What can I say, five hundred fan-freakin-tastic stars for this one from WS Greer. If you haven’t read Claiming Carter ~ Book One of The Carter Series you are truly missing out. Becoming Carter is the follow-up to Kelvin and Lily’s story. It follows the lives of Kelvin Carter Jr, Lily, and his crazy-ass mob family. What do you get when you combine love and the mob? Drama, suspense, and some hot sex!
There is so much going on in this book it made my head spin… in a really good way. I was drawn in from the first sentence of the book. Author WS Greer writes his characters with such emotion and makes them so real and down to earth you feel like you are a part of the story. It is hot, sexy, scary, mysterious, drama filled, action packed… it is so much all in one! There were so many time as I was reading this book that my heart literally dropped to my stomach, I got goose bumps from Kelvin and Lily’s sex scenes, and sat on the edge of my chair from the suspense and drama.
The growth of the characters is unreal, WS brings life to his characters with such excellence, and it is amazing to see the difference from book one to book two. Kelvin is finally coming into his own and becoming the badass we all knew he could be and Lily, she is one of my new female leads. When she decides to go in, she really goes ALL IN for her man. And then there is Senior, hmmm, all I can say is WOW.
The twists and turns in this book are unexpected and will make you feel like you’ve been on a rollercoaster ride. When I finish a book and think “damn, did that really just go down that way?” I know it is a good one. I was so keyed up while reading this book… I wanted to shout from the roof tops about it. I was completely emotionally drained with the biggest book hangover at the end. If you looking for a book that has it all, Becoming Carter is the book you need to read. Can’t wait to see what Mr. Greer has planned for book three.

If there is one word I could use to describe Becoming Carter, it would be AMAZING!!!
Let me just say that I loved Claiming Carter (that's the first book in the series and if you haven't read that, you need to :)), but Becoming Carter is on a whole other level!
It continues the story of Kelvin and Lily and how they are dealing with their relationship after she finds out about his family. I will say this: the character growth between Kelvin and Lily can be seen throughout the entire book and I love how they are stronger than ever. I loved Lily's commitment to Kelvin, no matter what was going on, even when introduced to Senior, she held her own.
Senior...you will have to experience him for yourself. He was not to be messed with.! The entire book had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. It had everything from suspense, sex, love, shocking twists and I loved every minute of it :) I'm seriously looking forward to book 3!
WS Greer has become one of my favorite authors and I can't wait to read more from him. Do yourself a favor and get this book! You will not be disappointed!

I was lucky enough to have gotten an ARC of Becoming Carter and I do think I was the lucky one. After reading Claiming Carter and falling in love with Kelvin and Lily, I couldn't wait to read more of their story. Once again WS Greer pulled me into his world of the Carter family and set me up for a great ride of emotions. There were highs and lows almost as if I were on a rollercoaster ride while reading this book and what a great experience it was. I am forever a WS Greer fan... I will now start stalking him for the next book in the Carter series..

I sit here looking at this screen trying to figure out how to even write a review that will do justice for Becoming Carter.
"On Writing"
Let me start off by pointing out this is book two in The Carter Series. Book one was Claiming Carter. I want to be honest, I liked Claiming Carter but didn't fall in love with it. But from the writing style I knew the author had more potential, so I stuck with the series. So now back to this book. Book two Becoming Carter blew me out of the water. It was a total 360 from book one. I loved it from the start.
I found Becoming Carter to be written great (beyond great in certain areas!) The flow to it was amazing. I love when a book can suck me in from the first chapter, and it did just that.
"On Characters"
I was very excited with the characters in Becoming Carter. While they are the same characters from book one they are written with more personality. You can feel like you know the characters, like they have came to life right in front of you.You can also see the strengths in Lily emerge, you see the protectiveness in Kelven show, and then we have Sr...... Ahhh Mr Kelvin Carter Sr himself will have you feeling mixed emotions throughout the entire book. His character was written perfectly. He makes you love to hate him.
"On Plot"
I thought the plot was well laid out I love when a book can continue to flow from the first one (or previous in a series). Sometimes I feel there can be a gap from one book to the next but the leap from Claiming Carter to Becoming Carter was smooth sailing.
The overall plot/feel to this book is different then book one (I loved that!)There are move twists and unsuspected things that happen the suspense throughout the book is amazing! I personally think that is my draw in to book two is the story is never in a dull moment. It's many waves of emotions, with high and lows, and love and hate.
I can't wait for book three. I know it will be even more amazing then this book (if that is even possible) but I think the author found is calling when writing these characters and I hope he carries it out in book three.

Lily is too weak
She seemed to clueless is this part. If the man is flipping the house right after his uncle is framed, it’s obvious he’s looking for something. Standing there asking what’s wrong and what’s going on, pissed me off. She had too many stupid questions about what was happening knowing the life she was involved with.

Heating up

At the end of book 1, Claiming Carter, Lily & Kelvin Carter Jr. had been through some drama, which would actually be a minute amount of drama compared to this book! After the break-ins, car vandalism, and attempted kidnapping & murder by Lily’s ex-boyfriend, Timothy Bulger, Kelvin & Lily settled into their new relationship & fell deeper in love. After being confronted by a Russian mob boss, Kelvin finally told Lily the whole truth. At first she walked, then realized how deep her love for Kelvin was & returned.
Book 2 starts out with a bang or more like a boom. And Kelvin & Lily’s happy little world is blown to smithereens. During this book, they have to FIGHT to survive. Fighting to survive the Russian mob, fighting to survive the Carter’s, fighting to survive Kelvin Carter SENIOR! The one thing they don’t have to fight to survive is their relationship, and their relationship doesn’t have to fight to survive either.
There were a several times that Lily noticed things and it wasn’t completely clear whether she told Kelvin or not, which really made me want to shake some sense into her! There are no such things as coincidence when dealing with the mob. Tell your man everything, in exact detail!
This book is full of drama, family drama, danger & hot, erotic sex. Kelvin Carter Jr. is so sexy, and is so stylish, his style is one of the things that I like the most about him! And make that all the Carters. The entire bunch is so stylish, the imagery so vivid, I’m jealous of not getting to go suit shopping with them! Lily is extremely stylish in this book as well.
I don’t want to give any spoilers, but I can say that the next book is set-up for even more conniving mind games, drama, family drama & cop drama. And the author has promised that it will be even hotter than before! Holy crap, bring on some more Kelvin & Lily!!

I really want to give W.S Greer a standing ovation for Becoming Carter. *Round of applause*.
Becoming Carter has everything you could ask for in a book, Suspense, Romance, Amazing sex scenes, Fantastic friendships, Oh and the MOB!!!
Becoming Carter delves back in to the lives of the seriously HOT Kelvin Carter Jr and the gorgeous Lily Hayes.
From chapter one author W.S Greer pulls you right in to the story. Believe me, You will be sucked right in. The plot flows perfectly and I loved how I was kept guessing as to what was going to happen next, Author WS Greer has managed to nail down everything in Becoming Carter.
We really get to see how Kelvin and Lily's relationship has grown, How much they love and care for one another and how she is determined to stand by her man regardless of the craziness going on around them and I do mean craziness. We see Kelvin fighting for his woman, to become the man he wants to be and not who his family expect him to be.
Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster that will keep your head spinning your heart thumping and you keep turning the pages.
We also get to meet more of the Carter men and get a look in to the Carter family business a little more but the one Carter that will leave you feeling really confused on how you feel about him will be Senior, Kelvin Carter Senior left me with a tirade of emotions that I'm still struggling to figure out how I feel about him.

Where do I even begin. This is by far my favorite book by W.S. Greer to date. His writing style only gets better with each book he writes. I found myself up all night just to finish this book. Kelvin is amazing in this book. They way he stands up for everything he wants and believes in is something every man should strive to be like.
Kelvin Carter Jr. is heir to the Carter Family, but does he want it? Lily Hayes a school teacher who finds herself stuck in the middle of the Family feud. Her role in all of this is yet to be determined. Kelvin and Lily's love story is one for the history books. The way W.S. Greer writes there love is like he has lived that level of love and devotion as it can only come from the heart. It is not like most authors that make you want to believe in the love there characters have. He makes you feel is and hope that one day you too can have it.
This book is full of action, adventure and just the right amount of sexy. I highly recommend this book to everyone even the guys.

August 25, 2016HI everyone i can recommend this book with the sexy and smooth KELVIN and then there is his school teacher LILANNA who is KELVIN'S girlfriend and is a school teacher who work's with lexy and to begin with at the beginning you get the impression LILLIANA has been kidnapped but it turns out they that they both have had limiousne/road hot,hot,sex,and they are out for the evening celebrating Mike's birthday who is lexys husband and lexy works with LILLIANA at the school and when it comes to paying the restaurant https://www.goodreads.com/book KELVIN very generously pays the bill and thinking nothing of it but mike is a little annoyed but it is more male pride than anything and when time to leave lexy and mike grab a cab/taxi and Tony KELVIN and LILLIANAS driver/bodyguard go's a little ahead of them and at first the engine will not start and then the limousine explodes into thin air with poor Tony in the limousine all burn't together

I must start by saying this series is quickly becoming one of my favorites!!!!! I fell in Love with Kelvin in book one and fell even more in love with him in this one. This book had me saying WTF so many times. Everytime I thought I knew what might happen next I was wrong. Kelvin continues to show Lillian how much he loves her and is willing to do anything to protect her.
Kelvin Sr is a man that will stop at nothing to have all the power and money. He even goes as far as putting his own family in danger. Kelvin Sr will do anything to tear Kelvin Jr and Lillian apart to make sure his family is the most powerful and wealthy family in Chicago. Will all the terrible thing this family has done be the thing that makes Lillian walk away or will she trust Kelvin Jr when he tells her "I got you"?
Absolutely loved this book and can't wait to see whats in store next!!!!

First of all, I love Will, think he's a great author in an industry dominated by females. I know it's not easy to compete in this market but I think he's done a great job of having his own place in adult romance/suspense. I do think this book could have used better editing. I caught more mistakes in this book than the previous two I read by this author and there were enough that it disrupted the flow sometimes and the only reason I mention it IS because of that. I know editing mistakes happen, but there were a lot here. The plot, characters, development and execution were on target and I'm looking forward to book 3. I liked Lilliana's growth and Kelvin's sensitive side. Overall enjoyable read and a definite recommend from me. ❤️ Kellie

Well the only thing I can say about this book was I finished it in a couple hours. I could not put it down. I am just waiting now on the next book. I can not wait. This waiting going to take forever. U rock Greer keep the books coming.

Interesting ending. Although I didn't realise there'd be another book after this one so the ending kind of leaves too much left open. I felt like this story dragged on a little bit though but I did enjoy Lily and Kelvin's strong partnership.

Just finished Becoming Carter and wow! It was even better than Claiming Carter. The hot sex and the edge of your seat events that happen throughout, um my head is still spinning. I cannot wait for the next book to find out what Senior gets himself into now and what Kelvin and Lily do to help
