Dani Collins never disappoints me with one of her sizzling, passion filled stories and I loved this one we have met Jackson Visconti in a previous book and now we meet the beautiful Brielle Hughes, can they find love after spending one very passionate afternoon together four years ago, when they meet again and Jax learns that he has a three year old daughter Sofia?

Bree has been devoted to her daughter for three years now and is loving being a mother yes a single mother but after the way her life was with her own father this is what she wanted after that wonderful afternoon and she didn’t have any idea how to get in contact with Jax she had no idea who he really was and he didn’t know her full name either, but when she runs into him her life is about to change, she has never forgotten him and can still feel the chemistry.

Jax has just discovered he has a daughter to the woman he has never forgotten but he is wary of loving because of his past but he wants Bree and Sofia and insists that they marry, the spark between them is still as strong as all those years ago, but will they come through all the ups and downs?

I loved this one, fabulous characters, beautiful settings and this one sizzles with romance as they learn to trust each other, I do highly recommend this one to any lover of a good romance, it is sure to leave you smiling as it did me.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.

After graduating college and a heartbreak, Brielle Hughes takes off to Europe for a trip before she gets a job. She meets a sexy man, Jackson Visconti. She has one night of passion, that was red hot knowing she’s leaving in the morning to head back to America. Jackson was going through a hard time too. He let his family down. Now all he wants is to do right by them. Jax can’t seem to forget Bree and it’s been four years. He judges all women with her. When he sees her at his family’s business, he was shocked. So was she. She has a secret and doesn’t know how he will handle it. Bree has been hurt by her father who never wanted anything to do with her. She doesn’t trust easily. Will it be the same for their daughter? When he finds out he’s the father of her daughter, he’s angry but understands. Now he has to protect them from the media. Will she let him? Will he accept his daughter? What will is family think? They’re very wealthy. Will they push her and her daughter out? Can they become a family? Will they learn how to trust again? How will they navigate around their daughter. She loves her papa. The characters are wonderful. I was rooting for them and their daughter. It’s worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily

Fast paced and enjoyable! Surprise babies are one of my favorites and Dani Collins wrote this one beautifully. After a night of passion while on vacation, Bree winds up with an adorable daughter to love, but no way to contact the man who shared in her fate. A few years down the road she is shocked to see his face in a family photo with her new boss ... but not as shocked as he is to learn that he has a child! A marriage of convenience is agreed on as they return to Italy with him, but falling for your husband who is emotionally closed off to love leaves Bree unsure of what to do next. I liked Bree and Jackson a lot and felt like they were developed well so we could easily understand both points of view. The ending was a little abrupt, but I enjoyed them very much. Highly recommend!

Hidden Heir, Italian Wife by author Dani Collins is a May 2025 release by Harlequin Presents series.

There were some fun moments and witty dialogue. The chemistry between Jax and Bree were instant.

Hidden Heir, Italian Wife by Dani Collins is a fast-paced, emotionally charged romance that kept me hooked from the start. Told with intense passion and sharp dialogue, it follows the story of a woman who must reveal a life-changing secret to the powerful man she had met only once. I appreciated how the emotional stakes were balanced with glamour and drama. While there were some twists and turns along the way, the chemistry between the characters was undeniable.

Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

Jackson Visconti, Jax, and Brielle Hughes, Bree, share a night of passion. The next day, he doesn't ask for her number, leaves a business card with his information, and leaves Bree. Fast forward three years, and Bree is a single mother trying to provide for her daughter Sofia. Jax finds out that the result of their broken condom and her food poisoning, where she threw up the morning after pill, gave him a daughter that he vows to protect with his family name. That means making Bree his wife, but they don't know each other and need to work on letting the past go to move forward.

Nice story. It flows well, and it's a little steamy so it is for the 18+ year old readers.

A good book

This is a story about a secret baby and a second chance. The h met the H about 4 years ago, they had a short fling and later she found out she was pregnant. They had a misunderstanding and she didn’t contact him about her pregnancy. Both had emotional issues as well as trust issues, both had been in relationships and both had gotten hurt. It was hard for them to trust. The plot was good and good character development. They learned to trust and love each other. Good epilogue.

A sexy read full of family drama. I enjoyed this a lot. It's been a while since I read a book by this author, and I'm happy to report that her stories are still very emotional and full of passion. Jax and Bree's chemistry is incendiary, and I loved the backstories of their own families, which drove them together and at times apart. I read this book so quickly and hope to read more HPs like this again!

Surprisingly good read considering the plot is similar to dozens of other novels in this genre. The author took a familiar plot and made it her own.
