Discover the Bestselling Morna’s Legacy Series Includes the first 3 novels in Morna’s Legacy Series, as well as the Christmas novella:

Love Beyond Time (Book 1): Nearly 400 years ago, the Conall clan and their people were murdered in a surprise attack, their castle burned to the ground. In centuries following, archaeologists searched the ruins looking for any evidence of who had caused the untimely demise of the powerful Scottish clan. Efforts were fruitless until a spell put in place by an ancient Conall ancestor finally began to work its magic...
When Bri accompanies her archaeologist mother on a dig in Scotland, they discover a spell room below the castle ruins, and Bri is transported back in time and suddenly married to the castle's ill-fated Laird. She must work to change the fate of his people, all while trying to find a way to return to her century. With each new day, Bri finds herself falling in love with her new husband. If she finds a spell to bring her home, will she use it? If she stays, will it ultimately mean her own death as well?

Love Beyond Reason (Book 2): It all started with a spell.
Arran Conall lives with the consequences of his foolishness daily, his mistakes guiding him into darkness. He had no way to know that his beloved would fall prey to ancient magic. Now, the only woman to ever give pause to his philandering ways lives centuries ahead of him while still holding on to his heart. Now, he must try to live without her and marries another.
His love for Blaire haunts him. With every breath, he prays that she will be able to feel his love across time...
Born in the seventeenth century, Blaire MacChristy lives each day adjusting to the challenges of modern life. Magic brought her here, but heartbreak keeps her from using the magic to travel back to her home. When visitors from her past arrive asking her to return to the life she’d known before, Blaire takes a chance on love. Will fate find a way to mend their broken hearts by bringing them together once again? Even if it does, will they be able to stop the darkness that is coming for them both?

A Conall Christmas: A Novella (Book 2.5): Christmas is approaching, and Adelle is determined to make it the best one Conall Castle has ever seen, but loneliness haunts her. Love for her daughter sent her into the past, but she’d not expected the isolation she would feel. She finds that her current age seems much older in the seventeenth century than it did in the twenty-first and resigns herself to the fact that she will remain single for the rest of her days. At least until an unexpected visitor arrives.
Hew Moray has spent the last twenty years all alone, only leaving his home once a year to pay homage to the wife he lost long ago. When a storm causes him to seek shelter at Conall Castle, he meets the first lass since his beloved Mae to make his heart flutter in his chest once again. Can he release himself from his past grief to allow another love to enter his life? If he does, will his love be returned?

Love Beyond Hope (Book 3): Mitsy is in serious need of a distraction. With the ink still drying on her divorce papers, she flies to Scotland to forget about her own problems by helping her best friend re-enter reality. She knows Bri’s claims that she is able to travel back in time and is currently living in the year 1647 are a lie but, Mitsy falls prey to the same magic and is forced to believe the impossible.
She finds few who understand her fiery personality in the seventeenth century, but she finds her match in Baodan, laird of McMillan Castle.

Bethany Claire is the USA Today Bestselling Author of the Scottish time travel romance novels in Morna’s Legacy Series.

Bethany’s love of storytelling has been a lifelong passion but, convinced it would serve her best to follow a “conventional” career path, she tucked that passion away and went off to college.

Fast forward four years and about six major changes later, she realized the stories simply were not going to stay tucked away. Months away from graduating with a degree in elementary education, she finally realized writing was the only career that would make her happy.

So one day in the middle of a summer education course, she got up in the middle of class and walked to the registrar’s office and withdrew from the university on the spot. Since then, she has devoted herself to writing full time and is following her dreams.

Poor grammar, cliche phrases, predictable and completely lacking in originality. I find myself rolling my eyes almost every page. While the premise is potentially interesting, author doesn't deliver and the above issues are to distracting. If you want a quick read and don't mind the cheesy romance, it's a fine set of books. As long as you aren't bothered by incorrect grammar and sentences like, "with an angry look on his face, he rushed in full of anger."

This series is somewhat similar to The Outlander series- time travel, Scotland and romance, however the depth of detail is not the same. However they are lightly entertaining.

Wonderful

I don't know how long it's been since I read such a wonderful series. The characters are so real as to seem alive. Each story leads perfectly into the next. I couldn't wait to read the next story and am sorry that it ends here. But I'm very glad that the next chapter is coming in the fall. This is one of the most unique time travel series I have ever read. Please continue writing. I look forward to more great books in the future. And I will be looking now to see if you have any others out there now.

I can't read it fast enough!!

I am IN LOVE with Bethany Claire's writing style and story line! He characters are true to real life in the way she explores all their faults and strength. Just enough romance but not raunchy. I can't wait for Book 7!

Love Beyond Time
4 Stars

I haven't read a time travel book in many years and I'm so very glad I decided to return to that genre with Bethany Claire's book one of a Scottish time travel romance series! My first read by this author and I am hooked! So much so that I went ahead and purchased all of the books in this series!

Honestly, I had this book on my TBR pile for a little over a year, I think. It was a free download, but I kept pushing it to the back burner, I totally regret that decision now. This book was so suspenseful and extremely engaging with every page I read and turned! It hooked me right from the beginning with its mystery, love and betrayals. I couldn't get enough. The writing was excellent with little to no grammatical errors.

Why only four stars, despite my complete fascination with this book?
Two reasons:
One: I didn't agree on what Arran and Blaire did behind Eoin's back. It was cruel and just fucked up, especially since all three characters are in fact good people. Eoin didn't deserve that betrayal. I understand the heart wants what it wants, you can't force your heart to fall in love, but they should have been honest with Eoin, maybe they could have came to a compromise or understanding. Though I will admit I was rooting for a way for Arran and Blaire to be together towards the end of the book, which brings me me to my second reason for my rating...it ends on a slight cliffhanger. While Bri and Eoin's story has been told in its full capacity, it ends with a Bri up to something and while I'm hoping it works out, I was left wanting with that hope. Had I decided not to purchase the rest of the books, I would have been sorely disappointed.

Overall, absolutely loved and cannot wait for the next one!

Love Beyond Reason
4 Stars

Sighs...it's nice to know that people in the 1600s acted like recalcitrant children who made stupid ass spur of the moment decisions, just like their modern day counterparts!

Another great addition, filled with tense situations that just add to all the suspense and nerve racking feelings all these devious plots make you feel!

Enjoyed it!!

A Conall Christmas
5 Stars

Such a cute and fast paced read! I'm glad Adele gets her HEA! As crazy and feisty as she is, she totally deserved it, as did Hew...loved it!

Love Beyond Hope
4.5 Stars

Oh my was this book extremely engaging! It most definitely left me on the edge of my seat with everything happening in Baodan's home!

Even in the 1600s, the whole instalove scenario gets on my nerves but I pushed past that quirky aspect of the book and just continued to enjoy the story. I didn't give it the full five stars because while I like Mitsy's straightforward nature, she is rather annoying throughout the first half of the book. She was loud, rude and obnoxious. It took me a minute to find something likable about her and thankfully eventually I did. She was so very loyal to the people she loved that she just became annoyingly stupid in her actions, but by the end of everything I think her character can endear the readers to her plight.

I'm curious to know how its going for E-o in the future!

This was simply okay. It was nothing special, nothing not special. I read the entire book one, but didn't have enough interest to read further into the box set. If time-travel is something you can't get enough of, along with hot highlanders, you might like it.

Where this book shined: the characters were likable. I wanted to see their HEA, and their romance was believable.

Where this book fell flat: world-building. This was a time-travel story, after all. So much could have been done to enrichen the atmosphere. Not a ton of detail is ever needed, but she had almost nothing. What did they wear? What did they eat (besides mystery meat)? Where was the castle located? I only knew it was on the coast because they went to a beach at one point. Then there is the magic, which was sort of a plot device rather than an essential factor to the world they lived in. It was not explained at all.

And most important of all, what were Bri's reactions to it all?

A Time Travel Winner

This set of novels was a wonderful adventure into the time travel genre. The characters- male and female - are all people you will fall in love with and root for them to have their happily ever after. The families involved, the Connellys, the Montgomerys and the McMillians are all loyal and loving and care about one another. If you read the synopsis of these books you will know what they are about, so no need to repeat the information. My review is to say that if you love reading about Scotland, including brawny Highlanders and the lovely lassies they fall-in love with, you will thoroughly enjoy the Morna legacy series. All the stories are stand alone, but I am sure that if the first book, Love Beyond Time, grabs you, you won’t stop reading until you are through the entire series. Happy reading!

If time-travel romance is your thing then this is the ideal boxset for you.
It is filled with adventure, mystery, betrayal, heart-stopping men and feisty women.
This series will take you from the present back to 1600, where you learn more about the Scottish way of life, customs and get lost inside the walls of castles and rolling hills.
When Bri was invited by her very independent mother to unravel a mystery it opened a brand new world to her she never thought to be real. This opened her and those closest to her on many adventures while learning to adapt to a new kind of living.
A feel-good time travel story that is well written with great plots.

I found this book very entertaining and well-put. For me, this is a better version of Outlander series. I have read Outlander it didn’t appeal me as much this book did.

So the storyline and relevance to details in the story are great and well-connected.
Stories are prolifically written with the supporting characters which become protagonists in the next few books.
The transition from one story to another without change in the pace and storyline is astoundingly appreciated by readers like me.

Love in Another Time

For those looking for love in all the wrong places, this is the book you want to read. When one has given up on the notion of romantic love these books will renew your faith in the possibility of love.
The strong female characters are evenly yoked with strong males who àrea not afraid of feminine power.

While the possibility of time travel may seem a bit impossible never forget that we have each had that feeling of dejavu at least once in our life.

Best Series I've Read in a While

I love the author's penchant for story telling. Read the first three books in 2 days. I think they're quite captivating. If you like the idea of time travel, you'll enjoy this series. Great story lines in each one with drama, humour, and romance. I love how the author keeps the characters of each book connected throughout. Can't wait to read the remaining books. So glad there are so many. I'll be sad when they'eventually come to an end.

What a grand group of books!!!!

Everyone of these books gives you a great story and when you finish the 4 books they only leave you wanting more. Take a trip back into the 1600 to meet a group of people that survive and thrive in their time... but add a group of women from 2012 and you have quite a story. Love spans the centuries.

These were fun, lighthearted romances, and I thoroughly enjoyed them, even if I felt that there should have been a bit more culture shock when these modern women went back to the seventeenth century.

This collection was a mastery of story telling. I loved all the quirky characters, the independence of them as well as the ability to see reasonably. I like the strength of the women and the vulnerability of the men. This was a fun read.

Time travel romances

Loved it so much, it's the 2nd time I've read it. I enjoy reading about modern-day females that are thrust into the past. Good storyline s for each book, with just enough adventure thrown in

Cute love stories. However, they would have been more complete, richer, had the concept of time travel shock (differences between the times) had been taken into consideration. As it is, the women have no adaptation to do which is not realistic. If you can get over that, they are good love stories.

I liked all the books! Sometimes it was too unrealistic, I mean, they all find love switching places in history... But it was funny and enjoyable and I liked the characters and their stories. And honestly Adelle was hilarious! And I loved her Christmas love. Good job!

Didn't work for me

I read all of them, but the series seemed to deteriorate more and more as it went. Morna is a good bit of a deus ex machina, relied on to fix things and know things. The first one was okay but after that...

I think this style/formula just isn't for me

They are continuous.

Very interesting stories. There are conflicts, love and adventures. The second story has some really evil people in it. The last one just has one really bad person. But they all have HEA'S with a story that you can read on to continue if you can afford them.

Great Scot!

What a great story as one gets weaved between today’s world in the US and the 17th century in Scotland! Time travel, romance, intertwined with drama, a delightful witch, and I love good endings so this series gets 5 stars from me. Getting ready to move on to read the next books in Bethany’s series!

Really enjoyed this book. I love highland history and this blend of history and modern day women. the idea of a witch from the past living in the present and using her knowledge to help those in both the past and the present is an interesting premise.
I highly recommend this author.
