A 3 book volume featuring the character Samantha Gunn from the highly popular Jake Noble espionage thriller series.
Did you think Samantha Gunn was dead at the end of Book 3? Think again!

A French policeman is determined to uncover her true identity and put Sam in jail. With two bullet wounds in her back, she can barely lift her legs but that won't stop Sam from leading an action packed wild chase through the streets of Paris, all the way to the Middle East in this pulse-pounding adrenaline fueled adventure that leads directly to book 8 in the Jake Noble series.
Don't miss this action filled thriller that finally returns Samantha Gunn to the Jake Noble universe. if you haven't read the first 3 books in the Jake Noble series, this book contains a number of spoilers!
"Jake Noble slots in nicely between the purely sensationalist and the super-sophisticated--right up there with Jack Reacher."
“I agree with other readers who have compared Miller's NEW HERO - Jake Noble to Mitch Rapp, Scot Harvath, and I would add Kyle Achilles and Sean Drummond.”
"Miller did it again... the ending is a home run"
"Utterly gripping..."
"A fast-paced espionage thriller."
"Grabs hold from the very first page and doesn't let go until the bullet-riddled, pulse pounding finale."
I admit, I missed Jake Noble. However, after reading the first few pages, I was intrigued and committed to author William Miller's new character, Samantha Gunn, in Gunn Work (A Jake Noble Military Thriller).
There was much discussion online about how we might imagine her character. A few notable names were floated about. Most of these were of recognizable women of action from hit movies. No surprise actresses such as Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jolie (Tomb Raider), Johansson, Theron, Jonavich, Thurman, Beckinsale, etc. I may have spent too much time dwelling on this before actually reading the book. Don't hate me. It was quite a list!
I decided to read the book without a preconceived image of the newly vetted Sam Gunn. I will add one spoiler. The author did not include any pictures.
Miller used a creative approach to bring the reader up to speed on Samantha Gunn. Intermingled with flashbacks of the rookie Gunn and an on assignment Gunn, the action kicks in quickly. We learn a lot about the person and the personal friend of the aforementioned Jake Noble.
Gunn Work is a fast-paced espionage thriller with very high stakes. Life or death are constantly on the line, especially innocent civilians. I enjoyed the book and look forward to a Noble-Gunn reunion if she can stay alive long enough. - Mr.Bill
Those of us who have enjoyed the Jake Noble series all have the same question: Whatever happened to Samantha Gunn? This book answers that question. She was presumed dead when she was shot and knocked off a barge on the Seine in Paris, but we know she was still alive in a hospital where she was being kept prisoner by the suspicious Paris police.
This book has two time periods, her escape from that hospital and her earlier training with the CIA. She somehow ends up in Israel working for a rogue Mossad officer. Plenty of action, but a little disappointing that Jake never appears in the story.
Whadda story! Suspended my belief. Sam Gunn is one heck of a broad. This was a killer diller of an action military thriller. I learned from Bati that Disney Land is in Florida, and Florida is known for oranges. Jake Noble has a friend, Mathew Burke (a relative of Amos and Peter Burke, perchance?).
catch back up with Sam Gunn after she shot and falls into the Seine
For those of you who know Sam from the Jake Noble novels, reacquaint yourself and find out what has happened to her since she hit the water! Nothing like being shot up and totally persona not grata to CIA and alone in France after a op gone wrong, bad wrong. Gunn Work starts there and goes……
This is the second book of another great series from this author. The books as in most series should be read in order. The story keeps the reader guessing and wanting more. I highly recommend this book and all other books from this author. I can’t wait for the next book.
