New series in a small mountain town. FBI Agent Grace Malone has finally been allowed to conduct an investigation on her own. Her first case is going to Mystic Lake as a followup to an anonymous tip the Crossbow Killer could be there.

Aidan O’Brien settled into Mystic Lake after doing 10 years in prison for murder. With that background he of course is at the top of the suspect list. But nothing is as it seems with Aiden which Grace figures out especially when there are two attempts on her life while she is with Aidan.

Lots of twists. Loved the town of Mystic Lake along with its citizens and the small police force. Looking forward to more in the series.

Quick easy read though there was no doubt how the story would end. Getting there, however, was enjoyable.
