So excited to receive the ARC of Hugh! Book One in Harper Michaels Grumpy Mountain Men series.

"Yes, I’m that girl. I surround myself with book boyfriends, so I don’t have to deal with men in real life. Have you seen the men out there lately? I’m much better off." PREACH!!!!!

It's official I need to spend more time in bookstores looking for my real-life book boyfriend.

"She clears her throat. “Find anything you like, Hugh?” You is what I want to say." Just died from fangirl overdose 🤧, ugh it's only page 10 and I love this book.

This was an enjoyable read, I loved Hugh and Belle. I need more from this story and I hope we get it.

I have only recently started with reading retellings, and I've struggled because I didn't grow up watching/reading the original stories. I know the basics, but I'm not overly familiar. It makes it difficult to read a lengthy book, which is why I was excited to find that Harper Michaels (whose work i already love) wrote this Beauty and the Beast retelling novella. Plus, I absolutely 🫠🥵 for a grumpy mountain man. I absolutely enjoyed this story and can't wait for more!

Need a quick steamy read? This is it. Short, sweet and to the point. Hugh and Belle are a whirlwind romance where two people can't seem to get enough of each other even if it's taken Hugh a while to get up the nerve to ask her out for a date. Once they have the date it's done for, he is hooked. Well, he was already hooked and that's why he was always going to her book store. Just simply to see her. Belle was always attracted to Hugh, but didn't think that she would have a chance with the male.

Hugh by Harper Michaels is the story of Hugh and Bella. She’s a shy wallflower who has had a crush on him forever. He is similarly interested, but neither think the other is a possibility. This was a fast, sweet story that gave me plenty of warm fuzzies in my heart! Both of these characters are wonderful and endearing. Great, fast read!!

This is a super sweet, fast read! Belle is the bookstore owner in a small mountain town, and Hugh is a gruff mountain man. The two are quite opposite, but their chemistry just works! I love that they gave things a chance.
