There's something intelligent here about expectation versus reality and Man's continued attempts at civilization failing due to his destructive nature...but I'm not sure we need to touch on women shoving live frogs into their vaginas and other bizarre inclusions to demonstrate these things. Still, this is a beautifully translated work. I can only imagine how the original French reads.
