If I could rate this book in the negatives, I would. This may just be the worst piece of fiction ever written.

You’re expected to root for Penelope and Edo to get together but Edo is the WORST man to ever have graced this earth. He’s SO selfish and some of the things he does/says are straight up unforgivable. Then he just turns around and they both pretend it never happened.

Penelope was kind of likeable at times, at the start she was very much empowered and ‘I’m doing things my own way’ and I liked that. She was very insistent on being her own woman and not letting a man turn her life around completely.. but then towards the end she lets a man turn her life around completely and sacrificed everything for this guy she wasn’t even sure actually liked her? (I wasn’t convinced he did either. I hated that man)

Then there was the fact they repeat the same conversation A MILLION times. If I had to hear about Dante ONE. MORE. TIME. I was gonna kill myself. I also could not give a shit about her parents or her ex but she didn’t mention that even NEARLY as much as he mentioned Dante. Which was supposed to show why Edo is the way he is cause he’s ‘guilty’ about it.. but there was no reason at all for him to feel guilty about it.. there was literally nothing he could’ve done to change things he was what.. 13?

This entire book was by far the stupidest thing ever written, I do not suggest this book on my worst enemy. I struggled so hard to get through it, it actually made me want to never read a book again.

really loved the start of this, it was so romantic. The h is holidaying by herself in Italy, and is literally knocked off her feet by the H.
And it's love at first sight for both of them, tho it takes another 200 pages to acknowledge it. The start is the best tho, the author does a great job of building the connection, the emotional as well as the sexual.
It helps that the H has the most gorgeous villa and takes her into a hidden glade in the beautiful Italian countryside. They have magical sex - and she gets pregnant despite contraception, such are the plot requirements.
When they see each other again, he is the billionaire boss of her company and she is pregnant. For reasons, they are antagonistic towards each other, and the rest of the story is the miscommunication, misunderstandings, past hurts affecting present actions, makeover and HEA. Liked this more than the first one, looking forward to the final one so I can meet these characters again.

This book is a winner. Hero totally stole my heart. He was so kind and loving and tortured. Poor man he was stuck in the past and he pushed the heroine away. He was a control freak and sometimes that was so funny how he wanted to protect Phoebe and their unborn child. Phoebe was betrayed by her first husband so she was also reluctant to fall in love but Edoardo was a truly irresistible hero! Their chemistry was off the charts and the epilogue with their son and pregnant heroine melted my poor heart! 5 brilliant stars! ✨✨✨✨✨

That was fun. The premise was so totally ridiculous, but somehow, the characters won my heart. Great writing. I became really invested in the outcome.
