I loved her unapologetic life story! Very relatable and very real!

Honest. Raw. Impactful. Empowering. Witty. Bold. Triumphant.
These are just a few words that come to mind when I think of Rising: Fearless Women Rebelling by Robyn Marie Williams.
Rising tells the story of a woman who has risen out of the ashes. From a brutal sexual assault, to intense family dynamics, to a messy divorce, to losing friendships and leaving organized religion, to finding love again… Robyn takes us along on her intense journey of learning how to RISE.
Somehow through the heaviness, she makes us laugh all while dropping brutally honest truth bombs that when applied, can successfully change your life. Very few people write with such honestly, and it was refreshing
I took my time working through this one. I wanted to really bask in what I was being taught because it felt holy. I genuinely wanted to understand. I learned a term I had never heard before (fawning) and also learned a great deal about grief that I didn’t know before.
One quick specific mention: Chapter 19… not only is the subject matter compelling and beyond relatable, but Robyn’s writing elevates to another level. It’s like her words were on fire, free flowing with knowledge. My favorite chapter by far.
This book would be great for any woman who is going through a major life change, struggling with the end of a relationship, or any woman who wants to step into her power. I am a (very) happily married woman, and yet I still found this book to be relatable and knowledgeable. Read it and then pass it onto your friends… they need it too!

This book was empowering, bold, raw, honest and so many other things. There were part of it that I would want every woman I know to read. And then the other parts I felt were too much. I really struggled with her talking about deeply personal spiritual experiences in an open forum like this. Some things are meant to be kept private. I would say 70% I loved.
