A young woman from Poland, Magda, is looking for a new life and moves to Ireland. She meets a wealthy Irish man, Matt, and after a whirlwind romance finds herself married and living in a beautiful big house on the outskirts of the city. But all isn't as it first appeared with her new husband and it isn't long before Magda starts to realise that instead of finding a fairytale she's found a nightmare.

About the author

Áine Uí Fhoghlú is from the Ring Gaeltacht in Waterford, Ireland. She is a poet, prose writer and secondary school teacher. She has published two collections of poetry, Aistear Aonair (Coiscéim, 1999), and An Liú sa Chuan (Coiscéim, 2007) as well as a short novel for adult Irish-language learners, Crúba na Cinniúna (Coiscéim, 2009).
