I rated this book with three stars, however, that in no way means that I think it is not good. I thoroughly enjoyed it and learned quite a bit in the process. The book claims to have exercises the reader can do with the tips, which I found true for some of them, but not all. And at times I was a little confused. Otherwise, it is well written. My favorite part is the sample photographs and comparisons. I found these to be the most helpful.

I will probably reference this book often, as I am learning to use my DSLR camera.

-Only read half the thing, as the second half deals with photo editing not actual photography.

-The writing was quite bad, also silly.

-Learned a few things from it, but a lot of the stuff I either already knew from the manual that came from the book or I'd read on line, though that isn't really the books fault.
