Red Line: CIA Color Code: An Iniquus Action Adventure Romance

Rate this book
Will the risk of crossing that red line outweigh the rewards? They’re about to find out…

CIA Color Code Johnna Red’s mission is clear. She must hunt down a terrorist who is carrying out deadly attacks all over the world before the diabolical woman can strike again. Getting distracted by her handsome Delta Force Echo partner is not an option. Maybe in a different life, they could’ve been something. But in this life? Impossible…

Leeland “Nomad” Kesling is used to running DIA missions. Delta Force does it often. What he’s beginning to feel for Red, however, is entirely foreign to him. He accepted his romantic fate long ago. He knows the military life he’s chosen doesn’t leave room for love and family. But that doesn’t stop him from wanting it…and her…

Red and Nomad soon discover the threat they’re chasing is bigger than anyone realized. Determining where the red line is? That’ll be easy. Deciding whether to cross it…well, that will be infinitely more complicated…

Red Line is an Iniquus action and adventure romance that can be read as a standalone. Happily ever after guaranteed. Download today, and remember: better Red than dead.

Holy wow! I kind of don’t know what else to say about this book other than that. The action took off at a breakneck clip from the moment I started reading, and it never let up until I closed the covers. Red and Nomad are a pretty incredible pairing, their skills dovetail together nicely. Even when they’re not playing quite so nicely together. The story kept me glued to the pages and perched on the edge of my seat. That ending was nothing at all that I was expecting, but it was perfect for these characters. I can’t wait to see what will happen next in the author’s world.
I received a complimentary advance copy of this book from the author.

Fantastic! Can't wait for more!!!!
I have to say first that Fiona Quinn takes her research seriously! She does some of the stuff that she puts in her books. For example camel riding and glamping in the desert, tasting coffee in Morocco area (both in this book) and belly dancing (in another book). She likes her books to have authenticity in her books which also explains why she has people in the military to read her books to make sure that she has stuff correct. How do I know this? I follow her on Facebook!
Now on to this book! I absolutely loved these characters and had wondered what would happen to Red when I first read about her and now Fiona has answered the question! Red finds out some information about an attack that needs to be passed on to her team and just after that is done off the grid.
Leeland “Nomad” Kesling is sent on a mission with his team and after the OP he and a team member is sent to check into the missing Red. Why is Red not getting into contact with her team? That is what Nomad is sent to find out.
Now Red and Nomad are on a whole new mission. And it's bigger than what they are even aware of!
All I have to say is I truly enjoy reading all of Fiona Quinn's books and always look forward to stalking her next book! This is one of the authors that I will stop whatever book I'm reading to start reading hers!!! I'm normally a paranormal romance reader and even though Fiona's books aren't paranormal I gobble her books up like they are candy! I really can't wait for the next book that comes out even though I have no idea what the book will be about! Thanks Fiona for writing such Amazing and Fantastic books that grab my attention! If you haven't read any of her books before I suggest starting with the Lynx series and read them all (Uncommon Enemies, FBI Joint Task Force, Delta Force Echo, Strike Force, Cerberus Tactical K-9 Team, Cerberus Tactical K-9 Team Bravo, Cerberus Tactical K-9 Team Charlie) to find the reading order then check out Fiona's website https://www.fionaquinnbooks.com/ because even though you can read these books out of order all these books are connected and characters are mentioned in other books!

I love, love Fiona Quinn's books and the world that she has created. Whilst this book is not strictly about the exclusive Iniqqus private security organisation, it does involve two of the organisations they work closely with, the CIA Colour Code team and Delta force. As Johnna Red, the heroine, is working a dangerous scenario - suffering from a near deadly virus at the start, Nomad, of Delta force, is also sent on a special mission, set in motion by Sofia Ackerman, an antiquities expert who we met in an early episode as part of the Uncommon Enemies collection about Panther force - the Iniqqus team that her now husband is part of. This is one of the things I like about this on going series - the interconnection between organisations and characters across the books. In this story there is a quite ridiculous - but unfortunately easily imaginable, situation where the CIA Colour Code and Iniqqus/Delta force, in the person of Nomad, are working on the same situation, trying to track the same person, each without knowing what the other is doing. As in all of Fiona Quinn's books there is romance that causes the book to end on a sweet feeling - I am not a fan of romantic fiction and sex scenes and these books don't contain anything graphic. Yes, there is romance between the two American security agents but - my goodness, it's just a small part compared to all the excitement, fast paced action and danger! I am hooked on this world created by this wonderful author - who not only researches her books, she acts them out before she writes them!

Secrets beget secrets

Shocked..that ending…wow. Joanna Red and Nomad. Two new or newish characters to the series and both takes on a heck of a dangerous ride to get some details that may or may not be instrumental to several nations safety. They are both talented and entertaining with how they view the mission, information and each other. The HEA was there, but with a surprise I was not expecting and did t really care for with everything else they had gone through. Black and Grey were more present and I enjoyed seeing their human side. The K9s were not really present except a bit of Rory who is always a delight. I flew through the story and am excited for this new spin into the Iniquus world.

well as always I got all the intrigue and action i could ask for . the different countries and the depth of descriptive culture is as always, with Ms Quinn, perfection.
I'm still a huge fan of her Lynx series as I find the mixing of her vast knowledge along with action, suspense and romance is my preference.
in this book the romance is skipped completely and a lot of "reading between the lines " is required.
and, then there is the final twist that , for me was wonderfully out of character, hence a different writing style.
I held me breath and had to wait.... no spoilers.....

Great book

Mystery, intrigue, fast paced action, this book has it all! I was happy to learn more about the color code and Red. Nomad is a larger than life hero who will help and protect Red. Will they be able to follow orders and get the job done, take down the bad guys and find a way to be together when it is all over? Read and find out. If you enjoy this book, you will want to start at the beginning and read Weakest Lynx!

The worlds of diplomacy, Special Forces, CIA spy games, treason and terrorism collide in Red Line. It's a definite departure from what you've come to love about the Iniquus series. I was mesmerized start to finish. It's fast paced, action packed, suspenseful, and dangerous with a lot of intrigue. Many of the scenes that are so finely detailed that you feel like you're right in the middle of them as they unfold. There is an understated romance element but it takes a backseat to main themes of the story. I found both Nomad and Red to be compelling characters as they worked both separately and together to accomplish their missions. You'll find a surprising but welcome twist in the epilogue that is delightful.

CIA operation

This is a very well written and well researched story involving mainly the CIA. CIA stories are not my thing. Also, the ending is mixed...some happiness and some sadness. That also is not my thing. It is a very well written book though. People who like CIA stories and real life endings will enjoy this.

Fate and fatalities crash together when two exceptional individuals find themselves chasing a near mythical piece of history and following those linked to it.

Suspense, drama, action, and unexpected connections with life ending, life altering or career altering tangles.

Personal connections beyond process and profiles.
Startlingly sexy based mostly on their intensity.

Red Line

Another amazing book by Fiona Quinn. Nomad and his Delta Force team are drawn into Red's life in order to check her safety status. One situation leads to another as the two of them join forces to stop terrorist attacks throughout the world. This is an incredible action packed adventure filled with excitement, danger, suspense, and a little bit of romance.

abrupt ending

These books are superb in all aspects except the endings. This is the first time I’m commenting but having read a few in a row it’s become an annoying pattern. Abrupt detail-less ending then skip a year or two for the banal epilogue. It’s as if the author loses interest at the end. Surely it could be handled in a more reader satisfying way?

Good until the end

I always love Fiona Quinn’s books, but this one was a little different. The book just abruptly ends. It is like it is missing a couple of chapters. I was enjoying the book until then. Hopefully all the color code books will not be this way.

Good read

Nomad and Red work for secret government. The couple end up working together to stop a terrorist group. Some of Iniquus characters appear but only briefly. Looking forward to more books from Ms. Quinn.

Outstanding

As always, this is a great tale, with excellent characters and pacing. The ending came as a surprise because I didn't see it coming, but it seriously works. I highly recommend the entire series.

Nomad and Johnna Red

This is another good story. I have very much enjoyed this whole series and the lives that intersect with Iniquus. Romance and action together that pumps the blood and ends in an HEA.

It was great to see things from Colors point of view.

Another great book from Quinn. This was like the best Lynx books. Lots of suspense and intrigue with twists and turns. I would love to hear from both characters again.

Just made no sense

The story was so convoluted. It was hard to follow and even harder to become invested in the characters. And a terrible ending.
