I completed the Kowalski Family Series Re-Read of Doom!!!
It took almost all of July, and I faltered here and there. There was mystery. There was surprise. Finally there was Book 12 which turned out to be the next generation Kowalski romance I desired.
I know there is one installment of the next gen series left to be published, but I am now fully re-immersed in this world. I will not need to re-read again. I hope.
Anyway, as for this romance, really intriguing version of secret baby trope which worked for me in a big way. It was also an excellent vehicle to include all the Kowalskis and there was much less brother in-fighting in this one which made me happy. Both main characters had chemistry and the love story was heartrending. What really works in this tale is Oliver. So much Oliver. There should be a futuristic series set in 20 years about Oliver he works so well.
Shout-out to Kindle Unlimited for having all but one (two?) in the series available. It facilitated the re-read which I think I needed because I was definitely in a romance reading slump. This is good since I now have a month's worth of current romance releases I haven't started that I will savor.
I enjoyed this read; I was needing feel good, comfortable rom com. And it fully checked these goals. Throw in a wonderful family, a one parent household and a sensitive, caring man and you fully have me.
If you are in the mood for a book like I just described, this is your next read. I recommend it.
I love the series and always buy anything Shannon writes. The story was enjoyable but I gave it 4 stars because I couldn’t see a 22 month old child with the vocabulary written for him. It seemed more like a 3 yr old talking.
