C.R. Stewart received a Bachelor of Arts in British Literature and European History from Brown University; did post- graduate work at Harvard University; earned an MBA from Boston College; and is pursuing a Master of Science in Advanced Management and a PhD in Strategy.

I'm still reading because of the geography, history and culture that I am learning. I am certainly not reading because it's great literature. In this edition / episode I knew who the mole was immediately. There was one or two little plot twists that I didn't see coming, otherwise it's very predictable, very much the same unending chase scene.

Excellent adventure reading. Stewart makes the committee seem so real, it's right out of today's events. Can't wait for the next book.

This is the fourth book in the series, which takes Tom, Hunter, and Sarah to Poland and Russia on their adventure to meet the Britfields and to escape from the people after them. The relationships with all of the people in this book have been my favorite part of this series. Tom and Sarah's relationship, Oliver and Kate, and Fontaine and Gowerstone, all of these relationships throughout this book build on relationships from the first book to this book. While this wasn't my favorite book in the series, I will be picking up the new book when it comes out.

Book 4 of the Britfield saga, and as ever, you have to take a deep breath and buckle up for the ride. This time the fast-paced action takes place across various countries in Eastern Europe. We learn more about the over-arching story as we are propelled along at a fast rate, following Tom, Sarah and Hunter. The three main characters are growing up and evolving as they face challenge after challenge in the quest to meet the Britfield family.
However, I do have the same two criticisms as I have had with the previous three books in this series. The way guns are described is too specific and unnecessary to the story. Also, the children are British, so they would use British expressions (e.g. bin not trash can). Their parents are also British and would sign a letter mum and dad, not mom and dad. This seems quite picky but there is so much attention to detail throughout the book, it just seems out of place.
Those issues aside, this is a great series that will keep children engaged and wanting more. There are also some great messages throughout, such as how those in control use the Internet to take advantage of others.
It is rumoured that this series will also become a series of films, so get ahead of the game.

ROLLER COASTER ELEMENT ACHIEVED
C. R. Stewart successfully made reading this book feel like a roller coaster ride, alternating between intense action, interesting historical details, and character development.

His action was engaging and exciting. While some authors take the idea of intense action and go gory and graphic, Stewart did a good job staying away from that while keeping the story engaging.
Secondly, he included many historical details that developed the scenes where the action took place. He described landmarks, buildings, and historical artifacts. Traveling around places including Italy, Berlin, Krakow, Warsaw, St. Petersburg, and much more. In each place, Stewart described an important landmark such as a museum, train station, or town square.
Finally, the story was well planned to include character development. While switching from action to character development is hard to do, it made the book feel just like riding a roller coaster. The way the book is written, however, you can pause with every break to process what you just read. Or not, depending on your reading style. The development supported a brilliant plot with many elements, characters, and conflicts.
Overall, I would recommend this book for someone over the age of 10 who wants a fast paced, intense read with no language or sexual content. (there were a couple brief moments of sensuality, but with no intimate content) While you might be able to pick apart the book and find some minor editing errors, this book was exciting and well planned.
***Stewart, I am holding you accountable to releasing the 5th book, BRITFIELD AND THE LOST TREASURE, in 2027 as you promised at the end of your book***

Honestly, this book seemed exactly the same as all the other Britfields and somewhat redundant. Thought everything was gonna be tied up this time, but the series is still droning on with book 5 set to release in January of 2027. Not the finale we were hoping for, but at least Tom & Sarah finally got together! First 3 books are better though in my opinion.

This series is getting more and more preposterous as it goes along. (And the kids have been annoyed by the added couples in each book, and the fact that just about every girl/woman is described as a “natural beauty”. I admit I was rolling my eyes at those parts too!) I should have known it would be getting increasingly unbelievable after the *second* incident of hot air balloon piracy in book 2. I doubt I’ll read the 5th book…but please, please, for all the others reading this, let that be the end!

best book yet!!
Stewart does not disappoint. He weaves the realness of life, courage, and bravery into one exciting tale for the book lover of any age.
I began this book with my kids yesterday and couldn't help but secretly skip to the end.

Wow! The fourth book in this series continues to take you on an adventure of twists and turns. There’s not a calm moment, so be ready to be on the edge of your seat from start to finish!

It was a well written fourth book of the series. The book emphasized on character development more than anything, which made it interesting.
