I was so happy when I heard Kai was getting a book and Emkey did not disappoint!
The plot twists were wild! Like did not see them coming at all! Haven’s story was heart breaking but her connection with Kai was so beautiful. I loved that they both had some fire and bite to them but also had such tenderness for one another.
I also really enjoyed that though the story ran parallel to Archer’s story it was not just a rewrite of that one. It hinted at scenes without being repetitive so that way we could follow along but get to see the secrets that Kai was holding.
Really enjoyed this book!

And there it is folks. Kai’s absolute devotion to Haven. These two had instant chemistry. I enjoyed that aspect to read two folks who just *know* their love for each other. The spice is spicing and plentiful without overwhelming the story. My heart ached for everything Haven dealt with but I’ll be damned if she is strong willed. She does what must be done. And that takes courage and strength. No matter how ugly the matter is. Kai melted my heart. I want him in my life too 🤣

Another spicy gem… super spicy. I loved Kai and Haven. This book’s timeline aligns with the first book, The Devils Hunt so there is some repetition just from different POV’s so it was nice to get more of the behind the scenes.
Chaos is darker than Hunt solely based on the things Haven had to endure from her father and brother. Using those terms loosely because they are the worst kind of monsters. I honestly don’t know how Haven survived all these years and still came out on top - she is a badass.
The twists were awesome, but I had my suspicions prior to the big reveal.
Cannot wait to dive into Theo’s story.

I will admit I still have a hangover after finishing this book and I am not made about it. In the first book, The Devil's Hunt, I fell in love with Archer and Mila. In this book, The Devil's Chaos, Kai and Haven are etched into my soul. The amount of twist and turns kept me wanting more. The writing style was interesting because what you didn't see in the first book pertaining to Kai, you get in the first half of this book. All the pieces come together in the second half and not what you would expect in any form.
Kai is one complicated dude but that is what makes his story even better and his obsession with Haven more interesting. Haven has a very dark past and was brought up in a family that used, abused, and beat down her very psyche. From the beginning, Kai needs Haven more than she even knows. He knows that she is his beginning, middle, and end...he will stop at nothing to make that happen. Haven is numb to her life and knows that she will never escape her family, especially her brother (who needs to rot in something worse than hell) but never expected someone like Kai to give her that out.
When Kai and Haven finally come together there is nothing stopping the passion each holds for other...but at the same time both want to protect the other at all costs. With the backing of The Brotherhood, Haven is accepted into the family. What secrets will be revealed? What will the present show that the past hide all these years?
I don't know how E.L. Emkey does it but with each book she helps you escape into a world that might be damaged but in the end has a purpose. Her writing is phenomenal and you will not be disappointed in what she writes. She will always be our Queen Goddess...

The Devil’s Chaos is book 2 in The Brotherhood Series by E.L. Emkey. We got just a little glimpse into Kai and Haven’s relationship in The Devil’s Hunt, so I was eager to get my hands on their story.
Kai is part of a powerful secret society, when he is tasked with keeping an eye on a rival organization he finds himself instantly drawn to Haven, the daughter of the rival organization’s leader. Haven has been tortured by her father and brother for years, being forced to endure things that no one should ever have to, especially by their own brother. From the moment Kai locks eyes with Haven he knows there is something unique about her and he is determined to set her free from her abusers and make her his.
What a wild ride this was - so many twists! I really enjoyed The Devil’s Chaos and going on this journey with Kai and Haven. No one deserved a happy ending more than Haven, that girl endured so much. Yet despite all of the torment, she is a force to be reckoned with. Kai is everything you want in a morally gray MMC, he’s protective, loyal and just the right amount of unhinged to justify doing whatever it takes to keep Haven safe.
The Devil’s Chaos is dual narrated by Shiloh James and Nelson Hobbs. This was my first time listening to both of these narrators and they did a wonderful job bringing this dark story to life. Shiloh was able to capture Haven’s emotions from her trauma so well, she also did a great job performing the male voices. Nelson did a great job bringing Kai’s morally gray side to life and he also captured his softer side that he reserved for Haven so well.

Book 2 didn’t quite hit me the same way Book 1 did—but it’s still SO worth the read. The only thing that brought it down a peg for me was the very enthusiastic repetition of love declarations. I mean, I’m all for a good “I love you,” but after the 17th time, I was like, “Okay besties, we get it!”
Now let’s talk about Kai—our morally mysterious and secretly soft hero. In Book 1, I wasn't sure. In Book 2? I would fight for that man in the streets. His love for Haven is DEEP. Like, Mariana Trench level deep.
And Haven… sweet, strong, traumatized Haven. This girl has been through it. Her past? Gut-wrenching. Her strength? Inspiring. I wanted to reach through the pages, give her a blanket, a snack, and a hug.
The last half of this book twisted in such a way, I kept expecting Glen Powell to show up—because baby, it was a TWISTER. My jaw? On the floor. My emotional stability? In shambles.
I'm immediately running to start book three and crossing every finger and toe that this isn’t the end of the Brotherhood series. I’m not ready to say goodbye!

The Devil's Chaos was soooooo f***ing gooooood!!!! Omg, Kai Montgomery and Haven Benson were amazing.
Haven is an incredible FMC. This girl has been through it all! I love her. I love her!!! Ugh and Kai?! Don't even get me started! I love that man 😭!!!! He literally would do anything for his Little Lamb!!! I love the way that Kai was always there for Haven and called her his safe place 🥹❤️! Oh, and the spice was spicyyyyy 🔥🔥🔥!!!
The way that E. L. Emkey weaved book 1 into book 2 and made everything make sense?? Loved it! I enjoyed Kai's book more than book 1 for sure! I really can't wait for Theo's book so I can do a re-read!! And the little tidbits that will lead to book 3, Theo's book??? I am so excited!!!!

Kai & his little lamb, Haven, have made it difficult on who I love more. E. L. Emkey did it again 😭 She stole my soul. Two individuals who never thought they'd find happiness in another find love with each other. However, when issues arise within the secret society due to who Haven is, Kai does whatever it takes to keep her.

I love The Botherhood series and all their crazy ritualistic messed up ways, but the way that E.L threw in all the twists and turns in this second book had my heart flipping and freaking the entire time!
I love that you still get Archer and Mila details and notes throughout the read their story doesn't end with their book, and Theo, well, I can not wait to see what that naughty secretive like techie has been hiding and stalking in the dark.
Kai is filthy mouthed, unhinged, possessive in all the right ways with a few stalkerish ways. He absolute perfection 💜 He's used to creating chaos with his Brotherhood 'Tasks' and then enjoying all the benefits that come with the groups power and wealth. Little did he know that the emerald eyes he is met with when he first sees Haven would flip everything he knew and leave him trying to figure out what world/chaos he actually wants.
Haven is an amazing FMC she is the definition of cracked but not broken. Her life has been nothing but torment and darkness, but the enemy of her enemy might just be the beacon of light she needs!

Kai is by a landslide my new standard for men because of the way he speaks to Haven and her. This book is everything to me and I wasnt sure if I would be able read some of the more taboo traumatic events, but the author portrayed the female protagonist with so much strength and selflessness it became impossible not to consume every word. LOVE LOVE LOVE this series!

Wow, E.L. Emkey does it again and pens another amazing romantic suspense, the second book of her fantastic “Brotherhood” series and it is just as wild and twisted as the first book and just as impressive and captivating too. The first book, “The Devil’s Hunt”, is Archer’s and Mila’s story, and I recommend starting the series there, not only will you get the most of the incredible world building, but characters overlap into each other’s book and it is beneficial knowing their backstories. Also, you will meet other key characters, including Kai Montgomery, Archer’s sidekick in life and in the Brotherhood, a secret society, and Haven Benson. Kai’s and Haven’s story runs parallel to the timelines of the first book, and you see some events from their point of view, with everything being their own story, not just a repeat of events. I liked Kai from the first book, and thought he was a solid guy, and getting to know him even more and seeing him in a different light, I like him even more. He was hooked on Haven the moment he laid eyes on her, except she wasn’t his to have, but that did not stop him from pursuing her. Haven’s life was not a good one and her evil and controlling father was only half her problem, the other half was her equally controlling and evil brother, who just use her as a commodity in their world and personally. As much as Haven wants out of that life, she knows her brother and father will not let her go, and they would hurt anyone who tried to help her escape. Emkey weaves a complex web and there is never a dull moment in this multi-layered story, a cleverly plotted story that has plenty of drama, angst, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Thank you for another amazing story and wild ride, chaos has never been this good or diabolical!
🎧📚🎧 Shiloh James and Nelson Hobbs were fantastic at voicing their characters and delivering a perfect portrayal of each, sounding believable in every role and situation. Both showcased every aspect of their characters’ personality, with James nailing it as Haven, and Hobbs as Kai, and they were just as amazing performing the roles of the side characters too. They set the right tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. Their gripping performance is entertaining and holds your interest where nothing else matters except what is going to happen next in the story. These two were a perfect pairing, with voices and talent that complemented each other and a performance that takes this already amazing story to another level.

Y’ALL. I just wrapped up reading “The Devil’s Chaos” by E.L. Emkey and this woman has done it AGAIN. This book was not what I was expecting but in the best ways possible! The characters were fiercely loyal, passionately connected, and brought out sides of themselves that only the other could. It is obvious that Emkey’s MCs come from deep in her soul and they mean a lot to her! That makes all the difference in a book.
We got a taste of Kai Montgomery in book one of the series and babbyyyyyy, Kai is a whole-ass vibe that I could get used to. He’s smokin’ hot, supremely confident, deadly in his own right, and becomes mush around his woman. Such a contradiction that I came to love! NOW. Haven Benson. OKAY. I love me a strong, “I protect who I love, no questions asked,” survivor of a FMC and Haven was it. Her upbringing was absolutely horrible and lived in constant survival mode creating a tough personality. When she meets Kai and he wants to give her everything she was denied her whole life, it was hard, but because Kai softens for her, Haven found her match. Major swoon!!!
But uh, she’s the daughter of the major rival of the Brotherhood. YIKES! It doesn’t take long for her to gain additional confidence to get the heck out of dodge and become part of the Brotherhood family… who cares about betrayal, yall! No one! 👏🏻
BUT YALL! Emkey hits us with some doozeys at the end of this story that I was NOT prepared for and I was living for it! The twists I didn’t see coming from a mile away and for sure shakes things up for book 3 and I can’t wait to see how it plays out!
It is not a secret that I love Emkey’s writing. But my favorite thing about this book? It’s told in a dual timeline with book 1 and it’s done FLAWLESSLY. Yes, the series itself is all standalones but nope. You have to read them in order to appreciate the entire picture. It’s making me super excited for Theo’s book because we’ll get some of this story from his POV and it really makes it an awesome read!
If you’re a dark romance baddie who loves a kick-ass FMC, a fiercely protective MC, secret societies, touch her and die vibes, then this book is for you! BUT READ IT AFTER THE DEVIL’S HUNT! You’ll thank me later!

But uh, she’s the daughter of the major rival of the Brotherhood. YIKES! It doesn’t take long for her to gain additional confidence to get the heck out of dodge and become part of the Brotherhood family… who cares about betrayal, yall! No one! 👏🏻
BUT YALL! Emkey hits us with some doozeys at the end of this story that I was NOT prepared for and I was living for it! The twists I didn’t see coming from a mile away and for sure shakes things up for book 3 and I can’t wait to see how it plays out!
It is not a secret that I love Emkey’s writing. But my favorite thing about this book? It’s told in a dual timeline with book 1 and it’s done FLAWLESSLY. Yes, the series itself is all standalones but nope. You have to read them in order to appreciate the entire picture. It’s making me super excited for Theo’s book because we’ll get some of this story from his POV and it really makes it an awesome read!
If you’re a dark romance baddie who loves a kick-ass FMC, a fiercely protective MC, secret societies, touch her and die vibes, then this book is for you! BUT READ IT AFTER THE DEVIL’S HUNT! You’ll thank me later!

Oh, Haven and Kai came crashing into my earbuds in “The Devils Chaos” and I am positively obsessed with their love story. I wondered if Mila and Archer could be topped from “The Devil’s Hunt”, and here I am with my brain & heart melted with these two.
This story runs parallel to “The Devil’s Hunt” in regard to the storyline, and I appreciated this detail. I would strongly recommend listening to “Hunt” first. It’s an excellent story and the narration is combustible.
Shiloh James is our FMC, Haven, a tortured woman who has been subjected to physical and sexual proclivities at the hands of her brother. This part of the storyline is incredibly hard to process. Shiloh is flawless as a broken, but defiant, Haven. I appreciate how the author uses this storyline to build a narrative that Haven is a pawn for her father and brother — she is used by both of them in their sick world and knows nothing but this life. I love the fire that Shiloh brings to Haven….this chick refuses to go quietly into the night. And then she meets Kai.
Shiloh manages to give Haven a duality that I find powerful; her voice has a touch of raspiness which lends itself well to spicy scenes (this is a dual performance and she had my heart rate racing!). She is exquisite in emotional execution. Shiloh is new-to-me, and I know I will be seeking stories told from her voice. So, thank you E.L Emkey for delivering her to me by way of Haven.
Nelson Hobbs is also new-to-me. I was captivated by his command as Kai. When I listened to “The Devil’s Hunt”, I immediately wanted Kai’s story. He is a prominent member of The Brotherhood and a fierce protector to Haven. He watches her, studies her, and is determined to rescue her from the only world she has known. Nelson has a sense of steady authority he gives to Kai that coaxes the listener in and builds trust. It is easy to see why Haven finds him to be a refuge.
This story is a journey. Please check content and trigger warnings. There is a flashback chapter near the last half of the story I had to pause and sit with — Shiloh performs a gripping scene of a 6 year old Haven seeing her mother’s demise that broke my heart. That is going to stay with me. I loved this audio, and naturally, I’m eager to get book 3 in my ears!

OMG! I LOVE KAI! He is the ultimate book boyfriend. If you crave the possessive, fierce, stalkerish, touch her and die type of guy, like I definitely do, then you will fall hopelessly in love with Kai like I did.
Kai takes us on one hell of a twisty, violent, bloody and passion filled rollercoaster ride that I didn’t want to end. His instant attraction to Haven became an obsession and addiction that he could not and wouldn’t not give up. He would do anything and everything to make her his forever. But first there’s a few hurdles they both have to overcome.
Haven’s story is heartbreaking, gut-wrenching and insanely tragic. I absolutely hate her family. The way they treated Haven like a commodity and the things they do to her and let happen to her had me raging with incredible hatred for all of them. But she’s a survivor, she knows her worth and will fight for the love she deserves.
The banter between Haven and Kai was filled with so much emotion that you could feel the bond they were slowly building with each other, and you just knew that once they got rid of all the hurdles in front of them, they would be incredible together.
"I won't let you go, Haven. You know what I'm capable of. I'll tear this world apart to keep you."
The steam that Haven and Kai generate between the pages was sinfully delicious and I could not get enough of it.
This story was filled with so many twists and turns that I was constantly on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next when I turned the page. It was filled with adrenaline inducing moments, WTF twists, bloody violence that had me cheering, gut-wrenching moments and an undeniable love and devotion between two incredible characters.

I loved The Devils Hunt so much. So when this one hit my kindle I dropped everything to get to it. 🤗 It was everything that I could have hoped for. There’s nothing I love more than a man obsessed the second he lays eyes on his girl. Kai was down for the count the second he saw Haven.
Haven… ugh I love her. So fierce, so bad ass, so resilient just amazing. Her resistance to Kai is admirable cause let’s be real I’d be down bad for him so fast. 😂
Not gonna lie I didn’t love Kai at first but he grew on me pretty quickly. He’s definitely an MMC that is obsessed / stalks his woman and pushes right into her life even though she’s telling him to F off. 😂 He would do anything when it comes to his little lamb and I love me and MMC that will burn it all to the ground for her.
Together, I like the communication that came from Kai… not so much on Haven BUT overall I would say miscommunication is kept to a minimum. The way the first book and this book are intertwined is perfect. You get the same timeline of events as book one but it’s not a re write. It’s a totally different experience and it’s 🤌🏽 Also the plot twists 🤭🤭🤭 Ah it was so good!
If you are a dark romance lover I would highly recommend this one, as well as the first book in this series The Devils Hunt.

💓I just knew I was going to fall in love with Kai’s story. I’m absolutely obsessed with this series. This is book 2 in the Brotherhood series I definitely recommend reading the 1st book to get the full experience.
💓Kai set his sights on his little lamb and he was a goner. He becomes obsessed with Haven & will stop at nothing to have her. Haven my poor sweet girl goes through it & somehow is still so strong and resilient.
💓I really liked how the timeline was the same as book 1 but from Kai’s POV. I really felt immersed in the chaos that unfolds. This had everything twists & turns, violence, love, passion and overcoming obstacles.
💓Kai was perfect, he was so caring, loving and protective of his “little lamb” he’s also a little psycho and I love it. They were actually so perfect for each other. The build up of their relationship was so beautiful, and that passion had me sweating. The determination of being together at what ever cost had me emotional, they truly jumped through so many hoops for their love. Their banter was top tier & girl…… that spice was 🔥 omg they were so hot together.
💓This story had so many WTF moments, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I devoured this and secretly loved it more than Asher’s book…. 🤫 Shhhhh

I don’t know how to start this review because honestly I was left speechless with this book, everything about this book was PERFECT! This book will take you to places you didn’t imagine, it was extraordinary from biggining to end. Erika outdid herself with this one. If I could give this book 10+⭐️ I will.
The story of Kai & Haven, 2 people literally made for each other. I am absolutely obsessed with this book. I can honestly read about this 2 forever. Haven my sweet angel, full of fire and fighting for her freedom. I love everything about her character. She has gone through hell her entire life since she was 6 years old. She was born to the worst people ever and the trauma, violence and abuse that she endure in the hands of her father and brother is unexplainable and even after all that she still had a fire inside her to fight to be free of that life. She strong and feisty! And Kai, OMG Kai Montgomery my new obsession! This man is something else, I love everything about him. He is so protective and possessive to the point you would tear up at his words and his actions. Just perfection!!!!
The way Erika wrote this book was amazing, the plot and OMG the freaking twist at the end will leave you saying: WHAATTTT 😳😱 NO F way 😅 - I know I did lol! I have been reading Erika’s book since day 0 and this book is a major evolved from the first book! You would not regret it READ IT - READ IT NOWWWW!!!

The plot twists were wild! Like did not see them coming at all! Haven’s story was heart breaking but her connection with Kai was so beautiful. I loved that they both had some fire and bite to them but also had such tenderness for one another.
Kai is one complicated dude but that is what makes his story even better and his obsession with Haven more interesting. Haven has a very dark past and was brought up in a family that used, abused, and beat down her very psyche. From the beginning, Kai needs Haven more than she even knows. He knows that she is his beginning, middle, and end...he will stop at nothing to make that happen.
Haven is numb to her life and knows that she will never escape her family, especially her brother but never expected someone like Kai to give her that out.
When Kai and Haven finally come together there is nothing stopping the passion each holds for other...but at the same time both want to protect the other at all costs. With the backing of The Brotherhood, Haven is accepted into the family. What secrets will be revealed? What will the present show that the past hide all these years?

I was anticipatedly waiting "The Devil's Choas" and 💯 well deserved 5 ⭐. I couldn't get enough of Kai and Haven, they were amazing. Emkey definitely didn't disappoint.
Haven is a strong and an incredible FMC. Her whole life she is been through a lot and still fighting for her freedom. Her story was heartbreakingly sad but the connection and chemistry with Kai from the beginning was so beautiful. Kai is absolutely devoted to Haven and the way how they try to protect each other and willing to give up on everything for their love was incredible. Kai is always there for Haven and he is Havens safe place.
I can say Haven found everything what she always deserved and with Kai she is stronger than ever.

The stories and characters getting better and better i had in some scenes teary eyes. I loved and enjoyed Archer and Mila in "The Devil's Hunt" but "The Devil's Chaos" was so freaking good. The appearance from all the others characters adds always a great vibe to the whole storie and can't wait to read Theo’s book.

Haven is a strong and an incredible FMC. Her whole life she is been through a lot and still fighting for her freedom. Her story was heartbreakingly sad but the connection and chemistry with Kai from the beginning was so beautiful. Kai is absolutely devoted to Haven and the way how they try to protect each other and willing to give up on everything for their love was incredible. Kai is always there for Haven and he is Havens safe place.
I can say Haven found everything what she always deserved and with Kai she is stronger than ever.

As these two find their way, I was completely invested in the journey, feeling the pain, the betrayal, the danger and the love and acceptance. It's a fabulous book and Emkey is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine!
Shiloh James and Nelson Hobbs are the narrators of this dark romance, and it could not have been better cast. James is Haven and she just understands her. Finding a voice that is defeated yet has hope, and makes her real. Hobbs is Kai, brave, a little crazy and full of passion. Each scene is gritty and dark, the perfect sound. These two together are the reason to I was glued as they told a story I couldn't get enough of.

I absolutely loved Kai & Haven, his little lamb!!! I was so excited for this release because I loved Devil’s Hunt so much and while reading it I could tell their story would be amazing & heart wrenching! I loved how the story in this book was weaved through the events of book one, it was nice to see both Kai & Haven’s perspective during different moments.

Haven Benson is such an awesome FMC, she’s literally been thru so many traumatic events throughout her entire life especially when it comes to her brother, Alex. Even after going thru everything she did she is so strong, resilient, bad@ss, & she overcomes so much! Kai is the definition of the perfect book boyfriend 🥰 He’s good looking, tatted, pierced & he would burn down the world for his little lamb! The chemistry & spice between these two….holy h3ll, so spicy!

I loved how we are given Haven right upfront! Her character has been through so much in her life, and the fact that she still shows she's not going to be pushed around is amazing. When all she wants is her freedom from the horror of her life.
Kai, the chaos that surrounds you! Oh my goodness!! How he is introduced is perfect. Kia has been just going with whatever The Brotherhood needs, and he could care less about the carnage he leaves behind him to get it done.
When they meet and begin to change for each other, it's so addictive to keep reading. From the moment they first start to really begin to feel and experience what each other has to offer, you want so much for them to just be together. But of course, that would be too easy.
The Collectors and The Brotherhood have so much history that can not be put aside. So how will they react to Kai and Haven? She's been helping them to ruin her family, The Collectors. Kai has started to change for Haven, the same way Archer changed for Mila. When Haven is the only one to help, will their relationship be accepted?
I highly recommend this book to those who have read book one, The Devil's Hunt. Also, for my fellow dark romance readers!! This is an addictive book to read. You won't put it down!!

The Devil‘s Chaos by El Emkey is Kai’s story and what a fantastic one it is. The Devils Chaos follows The Devil’s Hunt and these two stories and their fantastic characters are woven together perfectly. Each book is a standalone, but the reading experience and getting all the feels is intensified when read them in order.

Both, never thinking happiness was possible, find it together and are willing to set the world on fire to keep it.

💗Haven’s story has really hit the feels for me, what she has endured, her trauma, the way she sought to quell her loneliness, to have a found family of those who really cared about her. Their relationship is messy, complicated, forbidden, and all that your heart craves in a dark romance. I have loved it!
