3.5 stars. Ok. So I had time to think about this book. I still stand by having the book feeling a little unfinished because of Dark hanging over like a dark cloud. I'm guessing Bink will come back to him later, and he'll get another book. But Sunshine... This man had me swooning. He was perfection seriously. I loved him. And because Kali had such a shitty start with Dark, Sunshine did not let us down. Was I upset he lied to Kali about Dark's nefarious other life? The answer is no. He was protecting her heart because he loved her so much. He stayed celibate for 9 freaking years for her. While watching her with other men. Which made me sad because so many wasted years. These two should have been together from the beginning, but I guess him being old enough to be her father, and Dark swooping in had him holding off. But he did warn Dark if he fucked up he would be there. And he was. You will continue to dislike Dark here because he acted like the biggest man child I've ever seen. Do I believe he loved Kali? I do. But he wasn't her one. Unfortunately his eldest son Tarek seems to be taking after his father. We learn Dark's mother was like this. She had constant other lovers making it seem Sunshine wasn't enough for her. So in my opinion Dark growing up this way without a mother. Looking at club brothers messing around all the time set him up for failure. Hopefully he'll get his shit together in the future and the perfect woman will knock him on his ass. Literally. The whole storyline for Kali was a bit OTT with her mom and the club specifically targeting sex traffickers with covert operations using ex trafficked women. Which Dark played a big role there with his other side as Mr. Billionaire. Sunshine was a "cleaner." I'm sure you can guess the meaning. Kali lived up to her name and was serving life and death every which way for the club. The queen of poison. We find out about the stalking and where it originated from. Overall I liked these books well enough. Did I have a rough start because of the first book? I absolutely did. I'm sure other's will have questions like I did, but we'll be getting future books with this series.

The writing is engaging and the first book was pretty good - with Dark loving the FMC, despite all his bonehead moves. It is a bit of an incestuous love triangle and although I tried to get the ewww out of my head for the situation (she gets actively involved with the ex father in law), I had a hard time getting past it, especially with the build up of how much Dark (the son and ex husband, with whom she has two grown sons), loves her. He cheated numerous times with different women during his work for the the MC club to save women who are being sold on the slave market but doesn't care about any of them. He only loves her. If you're going to drop him like a hot potato, then don't make us love him (and him with her) so much in book 1. It was hard to switch gears. Yes, he was a moron. I'm a sucker for undying obsessive love, despite all his stupid moves. I skimmed the last 40 percent of book 2. Once it was obvious who she'd end up with, I didn't have much interest to read any more. Plus their sadistic sex games were a bit too much for me.
So - overall a good duet but I was team "the other guy", so hence the 3 star rating.
The first book left me needing more Sunshine. This book delivered. After the first book I wasn’t sure how I wanted the second to go. This book gave me everything I didn’t know I wanted.
I love that it isn’t a typical story with typical characters. It’s so much more than your run of the mill MC story. Bink is the only author I will read absolutely anything she writes, even if it isn’t my preferred flavor.
It’s finally hereeeee and I just consumed every bit of it in just one sitting. Dark & Deceitful put me through the wringer with that cliffhanger and Sunshine & Sinful was the therapy that made me whole again. I have been counting down the days for this book because I had so many questions and now I have all my answers. This story was everything I needed and I truly fell in love with the main two characters all over again.
For four months, Kali has tried everything to stay away and not think about the two main men in her life who broke her heart. She has continued her life, started dating, and ignored Sunshine and Dark like the plague. But what happens when they both come back to town and decide that she’s in trouble and that they will never let her go?
I have been going back and forth on how this story was going to conclude but honestly, I couldn’t be happier. Kali has her heart broken but she stays strong and she puts one foot forward. She continues to take up for herself and lets them know when they’re wrong. Sunshine is a big old teddy bear that I’d love to hold. There is just something about him that makes me love him so much. He is so protective and caring. He will do anything and everything for Kali. I just love them so much.
Sunshine and Sinful was everything I needed after Dark & Deceitful left me speechless. I ate this book up and I’m so sad it’s over now. If you haven’t read Dark & Deceitful then I highly recommend checking it out and then this one!
Phew! Oh my goodness! After reading the first in this duet/ series I thought this book would be TOTALLY different. Just my point of view. BUT …..
This was a complete 180 from my thoughts. And I am NOT complaining. I loved every word of this book and its previous one
Bunk Cummings knows her stuff! Whether from experience or research this author is totally legit!!!
Her characters are well defined in all aspects. This reader could visualize what each character looks like by her descriptions. The places, the bar, the apartments, Kali’s house etc. close your eyes and you can picture it. This is the cherry on top for me. All about the details.
The tension between characters can be felt, the joking and smiles again can be felt. It also had the ability to tick me off. Dark needs a spanking and I don’t mean the good kind!!!
Todd was a surprise and fitting actions. The epilogues were intense and funny.
Thank you so much Bink Cummings for all your words. And for creating this wonderful world between the pages. Wish I could live there.
I am so in love with this whole Sacred Sinner world… OG member or nomad it doesn’t matter…I love them all. I for sure for sure went I to this book praying I was going to get a Dark Sunshine Kali throple but am so angry at Dark that I’m thrilled with the outcome. With that being said, I do love Dark and want him happy so can we make it happen?
Kali is a bada$$ and Sunshine is her perfect partner in life, in crime, in any and everything. There is so much in this story that needs elaborating on so I’m hoping for lots more books - like gimme Lace and Fog / gimme Dark and who ever tames him / gimme Tarek and his ladies and boy oh boy I can’t wait for Sola and her story (Necro).
One of the favorite things is all the crossovers - makes reading these books so much more exciting and makes me so vested in all the characters!
This was the perfect ending to this duet! You must read Dark & Deceitful before reading this one. We left off on book one with Kali learning exactly the type of man Dark is and all the devious things he’s done, She was devastated and hurt. And can I just say I want to punch Dark? Ugh that man makes me want to drop kick him. She was far too lenient IMO. But anyways, lol, in this book Kali heals a little bit and we get to have Sunshine’s POV. That man is perfection! He was just biding his time. Their relationship is so sweet, which we kinda got the jist of in the last book. And Kali is one bada$$ b!tch! I loved that these aren’t typical MC romance books. And that Bink sometimes talks to you, the reader, which makes it so much more engaging. Her writing is easy to follow and I loved the story.
Oh my You start to fall for Sunshine in the first book but you fall head over heels for him in this book....oh my major swoon. And Miss Lily oh I love that little girl and you find out what love really means when you love someone that you shouldn't and what you would do to protect them....I had to promise no spoliers
This is book two in the duet featuring Dark, Kali and Sunshine. I was excited for this second book because I liked Kali and her guys Dark, Angel, and Sunshine. Kali was a refreshing lead female character because she was smart, determined, owned her body image, and loved adult fun times with no guilt. What I did not expect was the author to change this storyline so much from book one, that I purchased. Don’t get me wrong I did enjoyed this book, but not as much as the first one. I liked all three of the main characters and had no problems with them or the roles. Dark did his job, and no he was not honest with Kali about the requirements for said undercover work, which was not right. However, their club Sacred Sinners MC and their job are about saving trafficked people (women and male/female children). All the characters had to play their own roles when undercover and all the characters, not the victims, were so free and open with their bodies and adult activities. So I was disappointed with the direction that this second book took plus the stance against Dark and that he was not celebrated for all that he has done to save lives. I felt that only Kali had the right to be angry and give him grief about the revelations not Sunshine and definitely not his MC brothers because they knew who Dark was from the beginning. Dark, true to his character, will always want more than one woman; so own it and give the women the choice to accept that lifestyle. I wish that we got a glimpse more into Abby and how that really came into play. Again, I enjoyed this second book but was disappointed that it did not give more details about what caused Dark’s choices. There are several epilogues and a happy ending for only two of the characters- don’t want to give away all the information. Read On!
This book picks up 4 months after Dark & Deceitful.
Kali is done. She’s hurt, lonely and sad. Even though she’s trying to go on with her life, how do you do that when the people that have been your home, your family for so long completely betray you? You do it the best way you can.
Kali is trying to push Sunshine and Dark out of her life. She ignores the messages they send, she starts to day a dentist who is a complete opposite of everything that they are and she has Lily, who always brings her happiness.
Sunshine made me complete swoon. He has been in love with Kali for a very long time but he’s always put his feelings last when it comes to Kali and her happiness. He just made sure he was there for her whenever she needed him or someone.
These two have had chemistry from the moment they met in that nursing home. Their spark has been ignored, suppressed and overlooked but not anymore. Sunshine makes it known that he’s all in for Kali, he won’t make the same mistakes as before, he won’t lie or keep things from her for Dark anymore, he wants to come home. And she is home, just as he is her home.
I was completely captivated by Sunshine and Kali. I love their chemistry, banter, relationship and shenanigans. The understanding and love that they both share for each other is what we all want in life.
The only thing that I wish these two had a chance at is being parents together. I would have loved a late in love surprise pregnancy for these two. It’s a shame they don’t get that happily ever after but I do understand with the ages. It’s just the romantic in me that wants it.
Bink has delievered another delicious mc romance with spice, romance and danger. Bring on Property of Necro.
The first book in this series is about Dark the first husband of the h. Strangely he was barely in the first book. This book is the climax of what she finds out at the end of the first book.
We never learn the relationship the exH has with his baby momma. We know the h excepts and loveS the child from the cheating H but that’s it. The h just can’t get over the fact that the H cheated on her as a job for his MC. But what did she do in the last book…that’s right she slept with exH knowing he has his baby momma at home for the club. WTH double standard much. This book is all about her relationship progression with the exH father, yes her ex father in law. A lot of inner monologue. I will read the book with the exH if this author writes it but I won’t have high expectations.

Ok, Sunshine is the focus of this one, hence the title.
SPOILERS I’m so turned off by Dark that I could care less what happens to him. He’s a loser. Sunshine turns out to be a pain slut and can’t orgasm without it. Dark has yet another wife that he married under his alias, before he met Abby. This man can’t be loyal to any female apparently. Another stalker shows up but he’s obsessed.
This is just a huge mess. Too much weird stuff happening and it’s just too OTT.
Not sure I’ll keep going with this series…
I pre-ordered too long ago so no refunds available.
Everyone needs a bit of Sunshine in their life, and this is the second book telling what happens to the Sunshine, and Dark, in Kali's life.
This book really puts my feelings through the wringer. I keep switching between love and hate, anger and happiness, joy and sadness. But through it all, I love Kali and how she stands firm in her beliefs.
To say anything else will spoil everything, and I've promised not to do that. So take a leap of faith into this book. You won't be disappointed.
This book was deeply disturbing and nasty! And for the people applauding this mess , something is wrong with all y’all and the author. It’s just sick, sick, sick!!
Book 2 was WAAAY better than Book 1. I’m so glad I decided to read it because I really wasn’t sure. I absolutely LOATHED Dark in the first book and still do. I honestly hope in some future book that he dies. I hate him that much. Pretty good author to make me want to murder a fictional character.
In fact, I would have been fine with Book 1 being a short novella just to introduce us to the characters and Book 2 being the real story. I felt like Book 1 was too much filler.
Book 2 opens with Kali not having talked to Dark or Sunshine in 4 months. They call and text her everyday and she doesn’t respond. She’s also dating a boring new guy, a dentist she met at the bar. Dark also granted Kali the divorce after she filed for the SIXTH time.
We also get to learn more about Kali’s past. Her mother attracted people and men like flies, kind of like Kali does. The author almost puts a paranormal spin on it. Like there’s just something about these women that every man in the world is drawn to but her mother actually hated men. In fact, her and Kali would travel around the world learning about medicinal plants and would test them on men. Basically, they were serial killers. They’d poison (bad men mostly?) men just to see the reactions they got.
That’s how Kali got where she is today, she grows and creates unique poisons and ways to kill people. She’s a murderess.
Her sons call her asking her to talk to Dark because since Kali isn’t talking to him, he hasn’t gone home to see Abby or Lily either. She reiterates that this isn’t her problem but apparently Abby isn’t taking care of Lily like she should and is acting suicidal. Why is it her problem to console her husband’s affair partner? Rolling my eyes.
Kali is acting touch but she’s very down and depressed about Dark and Sunshine. Her entire foundation is rocked. She’s been floating through life these past few months. She’s consoled by her “sisters” (the women they save) until one night she comes in and Sunshine has broken into her house, he’s practically crying and begging her to talk to him. Dark shows up and drags Sunshine out and they both go to Abby’s.
Kali is also still half raising Lily. Kali goes out on a date with her new boring boyfriend Todd. While he’s on the date, Dark and Sunshine show up and ruin it. All three men get into a fight and Kali takes off. Sunshine follows her home, strips her naked and they both go to sleep together in her bed talking about how much they’ve missed this.
In the morning, we get a seriously weird scene of them kind of kissing and smelling breakfast while Dark and Lily are downstairs. For the first time, Sunshine enters Kali once and just sits there freezing then gets up and takes off into the shower.
When they all sit down to talk, Dark reiterates that he cheats. He admits he still cheats on Abby and has even since their mission on the yacht. And no Abby doesn’t know. He doesn’t care about her while she cries herself to sleep over him. Kali tells him he’s a POS and should tell her or leave her. Not sure why she even cares. It’s annoying. Dark tries to say he has to cheat while he’s Maxim. It’s part of the persona and lifestyle. Kali says Maxim and Dark have become the same person.
They both finally tell Kali that her boyfriend Todd isn’t who he seems. He’s another stalker sent on a mission to scout Kali. They think they’ve finally figured out after TEN MOTHERFLUFFING years that ONE person is behind all of Kali’s stalkers and keeps sending them after her. They think she’s been made after one of her jobs and there’s someone out there obsessed with her and what she can do with plants.
Later that day, Sunshine and Kali finally have sex for the first time. It’s hot and weird. Like he just “stares” at her core for a long length of time. He can also, despite his age, fuck for hours straight never losing his hard one because it’s hard for him to come. So Kali gets like I don’t know a fake amount of orgasms until she passes out. He also asks Kali to marry him. Kali keeps thinking Sunshine and his cock are her home. She’s finally happy.
We get Sunshine’s point of view that basically he’s always loved Kali. Not in a dirty way when she as a teenager but he fell in love with her about 15 years ago and always knew his son would fuck up and hurt her but he couldn’t disrespect their relationship until Dark actually fucked up. When Dark cheated on Kali and brought another woman home almost 9 years ago now, he decided all bets were off and Kali was his. Sunshine HAS BEEN CELIBATE FOR 9 YEARS. YAAAY! NO CHEATING DOUCHEBAG DADDY HERE! The minute Dark gave in and signed divorce papers, Sunshine knew he’d make Kali his.
Everybody BUT Dark are happy for them and saw this coming. They think Sunshine is the better guy. Kali goes out on a date with Todd again to spy on him. Sunshine shows up and calls Todd by his real name (Anthony) and they kidnap Anthony/Todd back to his place to question him.
Kali finds a literal shrine of her with hundreds upon hundreds of videos and photographs of her in Todd/Anthony’s attic. He’s been behind every hired stalker falling in love with her more and more (she’s nauseous she slept with another stalker) because he was HIRED TO DO THIS FOR TEN YEARS.
BY GUESS WHO?? DARK’S OTHER MOTHERFUCKING WIFE. DARK/MAXIM IS MARRIED TO ANOTHER WOMAN AND HAS BEEN FOR TEN YEARS. On top of Kali. On top of Abby. Apparently, she’s a psycho bitch because she’s killed women in Dark’s past before and wanted to scare/kill Kali all this time. Dark says he warned her if she ever goes after Kali, he’d kill her but she just laughs him off because her father is a high-profile millionaire with a ton of connections. She tells Dark she’ll kill Abby and Lily if Dark doesn’t “come home soon” to her.
To me, this is a huge plot buster. How does Maxim Drake’s wife know about Dark’s family, kids and previous wife if the entire point of him having a fake identify as Maxim, a millionaire businessman who peddles flesh, is so people don’t know who Dark as a Sacred Sinner undercover MC guy is?
Dark also finds out Kali and Sunshine are together and loses his shit. Even cries a little. Give me a break. So Sunshine and Kali go into the bathroom of now dead Todd/Anthony’s house and have incredibly loud anal sex for two hours straight while Dark and now Angel are cleaning up the dead body.
Sunshine and Kali have sex a lot. So much so she has to make poultice’s to put on her swollen lady parts. Penelope, Dark’s other wife sends her a gift basket. Sunshine and Kali have more sex. We meet one of the rescued “sisters” Sola who is going on another mission courtesy of Dark (author is setting up the next book) in which she’s supposed to be sold to a group of 5 men. Kali hooks her up with poison chocolates and tea just in case.
Sunshine and Kali reminisce about all the times he’s cleaned up her dead bodies. He and Dark make sure Todd/Anthony’s house is clean of Kali’s shrine so he can’t be linked back to her. Dark tells his father he’s leaving for awhile and isn’t sure if he’ll ever come back. He’s ditching Abby and his daughter Lily. He’s going to try and go be with Penelope for a while “because she’s the only one left.” He’s still bitter about Kali x Sunshine. Sunshine reflects that he loves his son but he’s a bitter selfish man that really only loved Kali for the attention she gave him.
Epilogue – Kali has Sunshine’s name tattooed on her inner thigh and they get married. They both get wedding tattoos. Sunshine admits Kali is the only woman he’s ever actually loved. Kali says Sunshine isn’t the first but he’ll be the last. He also has Kali’s name branded on him. Branded.
He also shows her where he took all her stalker’s bodies, had them ground up then made special soil for Kali’s Garden and plants for her.
You guys! He literally fed her garden for years with the literal blood of her enemies. Swwoooon.
He also hints that no matter what Dark says, there will be revenge on Penelope.
Epilogue 2 – Kali committing another messy murder and saving a few men and women that were being raped at a sex party. She accidentally overdosed them on the wine and it’s a literal mess. Sunshine comes in to clean up after her and they bang. It’s their 6 month anniversary and they’re head over heels for each other. Lots of graphic sex.
Book ends saying Kali x Colton (Sunshine). A murderess and her handsome cleaner.

This second book picks up a couple of months after the explosive ending of book one, and it really is a direct continuation. At the end of the first book, Callie walked away from both Dark and Sunshine, telling them she was done. And honestly? I believed her. So when this book starts, she’s been keeping her distance. She hasn’t spoken to either of them for months. Dark signs the divorce papers at last, and that frees everything up.
Instead, she’s casually dating Todd — a completely normal, non-biker man. Nothing toxic, nothing dramatic. Just… normal. And it actually suited her. Meanwhile Dark has been off on another club job for months. Abby is mentioned again, but still never appears on-page, which continues to be its own mystery. Lily, as always, is glued to Callie like she’s her second mother.
But the calm doesn’t last long. Sunshine and Dark eventually discover that Todd isn’t Todd at all — he’s actually Anthony, a stalker hired to follow Callie. And when they uncover the truth, it spirals into full OTT thriller mode: Anthony has covered his entire home with photos of Callie. Walls, ceiling, everything. It’s obsessive and unhinged.
When Callie confronts them about who hired him, the bomb drops: Penelope. And Penelope isn’t just some random jealous woman. She’s the wife of Maxim — Dark’s undercover persona. Meaning Dark legally married this woman as part of a job before Abby ever came into the picture. And apparently Penelope has a pattern of harming or killing the women Maxim gets involved with. This revelation just highlights again how deep and messy Dark’s MC role is, and how much of his “cheating” wasn’t emotional infidelity — just the fallout of the life he lived.
But what’s interesting is Callie’s reaction. She’s not shattered. She’s not destroyed. I genuinely don’t think she’s in love with Dark anymore — not in that way. She’s disappointed, hurt at the wasted years, but she feels more… detached. Like he’s simply not her person anymore. And honestly, I think that’s the most realistic direction the author could have taken.
Sunshine doesn’t waste a second. The moment Callie is officially divorced, he moves in — emotionally and literally. Their relationship becomes official, and very quickly turns committed. The progression is fast, but in the context of MC culture and who Sunshine is as a character, it makes sense. They explore each other emotionally and sexually, and it’s written in a way that feels mature, messy, consensual, and age-appropriate for a woman in her 40s and a significantly older man.
Dark’s arc in this book is surprisingly vulnerable. He has moments of shouting, grief, breakdowns, even tears — and it becomes clear that while Dark did truly love Callie, he never knew how to love her the right way. His upbringing, his jobs, his constant absence, the secret marriages, the sleeping with women for work — all of it shaped a man who simply never learned how to build a healthy, honest relationship. Sunshine is blunt about it: Dark doesn’t know how to be alone, and he doesn’t know how to love someone in a way that lasts. But his heartbreak is real.
One thing that hits hard is Callie admitting the worst part: Dark knew from day one that if he married her, he’d still have to sleep with other women for the club. He knew, and he let her build a life on a foundation he knew would collapse. That’s the wound that never healed.
By the ending, Callie and Sunshine are married. Their epilogue (six months later) is surprisingly sweet and steady. Sunshine is fully devoted to her, and she seems genuinely happy. Dark has left Abby — at Callie’s urging — because she tells him he needs to give Abby a chance to have a life of her own instead of dragging her along like a shadow of another assignment. And by the end, Dark has taken off again on a job, this time with one of the women Callie helped rescue.
This book is definitely mellower than the first — less chaotic, more transitional — but it ties everything together in a satisfying way. The spicy scenes were great, and I honestly loved seeing a romance between older characters portrayed realistically. Sunshine is an old man (we’re not given an exact age, but it’s definitely senior-range), and Callie is in her 40s. It works. Their connection works.
I didn’t enjoy this as much as book one, but I still liked it. The tone felt right for where the story needed to go. And even though it isn’t perfect, I’m genuinely curious about the side characters. I’ll definitely be checking out the other books in the series — especially if we get deeper stories about the other MC members or the women Callie works with.

Saddle up (MC style) for the second book on the duet to see what happens in the Kali, Dark and Sunshine love triangle.
I continue to be surprised by Bink Cummings’ books as these are pretty much outside what I usually read. I enjoy the mix of suspense, thriller and absolute edgey romance that we saw here. Sure this duet might be considered as skirting around the ick given Sunshine found Kali as a teen, and she went on to marry Sunshine’s son Dark, but there’s a whole lot of water under that bridge now.
We see Kali still working in the same fields - a strong, though spiritual woman with an interest in alternative ‘medicine’, a kind step-mother, and an advocate for the women she works with. She has a strong network of female friends, and they provide a great backdrop for this story, and future stories hopefully. We didn’t see Kali’s sons this time, but there’s more Dark and his escapades. Just when you think he’s hit an all time low …. Wrong, Dark can go lower.
Sunshine and Kali are that destined couple and we see in this book, it might not be all roses and not everyone’s idea of a partnership, but it absolutely works for them and I would not change a thing about them. It’s a huge plus also that we are reading a romance about a woman in her 40s who is the type of woman Kali is. A love that’s angsty and full of yearning but at the same time without regret or apology.
Can absolutely recommend.
And yes, the steam is steamy (in case you’re wondering) but this relationship has some points of difference, which I really liked.
Thanks to Bink for sending me an early copy to read.
• About the Book • ✿ POV: dual ✿ Couple: Sunshine & Kali ✿ 3rd Act Breakup: no ✿ Tropes: age gap, ex’s dad, MC romance, touch her and die, witchy heroine ✿ Trigger warnings: yes
• Thoughts • This was a great conclusion to Kali and Sunshine’s story! I’ had a lot of questions at the end of book one, but this book answered all of them. I absolutely adored Sunshine and Kali. In particular, I loved how obsessed Sunshine was with her. How he’d done everything in his power to make sure she had a good and happy life where she did not have to rely on anyone. These two were such magnets towards each other, and always knew when the other was near. I also loved Kali and her witchy ways as Sunshine calls them. I also admired how she did not forgive and forget so quickly or easily after the events of book one. All in all, I really enjoyed this novel, and it made for a great conclusion to the duet!
“Dark and Deceitful” left me wanting more. Kali discovers the truth from her ex, Dark, and his father, Sunshine. Book 2 picks up with Kali moving forward without the two men who have been an integral part of her life, Todd. Todd appears to be a safe choice to date for Kali and the opposite of Dark and Sunshine, but Kali’s spidey scenes start percolating. In addition, Sunshine and Dark will not leave Kali alone.
I’ve been Team Sunshine since Book 1, and it has remained strong throughout Book 2. There is not one dull moment in this series. I loved the underlying plots of MC going undercover, Sunshine’s position of disposal, Dark and Kali’s issues, and Sunshine and Kali’s relationship.
Bink wrote great, spicy scenes between Sunshine and Kali. I loved their communication and appreciated their “clean-up” afterward, which was written in a scene.
The epilogue was likely one of the best I’ve read. I found it quite touching with some darkness to it. I enjoyed how Book 2 came to an end.
I have been on tenterhooks waiting for this continuation of the Sacred Sinners MC : Nomads follow-up after such a gut wrenching ending to Dark and Deceitful. And boy did Bink deliver!
Kali is left bereft after sine heartbreaking truths come to life. We are witness to the visceral pain past revelations have made to her heart. But Kali is the epitome of strength and grace, as she once more finds her footing in this new normal. It painful watching her suffer but it’s euphoric watching her soar.
I love that this was a story centered around a woman in her 40s and a later in life relationship. It is a much needed representation within the romance world and cane even more sensual when done right. This story is filled with quiet longing, unquenchable desire and enduring love. Kali’s story is evocative and heart-racing, and I can urge you enough to check out this duet and this installment when it releases on March 5th. You do need to read book one to get the scope and emotional roller coaster that Bink takes you on.
As always, please check content warnings as some topics may be triggering.
You know, I don't know if I want to rate it a 3.75 or 4 star lol. I did really enjoyed the story, but I wanted/hoped for more high stakes? I definitely felt the stalking should have been more prolonged and honestly....dark AF. The vibes were sooo there; the attic room being filled with pictures of her and the stuffed up tissues and such, but there wasn't really any....build up to the that serious kind of stalking, you know? Like set the scene, slowly build that stalker Anthony/Todd that makes us feel, wow that guy is a creep (Wow i finally found words what I was looking for lol, dumb brain of mine.)
The mention of Penelope (I already forgotten her name, but Dark's other wife)....I expected more scenes with her for some reason. Like we get a snippet of her, but then it just gets blows under. I would have to see more of her unhinged 'crazy' episodes before trying to finish the story
I will say though...The spice, THE SPICE WAS EVERYTHING AND I ATE THAT SHIH UP. Which is probably why I can't decide how to rate it. (Can you tell what I care about more? lol)
Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC. Even though my review is honest and true, I wish them the best of luck! (I will probably continue reading their books)

Absolutely loved this book! I devoured it! Couldn’t put it down! Dark & Deceitful is book one, make sure you read that first. Sunshine - I love him! Everyone needs a sunshine in their lives! This book gave me all the feels! Kali - she is amazingly strong! The characters are brilliant. Some parts made me laugh out loud. Definitely an emotional rollercoaster!

After the last book with Kali finding out the truth about all of the secrets, I wasn’t sure how she was going to move forward. And yet again this author does a great job of navigating the reader thru the emotions and feelings of how a person proceeds after the shock of a situation. What fun it was to see how everything was resolved!!!
Truly enjoyed these books as my favorites tend to be about those from the Mother chapter. That is how I ran across this author initially with Big’s story!!! And now Sunshine!!!! How can you not love this guy!
I went in reading this book wondering if what I thought would happen would actually happen and bink never disappointed. It went the way I had hoped and wanted. But it did leave me wondering what will happen to Dark? Even though he cheated and hurt kali I still felt something for him. Would love to read more about their( kali and dark) past when they met and married and also about what happens to Dark when he left?
Gahhhh! This surpassed all expectations! I'm a seasoned Bink reader so I knew it would be good, and it still blew my mind. The plot twists, the characters, the emotions. All of it, so good.
I found it perfectly enjoyable and yet also wildly disappointing. I thought the characters were portrayed well and the story was well written. What was disappointing was the lack of consequences for Dark. He just gets to ride off feeling sorry for himself? F*** that noise.
Oh my god I loved this book so much.. the MC that finally gets a hea with Kali is just everything I never knew I wanted and he loves her so much.. soooo much! Once again Bink has given me a book that makes me cry, furious and giddy. P.s. the bonus epilogues?? Oh my lord!! Chefs kiss
Another great read. Be advised of a lot of death, cleanup of bodies, stalking, revenge, human trafficking, & father/ son love of one woman. Keeps you invested in staying connected till the conclusion. (Reviewed by Lin)
