After four years of school, work, and raising her four younger siblings, she can handle pretty much anything. She’s even managed to carve out time for her boyfriend, Richie, and now that she’s graduated from high school, Aoife figures that things will only get easier.
Except, Richie’s making long term plans that Aoife doesn’t believe will ever be possible for her, their mom keeps disappearing, and the kids are growing out of all of their clothes.
When some neighbors call the police because her youngest brother can’t stay off the roof, it’s up to Aoife to convince her mom to play the doting parent. She’s sure that if they can convince the outside world that everything is fine, she’ll be able to keep all of her siblings safe with her.
She’ll do anything to keep them together. Even if it costs her everything.
Come meet the Kelly family before Cian “Wanker” Kelly found his way to the Aces MC… you may even recognize a few old friends.
This novella includes a strong heroine, an emotionally available hero, four annoying younger siblings, a getaway car, and plenty of spice.
Nicole Jacquelyn started writing before she started elementary school, however she didn’t start publishing her stories until her senior year in college. Today, she’s the author of the best selling Aces Series, Hawthornes Series, Fostering Love Series and Bouchers Series. She loves to read, drinks too much coffee, and lives in Oregon with the coolest children in the entire world and an English Bulldog named Blue.
Loved it even though it's the antithesis of the books I've been reading for a while. No romantic angst, no betrayal, no OW/OM drama and a young man that loved Aiofe and her siblings with his whole heart. The drama instead comes from the repugnant excuse for a mother.
Aiofe is a heroine I love reading about, strong, caring and thoughtful.
Should we be surprised that I cried with a book written by this awesome author? Nicole has the gift of making me feel the emotions of her characters and its almost as if I was there with them, sharing their highs and lows, the way this family was so tight knitted and the love they had for one another was amazing, and dont let me get started on the great man that Richie is, I love the a-hole ones and all the guys from the Aces are my favorite but Richie?...Richie is top tier. I am really excited for the next book and hopefully to see more glimpses of the Kelly family.
I absolutely LOVED this story. I adored all the characters, except mom of course. Steadfast was the perfect name for the book.
I love this author's world-building in all her MC books, and while this one only has a loose affiliation with the MC, I think we will see more of that in the future. And the world-building in this book was just as good as I have come to expect.
I'm really looking forward to more in this series.
I enjoyed this short story about the Kelly family. Oldest daughter Aoife, just having graduated high school,is trying to keep her family together after the death of her dad and her absent drunk mom. She takes care of her 4 younger siblings Cian, Saoirse, Ronan and Ashling with the help of her boyfriend Richie. This is a story of family and the struggles they go through. It is also the beginning of a new series. Yay! This book touched my heart in so many ways. Please get this. It is very good.
This book was so good and I could not put it down. I love how the daughter is pretty much the kids mother and she doesn't act like she's missing out on anything. The bonus scene has got me so excited for Myla's book. Read this book I promise you won't regret it
Nicole Jacquelyn has done it again. This novella gives us a peak into Cian’s beginnings. This family drama is such a real depiction of today’s unconventional family dynamics. Aoife is the glue that holds her family together. She is a modern day super woman. Read this now!
Nicole Jacquelyn writes about family dynamics better than any other author I've read. Hot and graphic sex scenes juxtapose nicely with sweet family moments.
This is a good introduction to what I hope is a new and lengthy series. I can't wait to see what fates await the younger Kelly family members
I was swept up into all that was the Kelly Family. While a different story, I got Shameless vibes, guessing it was the two elder siblings doing the parenting. I am so keen to read on with this new series!
I really like the Kelly family and can’t wait to read all their stories. I loved seeing Poet. It’s going to be an incredibly tear filled read when Nicole writes his death.
OMG, I loved this book and these characters and this family. I hope each one gets their own story (well, we know Cian does) because they are each wonderful and unique in their own way. This is not a full length book but there was a lot going on. I didn't want it to end but I was still very happy witht he ending...........and the sneak peak
