I received a copy in exchange for an honest review. ** Spoiler Alert**

I have read every book in the Order of the Blade series ( 9 books are out so far) by Stephanie Rowe. This was the first book that I have read by her that is outside that series.

I really enjoyed this story. I literally did not know anything about the book. I did not even read the synopsis before I started reading. Ms. Rowe wanted readers and I love her writing so I figure I would go into it blind. I dove into a thrilling mystery with great romance (of course, I would not expect anything less from Ms. Rowe). I really enjoyed the plot, it was very intriguing; it definitely kept me wanting to read more and more everyday. Ms. Rowe did a great job of giving the reader enough information to know what is going on but there was still plenty to try and figure out. There are lots of twists in the book, which I was not expecting and it was interesting to see Ms. Rowe write in this way. I've only read her paranormal books and when there is a twist, it's "normal" because it's in the paranormal world, anything can happen. It was very appealing to see Ms. Rowe write a different genre. What I love about Ms. Rowe's writing style is her descriptive depiction of her characters. She has an amazing way of describing her characters emotions and thoughts. Every book I've read so far, all the characters are really complex in their emotions; there are always conflicting feelings, sadness, anger, frustration and love that each character shows that any person can relate to. All the emotions that are being characterized are from every day people, they're realistic; which is what I love about Ms. Rowe's writing.

The only reason I did not give this book 5 stars is because I needed more background information on Ben. He was one of the main characters and I felt I needed to know more about him besides that he was in a gang since he was young.

What exactly happened to him when he was young to make him want to join a gang? Where were his parents? Did he have parents? Is that why he was so upset when his sister got married? Because she was his only family left? How did he go from gang member to lawyer? What kind of person did he used to be if all the people at his firm could turn on him in a murder trial? These were some of the unanswered questions I had about Ben.

Overall, I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to read an exciting mystery-suspense-thriller-romance. I would like to thank Stephanie Rowe for sharing her work with me. It was a pleasure, as always :-)

"Ghost," book 3 in the "Alaska Heat" series is an intriguing story with likeable characters. I would've given the novel four stars if it wasn't for the ending that just ruined it for me. An ending that's nothing new or original. Just the same old cliché of an ending that God only knows why so many authors follow. While most readers do enjoy such tediously and unoriginal endings, I'm personally sick of it. In fact it pisses me off. Do you know what I'm talking about? I think you do, but if you can't remember or figure it out let me refresh your memory. After only knowing each other for just a few days, the H/h declare their love for each other and....wait for it....they get engaged. This drives me insane. Arghhhhh!!!! Fuck! I can only roll my eyes so much. Talk about a major killjoy. If you want to read it, be my guest. Endings like this make me want to bang my head against the table each and every time.

I was gifted this for an honest review. I've read the other two in this series and I loved them, but Ghost is by far the BEST in the series. It takes you on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Within minutes of starting it you're pulled in and it captivates you until the end. Excellent third book in the Alaska Heat series.

This book was so good. This is about Ben Forsett, who is hiding out in Alaska for a crime he did not commit and also convicted. Mari Walsh moves to Alaska to rebuild her life after a violent tragedy. Nothing is as it seems in this story. There are so many twists and turns in it you have to be sure you keep up. Lots of action and some romance. Truly a twisted killer on the loose. Highly recommend.

This is the first book I've read by Stephanie Rowe and while the story was different to the many others I've read, it didn't grab me. There was no rapid pulse during the danger scenario 's just confusion. It wasn't my cuppa tea but that doesn't mean someone else won't enjoy it.

Didn’t want to put this book down

This was a good suspense story. If I hadn’t had to go to work, I would have read it in one day. A serial killer is tracking down an ex & he is very good at catching his victims. But Mari has help from new friends in Alaska. Those friends will change her life.

Fantastic book, so many twists and turns. I read this series out of order and this was the last one. What a way to finish. It now makes me want to go back and reread the whole series in order. Just great.

Interesting story line. My opinion is that the female drama was a bit to much. Our hero a bit off center.

OK. I'll be honest here. When I first discovered this book wasn't about Mason (Kaylie's brother in Ice) I was hugely disappointed (I'm still hoping for his book by the way). Ben soon managed to change that though. Rugged, tough and willing to do what it takes to track down his sister killer and keep the next victim safe he won me over within the first chapter.

Mari was sensible and while wary, was able to look beyond her experience to see the truth and the man Ben was. It was great to have a couple work together without the angst (secrets, misunderstanding's etc) that seems to happen so often in books these days. They were both open and honest with each other and it worked.

What I did find interesting and unusual, was we never got the killers POV, and as a result there was a major twist with one of the characters that I never saw coming. My only negative to not getting the killers POV was that I'm still not sure why he was doing what he was doing. I would have liked a bit more explanation there as to his motivations.

I know that the Alaska Heat series was supposed to be just a trilogy, but I'd really love for there to be more in this series as the supporting characters were also interesting. I'm hoping that Mack and Charlotte will be getting a book soon (hint hint) as well as the intriguing bar tender David that we just saw a glimpse of. I'm sure there is a story to be told there.

I really enjoyed this book and read it in one day.

Edge of you seat suspense.Romance that will steal your heart!

Ghost will have you holding your breath for what comes next. John "Sully" Sullivan is now a ghost chasing the ultimate ghost . For more than a year the pursuit has carried John across the country. Bringing with him the hidden ghost of who he was , never realizing that who he was may now be the only salvation for the ghost's one and only failure Mari. Mari who for the past year has been struggled to outrun the fear and the ghost of the nightmare that invaded her life and stole her family.
It's been a year . Now Mari lives in the beauty of Alaska far from where she called home. Now all the players are here and a new game is already in play.
Mari sets a drink down looks into a pair of green eyes not realizing he is there for her . For the first time in a year both Mari and John see something other than the ghost that haunt each of them.
But in the shadows is the game player . The ghost who has set in motion a replay and this time both will pay the price. For Mari and John how do you stop a ghost no one can see coming including you.
I didn't want this to end. Alaska Heat delivers in a big way. I can't wait for the next .

Ghost – Staphanie Rowe

Anyone familiar with Stephanie Rowe’s work will already be familiar with the amount of description she adds to her characters to make them leap from the page and into the imagination of the reader. This novel is no different. The storyline is gripping from the get-go and I found that I had to carry on reading to see why things were happening.

Aside from the lead characters, the background is filled with interesting people I hope appear in books of their own soon. The Alaskan setting makes me want to pack my bags and move there.

An addictive page turning, or clicking in my case, read which will keep you hooked until the very end – then if you’re like me, you’ll hop onto the internet to find the next book and sulk for a while when it doesn’t exist yet.

This book is part of the ‘Alaska Heat’ series but can be read as a stand alone novel. With my personal opinion giving it a five out of five score I’d recommend this book as definitely worth purchasing.

Chill book 3 in the Alaska Heat series by Stephanie Rowe
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

Ben Forsett goes to Alaska to find the one woman who has escaped the fate of his sister. Ben believes Holly's husband "died" then returned to kill her like several other women before. Ben is Alaska to find a woman (Mari) who he believes is the latest victim. Going by the name John Sullivan he meets Mari and gets hired to repair her home.

Mari Walsh goes to Alaska to start over. She believes she is responsible for her ex-finance's death. Just before they were to be marries Mari breaks her engagement to Joesph. Then he is killed by his car going off the bridge into the water.

Can Ben & Mari save their friends and themselves? Can they catch this killer before he kills again?

If you enjoy mystery then you will enjoy this story. Stephanie keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way thru.

The story is definitely a thriller. It had some twists and turns which kept me on my toes. Even though Joseph was mentioned only briefly throughout the book, you just got a sense of his evil presence within the storyline. I just never knew what to expect or when he would show up.

Along with the suspense was the romance, which of course I love. You journey with both main characters, Mari and Ben, who have both suffered great tragedies in their lives, as they find strength, trust and love with each other all the while trying to stop Joseph before he kills Mari or anyone else.

I loved Stephanie Rowe's other paranormal books and was not sure how this would be, but I was not disappointed. This book is just as good as her other works. I found the story to be riveting and hard to put down.

*I got this book in exchange for an honest review*

This was not my first book by Stephanie Rowe that I read. I came across her Order of the Blade series and loved it so much that I wanted to try her other books. Although this is the third book in the Alaska Heat series, it is the first of the series I have read. I absolutely loved it and now plan to read the other two. The descriptions of the characters and events that transpire are such a pleasure to read and the words just fly off the pages. I always find it difficult to put down one of Ms. Rowe's books and this one was no different.

If you like or love Romance/Suspense then I highly recommend this book. If your more into Paranormal Romance like myself, then give her Order of the Blade series a try. You won't be disappointed with either series!

Picking up in the same Alaskan setting as the earlier entries in this series, Ice and Chill, Stephanie Rowe has crafted another suspense thriller that pits two strangers against a mutual threat. I thought the first two books handled the suspense and the romantic relationship more deftly. This book was melodramatic in the extreme and I just couldn't connect with Mari or Ben/Sully. However, the writing is solid and it is a quick way to pass a few hours. Decent, but not stellar, romantic suspense offering.

I liked this book, but not quite as much as the first two. I'll admit to being a bit disappointed that we were basically ignoring the characters we'd already met and focussing on totally new ones. (Other than one brief glimpse of Cort's back at the bar). It would have been nice to have a little more tying these books together into the one series, other than it just being "hey, we're in Alaska".

The book was well written, if perhaps a little too far fetched at times. Still, there was plenty going on to keep me entertained. We are set up nicely for another book which does look interesting, so I'll continue to read the series.

It is a good book, I just preferred the first two. Put it down to personal taste.

Everybody knows I love Stephanie Rowe, so there is no surprise if I say that I love her writing and there are slim chances I will not adore any book of hers..... Well, this book blew me away!!! I could not put it down! A beginning that has you guessing and hoping for the best, a storyline twisting and turning, when you least expect it and an ending that makes you beg for the next book NOW! It has broken characters all over, secrets that are dangerous and our two heroes trying to think Way outside the box. The mystery combined with romance, suspence and even some elements of thriller, made me read it in one go! This is a definite re-read for me!!!

Loved this book, love this series and I love Stephanie Rowe's writing. When I read Stephanie Rowe's books I constantly ask my self, how does she think this stuff up??? I loved the twists and turns in this book and the whole "stalker" theme but my favorite part is the whole "switch-a-roo" you get at the end! I totally didn't see that one coming. This story is basically about a woman Mari who runs to Alaska to get away from a tragedy she experienced and "Sully" (Ben) who goes to Alaska to save Mari from a stalker she doesn't even know she has. Great story, characters, sexy scenes, drama, suspense and great writing - couldn't ask for anything more!

First I have to say I am a huge fan of Stephanie Rowe .I have devoured every Order of the Blade book more then once .
Alaska Heat(contemporary) is not my usual genre, but I have to say that I really liked it.
I was able to finish this in one night. This story was filled with both excitement and a few nail biting moments, The Characters were relateable and they really played on your emotions . I really Liked BEN! (I dont know what is in the water in Alaska but they should bottle it up and send it over here.)
If your a fan of Stephanie Rowe then this is a must read!

This was the first book I read in what I now know is part of Stephanie Rowe's Alaska series and I will definitely be reading the first two books in the series. Really enjoyed the writing style and storyline, plus all the characters were great as well. The story kept me interested until the very end and looks like there was a lead-in to the next book and I will definitely be reading it as well!
