"You know my name, but not my story...here goes"

Let me start off by saying...Holy crap on a cracker this book is amazing!!!! You think you know the story, but you have no idea.

This time it's Willow's turn. She has lived her life as Cree's little sister, Annie's aunt, Milly and Lacey's buddy, Greyson's girlfriend and now Tripp's sister but...Who is Willow?

After a horrible situation/breakup with Greyson, Willow feels as if she will never be the same again. It's like she was no longer herself.

"I cry for the door slammed shut in my heart and cry for all the what ifs. And some nights I even cry for the Willow who actually lived and didn't simply survive."~Willow

After talking with her best girls, Milly and Lacey, she decides that she needs to try and move on with her life and be the "bad a** self" she always has been. What she wasn't expecting to walk into her life was a certain man named Miles.

"My eyes are absolutely in love with him. He's a walking advertisement straight from the wrong side of the tracks. I mean, his face is that of a Greek god, but his look and dress scream bad boy-the type of bad boy you want to ride off in to the sunset. To Hell with that, he's the kind you want to ride all night."

With Miles renting the apartment at The Shop, he and Willow were bound to cross paths. Fate had a better plan. She kept running into McDreamboat everywhere. And he couldn't get enough of his Crazy Girl.

They became quick friends and enjoyed being around each other. They found that being with each other was better than being apart. Willow was also finding it harder to hide her past. She thought if she told Miles everything, he wouldn't want to be around her anymore. His stay seemed to be temporary anyway.

"Why try to be something you're not? You really want to waste your life being a fake. Just be you."~Miles
"I love being with you and you're not broken, Willow. You're perfect. You never have to be something else with me." ~Miles

SWOON!! Miles puts the 'charm' in charming, I tell you! He is just what Willow needs to get herself out of the funk she's in.
"Truth be told, I have wanted a chance with him from the first day I met him."

Our pasts are sometimes a hard thing to get over. Willow is moving forward, slow but steady. But she's not the only one with secrets and a life she wants to keep hidden.
Miles left California for a reason and he knows that eventually his past will collide with his future.
"I can't loose her. I can't. I've never had anything in my life worth fighting for until Willow."

"All know is that we both need a different kind of love, and we're so f**king close to finding it together."~Miles

"I love you grande, Wils."
"I choose you forever, Miles."

But will love really prevail? Can pasts really be forgiven? Is family the answer to everything? Who will be by your side when your whole world is crashing down?

"What kind of sick world do we live in? We have two options, lay down and die, or fight back and build a life."

"It was my mistake that saved my life. It was my mistake that set me free. And it was my mistake that led me straight into the arms of my future."

AHHHH! This story had my heart hurting and racing at the same time! HJ Bellus has a way of telling a story in a way that is so relatabe. You want to be friends with these characters. You want to hold them and comfort them. Willow and Miles are just amazing people and I envy their strength. They are adorable with each other, as well! Between the TMNT sheets, Hunter Hayes references, crapping pants(hehe), that notebook and those darn fortune cookies, I couldn't get enough!
You also revisit with the whole My Way Crew and meet some new people that are just as wonderful:)

"You've always known my name and now you know my story."
Forever, Willow

This is a different type of love story. In some ways, a TRUE love story. Love is hard! It's not always hearts and flowers. Sometimes it's pain and heart break.

* * * POSSIBLE SPOILERS * * *

♦️BOOK: #3 in the MY WAY series. Can be read as a standalone but features most characters from the previous books. Full length.

♦️EDITING: a few minor errors found

♦️POV: first person, heroine

♦️SETTING: small town near Fort Collins, Colorado / trailer park in California

♦️HERO: Miles Tackett--Mechanic. Backyard street fighter. Tall, slender yet muscular, shaggy brown hair, blue eyes, face scruff, tattooed, scarred. He's a big kid, simple, sexy, sweet, caring, patient. Had a horrible and abusive upbringing.

♦️HEROINE: Willow Fitzpatrick, 22--Baker/cake decorator. Cree & Tripp's baby sister. Auburn wavy hair. Barely surviving day to day after a recent miscarriage.

♦️PLOT: After being used, broken and discarded by the man she has always loved, Willow has lost herself. She's now angry, bitchy and argumentative to all those around her. When Miles arrives in their small town, he worms his way into Willow's life, they become friends and he brings her back to herself. Just as she finds her happiness, Milly & Cree cruelly force Willow to choose between her family and Miles.
It was extremely disappointing to see how Milly & Cree react when they find out the real reason Miles came to town. Milly hits an all-time low when she mistreats an innocent child because of her own pettiness.

♦️STEAM LEVEL: moderate, 2.5/5 - a couple average sex scenes

♦️ENDING: HEA, Epilogue - 3 years later, No cliffhanger

This book was a 5 star read when the main H/h were on scene. Miles and Willow. They both had their heart ripped out of them, Miles by his upbringing and mother, and Willow by a disjointed family and a cheating, despicable boyfriend. But they found each other when Miles came to town, yes with another agenda, but immediately knew that Willow was someone he really wanted to know. Beautiful Miles, with everything that had happened to him he still was a loving, caring compassionate alpha male who just tore Willow's eyes out every time he downed that Cap'n Crunch cereal right out of the box with this tighty whitey's on.

The book was less than a 5 star read when Willow's family was around. The first two books in this series were about her brothers Cree and Tripp. I did not read them and maybe I would have liked them more if I had (Tripp was okay, but the wives and Cree were not). They were like the Wild Bunch, gross and out of control which was tolerable until they turned on Willow (and Miles) because of Miles' background and the secret he came to town with.

Well, Willow showed them. She chose Miles, lived in his trailer park, adopted his surrogate grandmother and made a beautiful life for herself and Miles.

A lot of things that happen in this book are not totally explained or explored. Miles and Willow's friendship and then relationship just seemed to "happen". Maybe I'm used to long drawn out relationship drama and angst in other books, but I was completely okay with them just finding and loving each other.

Willow has known heartbreak, in face after a humiliating end to her marriage she can't seem to pull out of the hostile rut she has found herself in. When she meets Miles, a renter who has an apartment of her sister-in-law, she just wants to smack him. He is handsome, more so than any man deserves and doesn't seem to be perturbed by her rude behavior.

Miles realizes Willow is dealing with a ton of emotions, she is hurt, betrayed, and in a frenzy of unfocused anger. Miles has dealt with his own issues and knows that Willow just needs time and that eventually she will realize it is time to move on. Friends to lovers, Willow is starting over and happier than she has ever been, but when she learns a secret about Miles everything in her safe world is about to shatter.

I wasn't expecting this one, there is a lot that happens with all of my favorite characters from the first two books. Miles is filed with surprises and I was a bit torn on Willow initially because she was such a sweet character and she is pissed in this one, but Miles has a way of softening her heart again. Another excellent read from H.J. Bellus.

HERE WE GO AGAIN! Another gut wrenching read from Heidi. I started Miles at 9am and finished it that afternoon! I absolutely could not stop till it was over. In Cree and Tripp we know something is up with Willow but we finally get to dive in and round out our My Way Series. We also get to meet Miles which was a DELIGHT!! Just like the previous two, this book is hilarious! "I'm going to die in Granny's Diner in a son of a bitching sundress." One of my favorite lines!!! But wait! Not only do we get to ride out the journey with Miles and Willow our other beloved characters get some drastic makeovers. I am very partial to Milly and love her story so the things that Heidi has put everyone through this time around was intense. You know that you have found a great series when you are ugly crying and messaging the author "WHY??? HOW COULD YOU??" At the same time!!! Miles is a great addition to this series that I love whole heartedly and I am waiting with baited breath for Luke!!!

Best book in the series so far for me. I can't express the disappointment I felt towards Milly and Cree! I loved Miles and Willow together. I think what I can appreciate about this author is the situations and plots the characters find themselves while fictional are relatable. Lacey is Milly's best friend and did the right thing in the end, but I will admit that the only person I didn't find issue with in this quagmire was Tripp he stood by Willow and in doing so Miles. Cree was in a tight spot as Milly is his wife, but I just didn't understand his position. Milly didn't endear herself to me at all in this book, and while I understand her pain I didn't think her actions were justifiable. Forgiveness takes time and requires you to set your pride aside. I liked how Willow stood with Miles in the face of that much opposition, and didn't move backwards she continued to grow and move forward.

This is the final book in the series and I wasn't happy with how everything turned out. Cress, a sensible man, takes on an asshole persona when Miles' secret was exposed. Milly, Cree's wife, acted like a spoiled rich bitch which is not what was portrayed in the previous two books. To me, I wasn't too happy with how the characters personalities changed all of a sudden

So this one made me mad. I hated the ending with strong passion. I hated how the family reacted to the news. This was not how I thought they would react and it made me mad. This was a fun loving family and without a second look they turned their backs on each other. The writing was good. No grammar or issues.

Where do I even start...
This story was what I thought it would be but also so very unpredictable at the same time !! You can figure out by book 2 that something is wrong with Greyson and Willow. There are hints to her having issues and him being , well a guy. So I assumed this would be their book , but damn I was thrown for a loop and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Right from the freakin start the book grabs you , we are in the present and Willow's notebook entry is horrifying to say the least. How did this happen ?? What the heck is going on ?? Who is who ?? There was no way I could put the book down. We then go back and get the backstory that brought her to the here and now she was writing about and I loved the way this was set up. You knew it was building to something big , and each time something happened I thought , oh here it comes , but no just more build up !!

At some point during Tripp and Lacey's story things went downhill for Willow. We have no clue what but we know it has to do with Greyson. Now Willow is a shell of herself , just getting back to being present in her families lives. Of course in walks Miles. Unlike the other guys he is not from the area or family and is looking for a place to live. This meaning he will be living above the shop and becoming fast friends with Willow. Their journey is by far the funniest interaction wise. we know Willow has been scorned , she is one nasty chick but it is laughable because Miles takes it all in stride. As Miles cracks Willows walls he is also welcomed into the family by all , adults and kids. When bits and pieces of Willow's past creep up it is very sad and shocking to find out her secrets. But of course Miles has a few secrets of his own. his family is screwed up and he does not want Willow to know anything about them. But once she gives him her all she wants it back from him. Their chemistry is super HOT and once the start they don't stop !! Willow takes a journey into Miles life and an even BIGGER secret of his comes out. Willow has to choose - Family or Miles ?? Thus leading to the notebook entry at the start...

There is so much in this story that I loved , also a lot of sadness and real life situations that were hard to read. Miles is such a great guy , full of love and compassion. The way he protects his family despite his horrible past is heartbreaking. He lays everything on the line more than once in this story. Willow may be stubborn but when she loves you she is fierce and there 100%. They really have a great story and I loved it but also have to say my views on Cree and Milly changed a bit at one point. There were some major family struggles. I would love more about any of them !!

Holy crap. Seriously, I don't even know where to start. This book was absolutely amazing. I don't think the "right" words exist to describe this book.

HJ Bellus first grabbed my attention with Cree and I was hooked immediately. Tripp was just as heart wrenching and compelling as book 1 in the My Way series. HJ stays true to herself and doesn't disappointed with the third My Way book, Miles! I honestly didn't think I could love a book boyfriend more than I did Cree or Tripp but I'm pretty sure Miles is my favorite so far.

Talk about a rollercoaster of emotion! I think I felt every emotion possible while reading Miles. And while I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone, I have to say I really didn't see that coming! HJ changed everything we thought we knew about the My Way crew in this book. I love it when an author has the ability to keep me on my toes all the time. HJ seems to always keep me guessing when reading her books!

Miles is swoony and ballsy and just plain perfection! Who wouldn't want a Miles of their very own??? A crazy person that's who!

Willow has got to be one of my favorite heroines I have ever read. She's not the perfect, cookie-cutter leading lady in a book. She's real. She's got issues. She's just like us. I feel like I know her, like she is one of my best friends. Milly and Lacey are awesome but for me, willow takes the cake! (Pun intended!)

I want everyone to read this book and get to feel everything I felt while I read. It's truly the work of an absolutely amazing refreshing writer. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for something new and exciting to read!

We knew Greyson had hurt Willow in Tripp, but we didn't know how. We learn in this story and completely sympathize with what she's been through. And although I didn't feel Cree stood up for his sister as he should, Tripp made up for it.

Miles, WOW...the man is perfect. He's had a really bad childhood and had grown into a wonderful man. He puts up with all of Willow's harsh words and never gives up. He knows he wants her, knows she's hurting and continues to give her support and show her just has great he is. When she finally comes to realize how much she cares for him and he her, I was thinking - FINALLY!! But Miles has a secret and I was so proud of Willow for her support. After everything he's given her, the fact she stood by him proved she loved him as much. Their relationship is so sweet, and yeah, Miles is also hot, so their chemistry is pretty intense.

Milly was a major disappointment to me in this book, as was Cree. Tripp once again proves he's a wonderful man and great brother. Lacey got on my nerves a little and made me angry also. She finally says something that should have been said earlier, but I give her credit for her acknowledgement. Annie is Annie. She's such a bright smart young lady.

This book takes us on a journey watching these two hurt individuals heal and become truly amazing. Another great book in this series.

OMG where do I even begin?! This book is probably my favorite of the series thus far. While you still get the snappy banter of the my way girls and the fun of the family dynamic, you also get a big dose of the dark side of the story. Willow has always been a part of the series but she was quiet and stayed in the background. You got hints of her story, bits and pieces from the other books. But this time you get it all and it's not a happy story. But you see her and you know that she's hiding.
Miles is the same way. He comes in and you see this happy guy who just might be able to save Willow and bring her back. And you root for them. And you hope that they can find their happy. But there is so much more to Miles under the surface. And what's hiding under the surface is what turned the whole series upside down for me!
This story broke my freaking heart. And then put it back together. And then broke it again. You see a different side to the characters that you've loved from the beginning.
I don't do spoilers so I will just say that YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK! Especially if you've read the whole series and have become invested in these characters. It changed the series for me. I always say that I can't wait for the next book. I REALLY CANNOT FREAKING WAIT FOR THE NEXT BOOK!

I was lucky enough to get a complimentary copy from HJ Bellus. And, I loved Cree and Tripp, but I think Miles is by far the best one yet. It is so compelling.
Willow is broken. She was cheated on and her heart is broken beyond repair. She has always had a family to stand by her through it all.
Miles is also broken. A secret that can tear apart a family. A drunken, drug addicted, abusive mother. Not only does he have physical scars but also mental scars. A fighter, fighting for the love of his mother, fighting to keep away his mother's "friends", fighting for food, and fighting to keep the love of his life.
Miles and Willow together make the perfect couple. They finally find their true love. Can their love heal these scars? A secret threatens to tear away the love they have found.
Will Willow choose to stand by her true love over family? Will her family stand beside her and accept her new-found love for Miles? Or will this secret tear apart the family and the love they have found?
HJ Bellus tells the story of love, betrayal, and family like no other. Miles is the 3rd chapter to this series. I hope she continues on with this series for a long time. Great job HJ.
I highly recommend this read and would give 5+ stars if I could.

Willow may act like she doesn't care but deep down she does and I think Miles is perfect for her. I loved her attitude though, "I want a burger. You can have a beer. I'll let you stay here and eat." In a weird state Willow is a funny girl, "I have one last question. If I wasn't high as a kite or look like I've been kick boxed by an ape, you know, would you have shagged me today in that sexy a** car of yours?" Miles he's just sex on two legs I loved him right off the bat, "you have to quit nibbling on my ear while I'm driving. I'm positive that at any given moment I'll be going blind from this raging boner." I'm really hoping there's more to come from this series I'm just not ready for it to end.

Very very very good!
I liked it very much and the story touched me from start to finish!
The author deserves congratulations! Great job!
The story captivated me and I couldn't stop reading. Our heroine is very human and faces major problems in her life. Our hero is a man who overcame great difficulties in life and became a wonderful man.
I fell in love even more by Tripp.
Creed disappointed me a lot!
Willow and Miles make a wonderful couple!
I highly recommend!
I would like to learn more about friends of Miles. I found the characters very interesting.
Loved It!

Wow...This book is a lot different than the first two. It hurt my heart to read it, but I finished it in one day. I just could NOT put it down. So many emotions going on, you just need to know how it all turns out. And what a surprise at how it ends. I am so mad at Cree, Milley & Lacey. But way to step up Tripp! Sad at the outcome, but totally understand the HEA.

I freaking loved this story! It wasn't a funny humorous book like the first two, it was much harder and a bit darker, but it was a great story.
I love how HJ Bellus just pushes the story right along and doesn't drag things out. They happen, they happen rather fast and she gives you a great, fun story all at the same time.
Can't wait for the next one coming up

I one-clicked this book at about noon and finished it at 4pm. True in Heidi form I was laughing out load and ugly crying. From the prologue I knew this book was going to make me want to kick Cree butt. And I love Cree. It had me going WTF what did Willow do to deserve what you are doing to her. So to say this book drew me in from the start in an understatement. This book brings up past hurts and breaks a family a part.
Cree really surprise me, he knows what Willow went through with Greyson and after awhile he gets on her case to move on but he doesn't realize that that kind of pain doesn't just go away because you want it to you have to work through it and come to terms with it in your own time and Willows time table and Cree's were completely different. Thank God for Tripp and Lacey!!! They took Willow in when things with Cree got to bad for Willow to deal with. They were there for her when she needed it they didn't try to push her. But then again they both know what she is going through. Though out this book they made me laugh so hard. They were definitely made for one another. At this point I really shouldn't be surprised at what comes out of Lacey's mouth she doesn't have a filter at all and isn't that this reason I love her so much.
I think Willow's heart start to beat from the first time after she sees Miles. She was a total crab to him but it just rolled right off of him. Miles was the only one that could get Willow out of her shell even if she through her bad attitude around. When Willow really started to write in her little black book I knew my heart was going to be breaking for her in no time, a part of me didn't want to know her pain because in the other books she was so happy and to see her so fractured hurt my heart. But I had to know what happened to her to make her this different person. (I'm not going to lie I ugly cried.)
After Willow mends her heart with the help of Miles the things that girl did OH MY that's all I have to say ( I didn't know she had it in her). When she says that Miles is hers she really mean's it and all you other hoes better back off her man. Miles he is so sexy! He is also a man of secrets and one really big one that can hurt Willow and her family. But as the story go on you can see his feelings for Willow she is his world as much as he is hers. After all of the hurt in his life I am surprised that it didn't harden him more, it shows what a real man he is. (he is my new favorite in this series) Miles fights for Willow even though she don't show him any kindness(at first) he see her under all of the hurt and pain of her past.
Ok the two people that really knocked me on my ass in this story is Milly and Cree! I love them both but man I wanted to beat their heads together. How they couldn't be understanding and were plan mean just pissed me off. I had to re-read those parts because I thought my eye were making up words!
Willow followed her heart and it was the best decision she ever made. She is free, she is the person she was meant to be.
Heidi really knows how to gut punch her readers with her awesome story telling ability. She has the right combination of laugh your butt off and ugly crying to each of her story's and that's is what made me a life long HJ Bellus fan. So if you want a down to earth laugh out load, cry till you think you can't cry for a character anymore type of book/ series than The My Way series is for you. I can promise that these books will not let you down. We are going to be seeing a lot more of Heidi in the years to come you can count on it.(she is that good) Now to wait for her next book to come out! Let the torture begin

Let the torture begin.

The "My Way" series was my first journey with this author. I first thought Cree & Milly would be my favorite couple until I read Tripp & Lacey's story which was amazing. Now I just finished Miles & Willow's story and am blown away! Beautiful that these six damaged people found each other, as individuals and as a family and can make it all work - together. The love and caring they show for each other and their extended families is so hopeful. I see another book in this series ("Luke") is coming and it's already on my WTR list while reading others by this author. Thanks Ms. Bellus! Excellent writing!

Oh wow. More troubled souls in Miles and Willow. How patient and lovely is Miles. Wonderful caring story with continuing appearances of the other characters in this series of books. Especially the ever gorgeous and fantastic Tripp, by far my favourite of them all. Thoroughly recommend this whole series that just got better and better the more I read.

Another incredible journey of the main characters. Growth, strength, love and forgiveness. All part of being a human and moving forward when live throw things at you that you might not know how to handle. Can’t wait for more from this author.

Wow! I knew that Willows story was going to be a great one, yet I never knew the emotion I would feel throughout it. Cree and Tripp (book 1&2) made me smile and had some emotional scenes. Yet, Willow and Miles their story tugged at my heart the entire time. Yep, tears were falling throughout this story.

Willow is broken. Her spirit is gone and she feels like she doesn't belong even with her close knot family. She hasn't been happy in ages and no matter what she wont allow herself to open up and heal the hurt inside of herself.

Miles is new to town and falls for the fiesty "crazy girl" Willow. He sees and relates to the hurt she is feeling within and doesnt give up on her. He makes it a point to show her that he is there as a friend and then eventually as more.

The story shows how ones past cant absolutely destroy not only their own future but also effect the future of those surrounding them. My heart literally broke with the drama that takes place. The characters and their actions were shocking to me. It definitely was a page turner as I needed to see if family and relationships would be able to recover from such brokenness. I also took away that you truly dont need "things" to be happy in life. For Willow she only needs the love of her soul mate Miles and she would be content.

This story is fantastic and I truly wish there could be more. Go read this series! You too will love them
