Tarot began as a card game, alchemically transformed into a species of divination (with its own manufactured–and inaccurate–lore as Egyptian mystery) and now exists as something of a spiritual & psychological mirror. We gaze and see even if from the depths of a shadow. Arcana: Poems of the Tarot is a book which meditates upon the cards, uncovering sparks from the seemingly cold ashes of an arcane tradition. It is first and foremost a spiritual work which begins in lament and concludes in rapture. It is a collection of poems that prioritizes imagery and sound but not at the expense of meditation. For some it may serve only as a work of literary art, for others it might itself become a guide. Whatever one wishes, it is a collection that demands attention.
