brother bets him that he can’t get Shay to love him. At the same time, Shay has decided to trick Stefan into falling for her so she can dump him, to teach him a lesson. And so the games begin. But along the way, they start to know each other as individuals and find they like each other once they get away from the games they are playing.
I was surprised how rude Shay was to Stefan just as she has applied for a job working for him. And Shay was living with a younger man she treats as a boy toy but doesn’t like the way Stefan treats the women at work, even though those women seem to enjoy the attention? It lowered my opinion of Shay. And of course Stefan’s behavior was also poor, but I didn’t think he realized how bad his behavior was.
Who loves a Bad Boy Romance? I definitely do! I was excited to dive right in to Surrender and find out what makes Stefan tick. We all know he was not a likable character in Book 1. I really did not have a lot of hope for this brother of the series. But one thing we have to remember. If we really have something or someone that is worth it, we can all make a change. With Stefan it was not too late.
Shay was amazing! I am finding that I favor the heroines in the Club X series. She gives as good as she takes that's for sure. When she finds herself in a compromising situation, she is determined to make Stefan another memory. Shay is not looking for love. Or so she thought.
Can Shay be the one to make Stefan change? Can Stefan finally be the one to make Shay want to settle down and let love in? There is angst, hot sexy scenes that make you kindle almost melt, and a whole lot of give and take. I tell you one thing is for sure. The more you read into the Club X series, the more you want to stay with these characters!
I wasn't so sure I'd like this one at all, to be honest. One player trying to play a strong woman and a defiant anti-player trying to play the player. It seemed too corny and disastrous to me. BUT I kept reading because I'm OCD about reading the whole series.
I was pleasantly surprised.
The player felt so unloved, uggggh, and she felt so boring for being so smart. He wasn't the great player everyone thought, just a sweet little boy starving for love. She was afraid to feel, instead surrounding herself with science.
It was actually funny that they tried to play each other and they fell in love, unwillingly lols. 😂 And that silly little bet, ai Mon Dieu.
I loved the blunt mother, the teasing brothers, hehe. The sister in law rooting for him. I did NOT like the cheating, or how easily all was forgiven, or how the business problems were solved magically and so quickly.
Wow! The second episode of this series certainly hasn't disappointed me, and I'm sure you will feel the same. This fast-paced, sexually charged book will have you all over the emotional board as rich playboy, Stefan March, meets his match in playgirl Shay Callahan. The big question of the day is...who will end being the player and who will be the played? Shay needs cash, and lots of it, for a planned move for her career, as she will be leaving for Copenhagen to further her research, for a year. She's been told of Club X, and the questionable activities that may or may not happen there, but the tips are good...real good...too good to not go for it. But will she be able to endure her new boss, or will she be able to beat him at his own game? An awesome read. Can't wait to read Kane's story!
